- Three weeks ago, I went to the Traveler’s Company Road Trip Caravan in San Francisco.
I was lucky to get a reservation for the spiral ring notebook viking event. My appointment was at 12:45pm and the craftsman went on his lunch break by the time I finished setting up my notebooks for binding. Iijima-san, the creator of Traveler’s Notebook, noticed me waiting around so he kept me company and we had a nice chat. I also got to ask him to sign my insert and take pictures. He asked if he could look through my traveler’s notebook. I said yes but I was a bit anxious to show him mainly because the insert I use to write my raw feelings was in there. When he got to that insert, he said my handwriting was beautiful, but it was so tiny that he can’t read what wrote. Which is a good thing since these writings are for my eyes only.
After my notebook appointment, I browsed around and made my purchases. It was the second day of the caravan in San Francisco so it was a lot more chill and less crowded compared to the other days. Some of the items I was hoping to buy was already sold out but that’s okay because I got to just buy what I really came for, which were the road trip special editions.
I’m happy that Traveler’s Company is having a bigger presence in the US. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they mainly just did stamp caravans and pop-ups at stationery events in the US before. So I’m glad to live close enough to where they held their first proper caravan events in the US. I hope they do more of these. I will definitely try to attend any TRC caravans in the US as much as I can. Hopefully, next time, we could also meet up and journal at a nearby cafe.

It looks so beautiful! What printer did you use to print the pictures in the notebook, if you don't mind me asking? They look so nice.
Thank you-!! I print using an HP Color Laser Jet Pro M255dw on white matte sticker paper. Sometimes I use a cutting machine to turn it into sticker sheets, but I mostly cut by hand when I don't have time ♡
