Someone requested for me to cover this song a while back and I just got to it! I have been playing this song at my home church so it didn't take very long for me to record this one. I have definitely tweaked it here and there in the past few months. This song sounds a lot tougher than it is because there are at least 2 drummers on this song. One guy just has toms so you may be wondering, "How in the world am I supposed to make all of these sounds as just one drummer?!" Well you're right. There are 2 and that's what makes it sound tough and it is a 6/8 meter as well. All I have to say for this song is to keep it really simple. This song will change the atmosphere easily if you keep it simple and know how to control your power and the volume. It's all about the flow. I hope you enjoyed it and learned something out of this!

Do you mind explaining the sticking pattern starting at 1:00? I'm trying to learn this this song, but I can't seem to understand how the toms are suppose to be played :(
It is like this:
* = Accent the note left hand
+ = both/together
1 2 3 4 5 6
RLRL*RL*R+L*RLRL
I hope that makes sense. I basically alternate my hands doing 8th notes and accent only 3 of them.

+Shannon Lee Hey Shannon! I have a Mapex Meridian Maple 5-piece set. However, my snare is a Black Panther 14" with Walnut rather than Maple wood. It sounds quite different. My 5-piece set has a 14" snare, 12" tom, 13" tom, 16" tom, and 22" bass.
