Question the wire you had under the hood has 3 wires red , blk , yellow I seen you redirected the the power but what did you do with the yellow one I seen the fuse box was open and yellow wire was inside . If the positive was getting power from running light why do you need to tap in fuse box my harness has 3 wires so I'm trying to understand I can't find instructions on it at all .
TheDavidBrunner Yea I found that part out by replaying your vid very slow followed all your directions in the video and everything came out perfect 👌 thanks for the diy vid saved $$$ was quoted 250$ for installing alone . Thanks for reaching out hope this helps others as well 💯👍
Finally! Someone that had the same connectors as I do, tried hooking up to battery but they just stayed on all the time and don’t want that, so do you just cut the wire from the headlight so you can use the scotch lock to tap into turn signals?
Or what you can do if put the positive wire on a fuse. It works so much better and that’s how I have mine wired and had it for a year like that. Never had a problem.
os are clearly visible in my Rubicon 2023 headlights while I cannot turn them on. It is mentioned that I can do that using The tazer while others are talking about a 4th wire. Can you please advise?
You must have read my mind, lol. Can't wait to see it! My birthday is June 7th in case you are in the ordering mood around that time of the month, lol.
I bought a set exactly like this brand new for 40 bucks at a car market close to me. They are literally the exact same as what you have but I cant seem to get the white halo ring around the light working. Only the turn signal lights up the outer ring in orange
Did you ever figure it out? My turns signals also work but the white daytime running halo doesn’t come on. I have it spliced into the orange daytime light but still nothing.
OK that was kind of confusing I liked your video but I’m not clear on a few things . So what you’re saying is when I start my jeep up the daylight running lights will come on when I shut it off The engine they will go off? Because that’s what they should do but you didn’t exactly say that. I’m kind of unclear on exactly how you did that? Also I’d like to know exactly what brand of LEDs you put in and what you think of them do they flicker are they any good?
Great video man! But, I have a quick question. If I don’t want to have my DRL hooked up to my amber(turn signal) where would you recommend I splice it into? Thanks!
Hey fellas! I ran into the same prob where the halos were always on and rewired with your suggestion. All is good to go *except* now my passenger side low beams aren't working. Has this happened in your experience?
I love the videos man, happy 4th of July btw. I got axial led halo for my fiancés 2014 JK, everything works fine , but ran into some problems, with daytime running halo. I spliced the blinker light and worked fine, but if i splice the halo daytime running lights into same, won’t they affect the low beams and also blinkers¿ was going to just install 15amp switch button to use em, but she would most def forgot to turn that off, any advice I’d appreciate, thx u
So did you still connect the negative wire to the battery? Also what did you do with the other yellow wire that was coming out the same end of negative and positive connectors.
hey man you didnt hit the issue where your jeep didnt want to start after this? I switched to the axial as well and the jeep wont start or even attempt to turn over
Question ? My lights I installed are only flashing blue and red and the only color I can Change it to is pink !! Is that a wiring issue or light issue ??
The lights i just got have a QR code that you have to scan and install an app on the phone. Then you control the color of the lights with your phone via Bluetooth.
I have the RGB halos and when my parking lights are off and I use my turn signal, the opposite headlight halo flashes to whatever color I have it set to. when the parking lights are on I don't have this problem. is ther any way to fix that?
Where did you connect the red wire again ? Did you connect it on the same wire where you connect the blinker wire ? Or with the wire beside it which would be the middle one ?
If i connect the halos to my day time running lights they will stay on as long as the engine is on right? (because i have rgb ones and i want them to stay on as long as the car is on)
Every halo install I've done, i hook to running lights.... bam that easy. i would think running them off the blinker they would blink with turn signals..... hmmmm
I think is a capacitor I bought a set of headlights and capacitor was not included, they didnt turn on and directly to the battery they did. I guess should be a voltage issue but i don't have multímeter. I Will go with electric technician guy to install.
I followed this installation but had an issue with my battery dying, Would it be better to hook up the red wire to the fuse box with the adapter they included?
I bought my jeep with these lights already installed and the headlights come on every time I put the car in drive and turn off when in park. How can I disable this and flip my headlights on manually
Wow my teenage nightmare I came here looking for information on wiring these things the both of you communicated like you were speaking in cell phone im not at all shocked. It’s not like ur making a video on how to wash your car. Why not say a few complete sentences would that just overwhelm you processor or would that make you unattractive to females to complete a sentence while conveying a descriptive process. Don’t shrug me off as a millennial hater. Cuz im not like that and you’re not getting off by bleeding excuses like: I was raised by Netflix and have no idea how to communicate clearly. I’m a teach you a thing or two. Describe what you bought explain or outline the directions or the task that which the video will show you completing! It’s a responsibility to do your best and I know you’ve seen enough of these video ms period in your short lives and matching the music and editing it to such a professional level that there’s no excuse for mousing up and exhibiting the showmanship and descriptive process of Helen Keller changing a light bulb. Green pigtail on LED GOES TO WTF KNOWS I know the red one goes to the DRL AND THAT if you have any color besides white halos: ei blue red purple or green non multi color the gree wire must go to a switch :IMPORTANT FACT: and then to I believe the signal wire on the signal itself is the outside non black wire the red should go to the middle white signal wire signal DRL either how the fuck knows cuz it’s requires five complete sentences to convey which is 3 more than this video contains. I’m not mad just disappointed in millennials you’ve had more opportunities to learn and communicate with eachother and all it has done is seem to distract you addict you and destroy the social beauty of open communication and community. It’s sad 70% of you don’t even know how to ride a bike. Fort night and candy crush will be your legacy. I actually didnt utilize the fuse box ... So sorry for the delay. Any update?

