Hey Joe, I've split a jd1050, 2 wheel drive tractor. When I separated it, the pto drive shaft came out with the engine. It was a little stuck in the crank splines. After separated, got the shaft removed, but I can't tell if it's going all the way in where it's suppose to be when inserted back into the transmission. I've got a manual, but no information on the shaft. Do you have any input? Thx.
Dam fine job with the video man, I commend the sheer amount of work you had on hand doing it all single handed. I'm planning on replacing mine next year but you know how that goes lol. What kind of front loader is that you have with what looks to be another hydraulic fluid reservoir?? Is that the model 80? Mine is hard mount model 75. Mine badly needs front wheel bearings, front axle portal drop housing-hub seals and I have all needed parts to replace the entirety of the wearing items inside the hubs. Can you post more videos of you working on that beauty 1050?
Did you pull the pto shaft out from transmission driveshaft to use as guide? If so did you put it back in transmission driveshaft before you started to put tractor halves together? I thought of doing that but was worried things would fall apart in tranie.
