Welcome to another Santa Cruz video!
We are landed at a gigantic school campus, UC Santa Cruz, with a lot of steep hills and trees surrounding a popular school in California, University of California, Santa Cruz. Due to the environment and the size of the campus, the student dorms and class buildings are not built next to each other, therefore a shuttle bus ride is necessary to travel back and forth.
UCSC TAPS shuttle purchased a lot of multiple ex-SamTrans Gillig Phantoms, exclusively running on the two direction campus shuttle routes to serve students across different areas of the campus. Santa Cruz Metro also sends a lot of different kinds of buses for the four UCSC routes, so in the video you'll see 1998 D40LFs, ex-VTA D60LFs, and some other ex-MTS XN60s running around!