Thats a great idea - what jeep!?
2014 Jeep Wrangler Jk unlimited sport

Fantastic and right to the point! Thanks much for this video!! Cheers
Good example of obsolete commenting. Can you provide a link to purchase the component you used to hack into turn signal?
Thanks!
I love it bro, now just to do something with those amber turn signal lenses, either get them smoked or clear and put some LED bulbs in them.
Just ordered!(:

On the driver's side the middle wire is white with green stripe.
Thanks Mike!

No flicker, TRIAL headlights off extreme terrain
Great video man! But, I have a quick question. If I don’t want to have my DRL hooked up to my amber(turn signal) where would you recommend I splice it into?
Thanks!
Hey Ace! So sorry I totally forget - any luck?
i guess I'm pretty randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch new tv shows online?
@Deangelo Arian i watch on flixzone. You can find it on google =)
Hey fellas! I ran into the same prob where the halos were always on and rewired with your suggestion. All is good to go *except* now my passenger side low beams aren't working. Has this happened in your experience?
Hm, thats strange ... any solution?
Check one of the wires has pulled off the connectors

Would it really effect the low beams/blinkers?
Ended up going thru fuse box with accessory fuse. Turns on/off with jk, looks dope,
Ryan Amabile nice! Send me some pictures on instagram!
Got the exact same halos that you have but confused if you used the wiring it gave you or another type
Everything that came in the box plus some additional standard wire.
So did you still connect the negative wire to the battery? Also what did you do with the other yellow wire that was coming out the same end of negative and positive connectors.
A more in depth video will be coming soon, did you ever figure it out?
Yes I did, I didn't connect the yellow wire to anything. They turned out great. @@davidbrunner
Did u end up connecting the negative wire as well? With splicing the positive?
hey man you didnt hit the issue where your jeep didnt want to start after this? I switched to the axial as well and the jeep wont start or even attempt to turn over
Nick you blew a fuse bro
Might of been a fuse?
Where do you get the yellow and red wires from Bc mine didn’t come with any
Thanks for your video. It’s helped a ton!

The lights i just got have a QR code that you have to scan and install an app on the phone. Then you control the color of the lights with your phone via Bluetooth.
That’s how I am changing the colors but it’s only changing to those few colors
That sounds defective to me ... any update!?
I have the RGB halos and when my parking lights are off and I use my turn signal, the opposite headlight halo flashes to whatever color I have it set to. when the parking lights are on I don't have this problem. is ther any way to fix that?
Hey Paul just seeing this, any luck?
I can't get the headlight adapter from the halos OFF
I have 2017 JK. Resisters mentioned in the video were not included in the package. Do I have to purchase them separately?
I purchased nothing additional for this install
@@davidbrunnerold reply, but I think they are asking if you have to have one, trying to install some now
Where did you connect the red wire again ? Did you connect it on the same wire where you connect the blinker wire ? Or with the wire beside it which would be the middle one ?
Sorry mate a better video will come soon. Did you ever solve your problem?
Connect it to the middle wire for tj is black and yellow not sure for other models but middle wire on blinker harness
You say in comments that you would make a more descriptive video I was wondering if that was out somewhere or you guys just didn’t make it
Some things changed, we actually parted ways with the jeep before i could
If i connect the halos to my day time running lights they will stay on as long as the engine is on right? (because i have rgb ones and i want them to stay on as long as the car is on)
I would think so ..?
So where do I connect the yellow wire that's next to the black you connected to the negative terminal?
Any update?
same here...?
would this be basically the same for a patriot?
J bird idk how to screw it into the Jeep Patriot. I have them and idk what to do
@@maxwillis4958 im going to have a friend fabricate a brackette for me.
Should be!
Every halo install I've done, i hook to running lights.... bam that easy. i would think running them off the blinker they would blink with turn signals..... hmmmm
Tried that haha
Good video. What happens if I do not buy the resistor?
I think is a capacitor I bought a set of headlights and capacitor was not included, they didnt turn on and directly to the battery they did. I guess should be a voltage issue but i don't have multímeter. I Will go with electric technician guy to install.
What’s the music in the background called?
It’s called typical cheap TH-camr vlog music. You can check it out on 95% of other TH-camr vids. Enjoy!
UnderCoverOverWater yeah but what’s the exact song called
haha you good bro?
I dont recall, try using the app shazam!
it's called shit
Any order. Like right and left. Or thats no matter? Are the same?
Order doesn't matter(:
Best install around
Yessir
I followed this installation but had an issue with my battery dying, Would it be better to hook up the red wire to the fuse box with the adapter they included?
Any update? I did not experience this ...
I bought my jeep with these lights already installed and the headlights come on every time I put the car in drive and turn off when in park. How can I disable this and flip my headlights on manually
Thats strange must be wired to your running lights maybe?
that works fine until you put your jeep into gear and the headlights come on, not the running lights. If you have a fix for that, let me know.
worked fine on our install
Same. 07 jk once its started and running all goes nuts
Yo give me a jingle! We should do some jeep stuff!
just saw your FB video! where at?!
Thank you,
how was it easy without getting shocked
Magic?
Thanks. But that F'ing music makes me nuts & couldnt even finish the vid
The fcuking music drives me nuts.
Rookie mistake
I would consider myself below rookie
