Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, but here's a PV I just finished! It was originally planned to be released on July 4th, but some things got in the way of that.
Either way, here's to 10 years of Hetalia, and hopefully many more to come!

Personally what I love is how initially England really did essentially abandon America (read salutary neglect) as it was concerned with other things like France until right after the Seven Years War. I'm not sure if having England initially leaving America in the beginning was intentional or not, but I thought why not add some historical commentary? d:

I know this comment in like 7 months old, but I wanted to add something. In the historical asspect in Hetalia (Basing this off Hetalia history not real history) England didn't exactly leave America, he had to obey his duties as a country and he didn't see what it was doing to America until it was too late. Which was the exact reason America decided to gain independence. He wanted to see the world the way England does.

On a side note, since I've already seen a few comments about America (Alfred) and England( Arthur) abandoning each other, I want to share a point of view for those who ships UsUk XD or just dont wanna see dem baes being sad and alll
Sometimes we forget that while they(Alfred.F.Jones, Arthur Kirkland and all Hetalia characters) are the personifications, they are not everything of the countries.
You can see how they still participate in running their country and even war. It's not possible for them to have the feelings of every single citizen, hence why I believe their feelings, while could(?) be affected by their citizens, mostly belongs to them as beings. :P lol a.k.a how I avoid the angst

So the first half part is about America and the other is about England, isn't it?
Tran Chi Actually, sort of correct! This entire PV is actually England's POV. It opens with that ever famous rainy field scene, and what this PV is capturing is England's thoughts as he tries to figure put why America is doing this to him. All of this is sprinkled with a lot of America's reactions to England's actions!

This deserves so much more attention then then that Steven universe that got made. This makes so much sense as it was apart of history and what happen between the two nations drifting apart of a sad story . I appreciate your art style a lot too , it’s so groupie and soft like. Ahhhh...if you feel bad for England, remember how the soldiers often treated citizens in America who pretty much wanted to be neutral, or other war crimes in places like Battle of Waxhaw (Tarleton's Quarter. that's how 'Bloody' Tarleton got his nickname) haha. In my state, many Upcountry farms were burned, some weren't even plantations but subsidence farms.

Fern-is-tired I dont think they made him look like a villain. Maybe some people for some reason see it that way, but I sure don't. I felt bad for both England and America, since America was forced to leave England (who was like a father figure to him) because of the way the British treated his people, and England had lost America because his countrymen where not being fair to the Americans.
I think it is to show that the nations are human too. England can't control what his people do, and America can't control what his people want. As if they are puppets and the strings are the people. They have their own wills and conscience but were forced to do whatever the people want.
But also the people in America used to throw stones at English soldiers which caused the British to shoot. I mean is not excuse but if you were getting hit in the face with sharp things it’s gunna provoke you, right?
Why is this music so light and yet the theme is Alfred going off and leaving England to have a breakdown in the corner?!?

I saw this in Japanese, with Frisk and Chara (not sure if I spelled them right) but i thought it was sad. But when I saw this... I'm literally crying and can't stop. This always gives me the feels and I was just hit hard with the feels train.

England in a way, abandoned America, not literally he still wanted the colonies but rather England didn't quite see what the colonies wants and needs were as a priority. So England kinda brushed America's personal problems, needs, and general health aside only poping up again due to the French and in Indian war, during which mind you, England refused to help America, providing no troops or back up of any variety not even weapons and leaving the colonies to fight it alone. The colonies being majority poor as dirt farm families and only having scarces numbers of weapons won that war by a miracle of a few good generals and having to steal muskets from the French. The war in of its self was just one big ego rub for England and doubled his national debt. So what does he do instead of paying the debt himself, England pulls that "well, you had the most to do with it. You should pay for the war", to America, a war England refused to help him in, that left America with troubles of his own, and now is enforcing a debt tax that taxes him into outright poverty so heavy he is practically be eating the parchment paper of his tax returns just to get by, and the cherry on top of all this, America was not permitted to use the land many of his people fought and died over, but you know who was? The French that remained in it (this doesn't even begin to touch the insufferable acts). England from Americas point of view completely betrayed him, abandoned him, brutalised him, and didn't care about him. So if anyone was considering pity for England, I just want you to consider all that stuff I mentioned to you and heed it well ;-;)

I completely agree with what you said, but if you haven't realised yet, this show and especially this fandom is very historically inaccurate a lot of times. You shouldn't take it too seriously.
And before you feel pity for america, I would just like to add that america, although tired of the overall oppression from england at the time, only won because France tore his entire economy apart to drag England down. Then America had a huge debt to France, which he never paid back. France went from a decently wealthy country to a country where 80% of the people didn't have enough money to buy food, all because of America. So the one who should be pitied here is actually France.
I would also like to add that every single european country was very pissed off at england, because he had america, so when america wanted independence, Prussia, Spain, France, all jumped into the "Fuck England" train and did everything they could do get America away from him. 1776 America literally stood no chance against 1776 Britain without the european countries that helped him. Not to mention a huge fraction of americans immigrated to canada, because they wanted to stay loyal to Britain like canada did.
History is not "this group evil, this group oppressed". It's a huge mess full of coincidences and evil acts from both sides. And hetalia is not a place for all that, it's about laughing about our past. If you look closely at the history of any country you'll find some very dark stuff.
