Know those spots very well... and they're 10 times better now than they were then, as is the Largemouth fishing. Mix in a few bonus steelhead and browns, and it's absolutely one of the finest fisheries on the planet. I've got dozens of Smallies over 6 pounds and a handful of Largies over 6 and a 7.2 for my biggest - north of Dixie Line ~
It was great to shed light back then. They need to really make an effort to return. Chicago is more Fishy then ever before. A record can be broken in the tournament how exciting would that be !!??
I was there. I seen Rick Clunn doink a 3-4lber off the boat in lake calumet on that rip rap he fished the whole tournament. He might have won with that fish.
I had a booth at the show, attended the final weigh in. Woo was pure class on stage.

28:36 That Pro Craft boat has a narrow beam compared to the rest of the boats! I can’t believe they used Pro Craft boats in pro tournaments!
5:01 the field breakdown
I fished that one. If I threw swimbaits or drop shots back then, I would of beat ole Woo!
I bet that was a awesome experience. Do you still fish Art?
