The Prime Minister tells Gangadhar that he is worried about how Samar's detention will turn out. He is asked to send Raghunath to investigate the security at Samar's village by Gangadhar. In the meantime, everyone-including the priest-claims to be Samar Singh when Nelson asks who he is. Nelson insults the priest in a rage. The bride and groom are asked to conceal by Samar. Samar reveals his identity after Nelson and Malcolm terrorize the villagers, but they heroically repel the British. Samar then tries to fight but is restrained by the British soldiers while Nelson holds the groom at knifepoint. Nelson murders the groom while Samar gives up. Malcolm is insulted by Samar's sister, who claims that no Indian would even spit on the British.
