Been in reefing since Sanjay began in the magazines and the birth of TH-cam. He's ALWAYS had these type of tanks. Just a master at Acro and a real treasure for the reefing community.
I caught this too. I watched this video about 4 years ago. And I’m rewatching it now. So crazy what life has in store for us. I hope Sanjay still has this coral.
That’s a million $ Tank... Fragging and selling hard corals from the Tank is a living money tree. Naturally, it’s not his interest but what a wonderful financial tool. Endless $$$ My lord if he fragged out those and cleared up room he could have $10k and not dent the visual quality. Not only investments he would be sharing what’s created with many many people. What a great hobby!
23:46 I would actually love a video on each coral. Only 5 minutes a piece or so telling the different stories of it because sure the colonies are incredible, no doubt about it, but I find the stories SOOO great!
This is the tomb stone of reef for all of us...Thanks Jake for sharing such an amazing reef and ofcourse an interview with Sanjay alongwith it..So much to learn from these guys...
Sanjay is easily my favorite reefer that I've seen profiled on TH-cam. This tank is amazing. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get to and frag such enormous colonies in such a large tank.
Excellent video Jake. Well worth the wait. Sanjay is a really cool dude. I actually got to talk to him briefly at macna while walking in the parade in the heat. I like his philosophy on reefing. He really doesn't do much and doesn't have crazy equipment everything is just big for obvious reasons. That skimmer is nuts. This tank is real motivation. Keep up the great work.
@@ReefBuildersVideo especially with Sanjay. He is a natural conversater and is very entertaining! I can tell he really knows what he's talking about. I could watch him all day.
hey brother, sad to miss my chance to meet you at macna in nola. i recently rescued some classic frags from ricks reef before he shut down (local legend). i breed true percs on my channel and run a quaint marine fishroom, but i dont get much attention because my channel is about saving the world in general, not just reef restoratiion. i really love what you guys do and i wanted to thank you in person for helping people appreciate one of the most underestimatedly vital parts of our ecosystem. *Respect
Watched until the end. Fabulous reef with a reefkeeping philosophy that I follow. Let your system go wild after the first year. Ditch the mechanical filtration and allow planktonic sources to develop. He even has clownfish developing pelagic plankton.
Jake .. First of all I'd like to tell that I've been waiting for this video since you announced that you'll share it and I was expecting a lot and it is above my expectation ., secondly I love to say big thanks to you man for this huge effort to share all valuable info and keep us up dated of all what's happening in the hobby especially in our side "Saudi Arabia" we have no sources except you guys "TH-camrs" Thanks again and keep up the good work ❤️ Wish to meet you one day in person
Such a beautiful tank,I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video, I lost count, never get tired of looking at sanjays tank hopefully mine will look like that, but of course I have big shoes to fill.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I was searching for one negative comment to make sure I don't make mistakes when I get one for sure in my life. Making a reef tank like this would be a best investment any one can ever make & by investment I don't mean fragging n selling it 👍😎
Great video Jake, interesting to see his skills at maintaining a well established tank, also refreshing to see the "kiss" style setup, everything nice an simple. Amazing work as always Sanjay, and great video Jake!
i love this tank. i love his fish room it makes me feel much better now that i saw his fish room, cords all over the place reminds me of my fish room 😂 great job jake on this long video i enjoyed it very much
Hay JakeThanks for the vid I like many others have been chomping at the bit to see this one. Please thank Sanjay for his relaxed attitude to Cyanobacteria in small quantities as I have been stressing about the small outbreak I have and was about to go the hydrogen peroxide dosing route and will now just keep a eye on it and look for why it's there.
Gorgeous. I would love to know what percentage he uses for his light schedule. I love it! I dont like alot of blue either and he is able to get so much color pop without using to much. I know he said when he comes home he dims his blues to 60 percent. i wonder what his white is. Do you know? I don think he mentioned it.
His tank is worthy of another 27:37 lol I'm sure you could of made it an hour easily great video Jake would love to see a in-depth coral talk in part 2 like if you agree
I liked the way show to us all in detail to be appreciated, the lay back relaxed personality of Sanjay is reflected on the success of this marvellous creation. have to give I like it.
Hey Jake could you ask Sanjay what intensity he runs on his radions and how high from the water surface they are located...man his fish room was awesome..
Been in reefing since Sanjay began in the magazines and the birth of TH-cam. He's ALWAYS had these type of tanks. Just a master at Acro and a real treasure for the reefing community.
So refreshing to see a reef tank that isn't all blue lights and florescent corals.
Totally agree with his choice.
19:33. Wow, this is heart breaking.
I caught this too. I watched this video about 4 years ago. And I’m rewatching it now. So crazy what life has in store for us. I hope Sanjay still has this coral.

