    To all you heaters and critic's. Not only did he play the heck of it; he played his heart out. This man is on stage playing in front of thousands; while you critic's sit wishing it was you up there.
    So in closing, don't look for fats in what someone else is doing to deflect your own shortcomings. Because after all young blood if you could do better? It would be you on stage playing with the God given talent that this man has.
    Don't judge a person with the yardstick of your own shortcomings Young blood. Remember if "you" keep practicing; when you grow up you might back as good as him.

      Can't agree more. As a middling harpist myself I could tell. He had the beginning planned, and it was some simple riffs and licks. Granted, I think even drawing on the 8. Fine. But after that he went DEEP into the rhythm and nailed it. Inspiring.

      No, I am a full time harmonica player and have been on stage with big crowds many times. There's no jealousy here. He is an intermediate harmonica player at best, using visuals and tricks to make it seem as if he were advanced. However, I don't hold it against him. I am sure he loves music and harmonica and is interested in spreading joy, just like me. We are on the same team. Also, he is hopefully interested in improving and will later be able to play in a more advanced way.

    He does what he does, and he does it well. What are you going to do? Pay to see him? It may be drugs that inspired his extremes, drugs have inspired many dreams, like Jefferson Airplane, Jimmy Hendrix. This guy does what he does. He blew my mind. But, I do appreciate the harmonica aficionados who like slow, classic blues, with a melody, style and tempo that's in this hemisphere, not the next one. Means there may be some hope for me? I like good harp myself. I do like this man's lung control, and it would be something I would consider throwing into my bag of tricks, but I wouldn't make it my sole attempt to impress, and express. Got to hand it to him. He did something I've never seen before, and probably never will again. would be interested to know if he does, did, what drug he's on, did, does, might have done. Has to be speed, or something. Either way, his lungs have been trained, and you can't take that away from him. He may pay a heavy price for it, if in fact he used artificial means to attain that level of breathing, playing. First time I've ever seen or heard of him, so has anyone heard of him before, and is he still around, or did he have a heart attack? On stage no doubt! Or, practicing.....interesting.

      I drum for these guys, he barely drinks let alone take drugs, he taught himself to play harp while sitting on a harvester for hours at a time, he's the real deal, funny as fuck, highly imtelligent, incredible bush mechanic and a friendly giant, impossible not to like the guy if you met him...just sayin. Most of our set is groove based blues, bit of rock, funk, even country at times, good dance music.

    2009framat How did Mick Jagger get into that list?

    • @2009framat
      @2009framat 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jagger absolutely fits into this list:
      1. he was influenced by this musicians
      2. he covered at least 1 song from the mentioned
      3. Slim Harpo, Jimmy Reed and Buster Brown had all cross over hits in the US-Top 40 (a circumstance that did not happen too often with blues records)
      4. all artists were belittled by blues & jazz snobs :-)

    • @sc7prim
      @sc7prim 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I am influenced by them and cover their songs, do I get there too? Nope. There's nothing original about Mick Jagger's harmonica playing, while Harpo and Reed are instantly recognizable.

    • @2009framat
      @2009framat 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yuri Giderashko I just mentioned some of musicians I like that's all - you created this kind of "list" btw. Interesting you did not mentioned Buster Brown at all!!!!! And Mick Jagger created at least one harmonica riff that is recognizeable and of his own - just listen to MIDNIGHT RAMBLER :-)
