    Great video! Like a dummy I occasionally tighten or loosen top by holding on to the handle and it will bend the nozzle right or left of straw hole. Then have to spend time realigning. Hopefully I’m the only one out there who does that!

      Thank you Mickey. Yeah, I should have mentioned that. If you put too much pressure on the handle it will snap.

    I bought my critter several years ago based on your videos. I really like it.
    I didn't realize that the spacing on the air nozzle was adjustable (even though I have an engineering degree). I'll have to play with that.

      Happy you like it Bob. The spacing of the nozzle really does make a difference.

    I was considering buy one if those, lphv guns aren't simple.. I'm using them but if I can use something even more simple, that's the way to go, and more if the manteniance and clean up is so easy. Thanks!

    Very useful video.....thanks Eric! I bought a Critter because of your reviews. Looking forward to using it once the weather cools down. I don't see any paint strainers in your Amazon store. There are so many kinds available that strain to different microns. Some reviews say certain ones fall apart, others say some products won't go through them. Is there one you'd recommend that would be the most versatile to use with different products? Appreciate any guidance you offer!

      Hi Miss Lori, hadn't even thought about that. I just use the paper disposable ones I got at True Value. I really didn't know there were different kinds.

      I take mine apart after every use...take the tip and spring off...run a paper clip through the hole in the tip..run a pipe cleaner through the tube...wash the entire sprayer with soap and water or paint thinner..takes maybe 5 minutes at the most....I've sprayed hundreds of signs...painted two houses and four decks with it...pays to keep it clean

    Thanks Eric! I need to try mine. I bought one because of one of your videos but I've never used it! I do get tired of spray cans. How much of a difference is there between cans and critter in coats applied/thickness?

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The critter gun sprays really smooth and even. I like it better than the cans, especially if you're spraying a large order or a large sign. The cost of any finish is a lot less in the quart cans instead of the spray cans, so you save money that way, too.

    I was wondering if i can use this paint with my critter gun??
    I bought some red rust-oleum oil based paint to spray paint 2 large metal cabinets. The guy gave me TSL throat seal liquid to clean it after. Did I get everything I need for this project??

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  ปีที่แล้ว

      After we use oil based paint, we clean it with paint thinner. I'm not sure what "throat seal" liquid is.

    • @futbol1972

      @@oldave100 so I can just get paint thinner at lowes?

    After it gets that "rusty", I'd be tempted to strip all that green paint down to the metal, and then powder coat it in my favorite color like purple or gold. 🙂