This tank is one of my inspirations. I love this tank one day I'll have a tank that'll look half as good.
The reef tank is stunning well maintained the looks is natural bravo 👏
Definitely a Reef Nerd! Love this tank!!! That wrasse is just awesome too!!!
Isn't it though? I need to do a video on just that species one day

Man I love watching Sanjay talk about his reef...
Simply stunning! I could watch this over and over.
Beautiful tank. I love the laid back roll with it attitude
Holy smokes, Professor Photon still killing it.Man wish I could crash at his place for a couple weeks to endlessly watch his reef in action.
That is the most natural looking reef tank I've seen on TH-cam. No wonder everyone in this hobby reveres Sanjay!
Sanjay is easily my favorite reefer that I've seen profiled on TH-cam. This tank is amazing. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get to and frag such enormous colonies in such a large tank.
This video is a combination of awe, jealousy, and salivation
Really like the extended video format!
What a great video Sanjay is so down to earth..
This tank is incredible!!!! so much to see there
Yeah it definitely has high replay value
Sweet video! His SPS growth is out of this world!
Reefer Madness!!! Jaw dropping ! So sick😲

Sanjay is such a mellow, down to earth guy.
wish he left some tips but i love the quality and content of this video, thanks for this
Best reef I’ve seen yet! The master is still on point!
Such an epic tank! Thanks for the extended nerd addition.
Yeah normally the 20 minute version is what I aim for but I knew there was a ton of ya'll who'd want to watch as much footage as possible.
@@ReefBuildersVideo especially with Sanjay. He is a natural conversater and is very entertaining! I can tell he really knows what he's talking about. I could watch him all day.
" other than AMAZING?!" Love Dr. Joshi!
Just fantastic. I think maybe a little too dense on coral population but I am guilty too. Incredible back support system, wow! Beautiful.
Great stuff... Love to see it running more natural.. Come to think of it.. It reminds me of the ocean..

Quite nice ! Im not a Salty, but can surely appreciate this !!
great video. Love that you were a student of Sanjay
Actually I was a college student, and I invited him to speak to my reef club in like 2003-2004 ish.
Awesome reef tank and interview!
Definitely worth the wait!! Simply beautiful!!
this is my 6th time watching this.. it's simply amazing
Trying to figure out who in their right mind would thumbs down this 🤔
Rick B someone that could never keep a tank like this
may be cuz of music
The Nemos
haters
36 wankers? Ha!
Its just amazing. There's probably a million dollars of coral in there.
I see such amazing content such as this and I'm always bewildered as to how someone could dislike it
what a epic tank this is!!
i'm a new reefer and have to learn a lot still before even dream of start thinking of putting in some of those corals
Love seeing you every year at TFP Frag Swap Sanjay.
Love the tanks and video very simple set up love it nice to see some old school
Jake, you the man. that tank is awesome
Great video Jake, interesting to see his skills at maintaining a well established tank, also refreshing to see the "kiss" style setup, everything nice an simple. Amazing work as always Sanjay, and great video Jake!

That back room is nuts! I'm trying to get into salt water tanks after many years of freshwater, do I need all that to have a successful reef tank?!?!
No.
No, check my channel. I have a budget reef😊
Great video. Keep them coming!
Great video buddy must watch again and again
thanks, that's got to be the best compliment!

Beautiful reef 😉👍🏻
dammnnnnnn
that is stunning bud
Great video!
It's been years since we've had an update on this tank - thank you! Much appreciated! Now how about a video update on the David Saxby tank?! Please?
I'll have to get back over to the UK first, but I got some sweet reefs lined up in the meantime.
Wow you make it sound so easy, just shows what can be done with a little love and care thanks for showing us your tank.
Great interview Jake
Sanjay and Mike P's tanks are what made me say fuck it I need that no matter the cost
Beautiful corals!
I was waiting for this video like a new Star Wars movie
How else can you describe this tank...other than awesome? ...Really awesome!
Damn i love how much sps colonies he has. So many nice sticks in there 😍
That's a reef tank!
Yes! 100% Long Video Worthy. 😁
Well worth the wait 👍
Your fish tank is really pretty
Needs more likes.
Just amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful!
His tank is worthy of another 27:37 lol I'm sure you could of made it an hour easily great video Jake would love to see a in-depth coral talk in part 2 like if you agree
OMG, look at all that equipment.
I green thumb for corals!! Definitely
Drooling over here!
its a reef heaven..😍🐠🐡🐙🐚
nice! a tetsuro sawada artwork in the backbround
What an amazing tank!
Great video! Thanks Jake
Awesome video. Would love to see you do a tour video of mike palettas tanks.
I liked the way show to us all in detail to be appreciated, the lay back relaxed personality of Sanjay is reflected on the success of this marvellous creation. have to give I like it.
great video ive watched a number of times, what do you call those yellow and black damselfish? i cant find them online anywhere id love some
Great vid Jake! One of my favorites
That tank is probably the same price as my house 🤣🤣🤣
Great video, but you cut him off as he was about to explain why he stopped running the effluent of his cal reactor into the chaeto reactor.
Damn! Simply amazing!
Can't they use LEDs that have all the color channels in one, like what we have not for planted tanks?
Very pretty. I think my current 90 gallon is as big as I am going though given my space and the amount of time required to invest in it.
Hey Jake could you ask Sanjay what intensity he runs on his radions and how high from the water surface they are located...man his fish room was awesome..
Does anybody know how high off the water he has his lights mounted?
# reef goals
amazing dream reef
Wonderful.
I would love to know what his lights are set at, his vortecs are set at and his parameters
Oh yeah, Great Video Jake
Knowing Sanjay personally, I know that he runs his lights at 100%
Interesting philosophy applied to an Acropora dominiated tank - high dKH levels, relatively high nitrates and whiter spectrum of lighting.
Hon-Kit Chang what considered high nitrates on his tank
Sanjay's tank has nitrates in the 40-50 PPM range.
What does he mean by sponges when he said about his sump at 10.48. the live one or the mechanical filter
The live ones. Sponges prefer darker areas so a little or no-lit sump is ideal for them
How much does it cost to maintain a system like this each month?
subbed with notification on
Makes me want to try acroporas. Only have ever had LPS and softies
It's a whole different ball of wax but very satisfying in a different way.
Awesome!
