A troubled young orphan boy in Maine is taken in by a family and befriended by a lobsterman who shows him the ways of the world. Starring Dana Andrews, Jean Peters, Dean Stockwell, Cesar Romero, Ann Revere.
A perfect film with superb performances all round, especially from the then 11 years old Dean Stockwell, an amazing child actor who never gave a bad performance and was very adept at playing troubled orphan boys who were desperately seeking somewhere to belong and someone to love them and belong to. Filmed in the summer of 1947, released in the US in July, 1948 and in the UK in May, 1949.
...yep, no smut, no swearing, luv it...
No cgi, no foul language, no questionable liaisons - just a solid story and great acting. Thank you for posting.
Can't put this movie into words 👍👍👍👍Highly recommended.
