These two are excellent, I don't always need a villian to be a big baddy just a brilliant and/or twisted mind. Dr. Dooms ego and actual sorcery were always a plus though 😅
Mister Sinister's modern origin is completely different than the one he had when the character was originally created. He was intended to be a mutant whose powers caused him to stop aging when he was still a child, and the Mister Sinister form was a projection or alternate form that he used to interact with the adult world. He looked ridiculous and had a ridiculous name because he was a child's concept of a supervillain brought to life, like an evil Shazam. He secretly operated out of the orphanage that Scott Summers grew up in, became obsessed with him, and killed one or more couples that expressed interest in adopting him.
Sinister is the one I hope is pulling the strings as we reveal the X-Men universe. He deserves not maybe a Thanos arc, but definitely one that does a slow burn reveal over several movies.

I have a great graphic novel where Mr Sinister is tied in with Rasputin the mad monk, and Colossus who is related to the Russian "holy man." He's certainly one of Marvel's more interesting villains. A video detailing his many powers would be cool.

Wow, fascinating. I haven't read many stories about the character, but I've always appreciated Gillen's portrayal: in Uncanny X-Men before and Immortal X-Men now. And his actual presence into the Krakoan society and the Quiet Council makes his actions extremely interesting. Can't wait for part two.
What? No? That's not how that works at all? Big A powered up a very intelligent, deranged, capable person who became Sinister; Xavier wouldn't be forced into becoming Sinister. Positive spin on your idea though. Big A left an evil nugget in Charles mind during their mental duel before he died. That nugget slowly festered and grew, before becoming Onslaught.

Just his name alone made him cool when I was a kid and then when I saw his character design I was subtly afraid. This made him the most frightening villain I've ever seen on first impression. He will always be a top villain on any list. Fear Mr Sinister!

Hmmm I haven't seen him in the Dazzler series but I haven't read all of it yet. What issue? I do know that he expresses interest in Dazzler later on in his history when he attempts to get one of his Marauders to possess Dazz. But I don't think that's in her series... I think that might be in X-Men.

When their son was dying, Essex became obsessed with mutation to save his son. This would lead to him being a disgraced scientist. He formed the marauders to find DNA before meeting Apocalypse. Despite the death of his wife, Rebecca, He lived by the name she gave him on her deathbed, Sinister. His experiments and work led to the Birth of Nathan Summers AKA Cable. He took his wife's last name Millbury to run a clinic to continue his experiments. He worked with Amanda muler, a founder of Weapon Plus and a relative to Scott Summers AKA Cyclops. Before he died, He cloned himself in order to live forever. His first clone now has a place on the Quiet Council in Krakowa, while his second clone is working for O.R.C.H.I.S, an organization that is an enemy to the X-Men. He was responsible for creating Madelyn Prior, Jean Grey's twisted Clone.
Shorter version: a writer had an idea for a villain but left the book, and then later writers ran with it and turned it sideways to create a convoluted story that is impossible to follow. This is all of Marvel post-1995 or so.
I enjoyed it at an edgy teen... but does anyone else remember the story "Sinister's List" and how terrible of a story that was? Not terrible as in writing, but terrible as in: damn, Sinister was at a low here.
