My mother along with my brothers and sister went to this same exact concert. A guy told my Mom he hopes he has half the energy she has when he gets to her age she was 65 at the time. RIP my mom and sister. I truly regret not going to this concert but at the time I was burnt out on going to concerts.
I didn't dig Bob Seger much when I was younger. I had a weird thing about folks talking the lyrics too much. Later on after I experienced some life events it dawned on me what a soulful and brilliant songwriter he was, and that his stories had to come from his voice. I can't get enough.
This is my life song, my White Swan bowing to a life filled with all of its wonders. Next time we'll get right. Thank you to all that are here to listen with me...
I agree. Bob is a brilliant song writer. There is nothing I don't like about him including his personal life. Boy would I ever love to hop on the back of his Harley with him and ride off.
It was 1983. I was 18 and rode a Honda CB 500 all the way across this country... many miles listening to this song. Finally I was free from my parents. Omg thank God.
Cool 😎. I had a HondaCB500 and in Newport News VA one night, I got passed by a pack of Harley Riders and they had spurs on their heels and shot sparks all over me. I wasn't supposed to be on the road, just 17, and it pissed me off. Wasn't nothing I could do about it tho 😮

April 28 I get my last call as a police officer with an agency I’ve served for over 25 years which means I get to retire. This is not an easy career. I don’t care where you serve but had good moments and bad and as my journey ends, I’m looking forward to getting another mountain bike and riding the trails up in Copper Harbor Michigan, and this is one of the songs that I want to hear. As I’m running to the trails and overlooking the beauty.
Aug. 18, 2021 I hung up my duty belt after 34 years. I miss by brothers and sisters dearly but this song lifts me every time I play it. Plus Kenny A is a beast on the drums!

I was lucky enough to see Bob Seger live in Berlin when I was very young. Today I am seventy and have always loved and adored his music and listened to it every day. Bob Seger is simply great and brilliant.
I'm 36 years old, and here I am blasting this song. It's hard to put into words but i'll try. Growing up my parents were always listening to this, always going out on rides and long trips on the Harley since the day I was born. It was always nice to see them dancing in the living room, or just hanging out having some drinks listening to Bob Seger. Dad was a Vietnam veteran, 68'-69', he was a Marine, a grunt. March 13th, 2016 he was out on a road trip with friends, on a ride to Mexico. 2.5 years later, we miss dearly, it hurts. We will never know what happened, there was an accident and my dad is gone. Somehow they were split up and he was alone on those dangerous roads country roads in Mexico. My only guess is that someone came into his lane and his only choice was to veer off down into an area filled with boulders. I haven't ever really spoke of this, but this song and moment brought me here. I always just remind myself that he died doing what he absolutely loved most, being free and riding. Ride safe, be safe, watch for motorcycles. Semper Fi.
"Stood alone on a moutain top starin' out at the great divide". Only Seger could paint such a beautiful picture of the intangable feelings, emotions, and freedom of riding. Takes me back to some of the best times of my life. Bob you make all our hearts sing.
A song of the enduring human nature of true freedom. My favorite performer & song. Thanks Bob it'll always be in my play list & played @ my funeral.....

one of the greatest songs ever by one of the greatest songwriters and singers ever. The epitome of classic rock...gives me chills every time I listen to it.
my mom passed recently and listening to bob reminded me that she raised me on the best music a girl could dream of. she gave me good roots and I wish I could tell her that.
Thank you,and yea she really did have great taste ,not just in music, but in a lot of things,I was truly blessed to have her.I can listen to Bob any time is good.thanks for your interest and care
I remember this song when I first heard it, it lifted my soul then, and now I am in my 70s. I still ride my 2 wheeler and listen to the music of one of the greatest story teller ever to grace this earth. I hope his music last way after my last ride on my bike.
carolinaphil , my dad is 75, still rides a 2 wheeler! he never listened to rock. Ever. I played this for him a few mpnthscago. Before a ride. He closed his eyes, and for the first time ever, I saw tears. He looked at me and said change of plans. instead of a 30 mile ride for lunch, we logged 380+ miles!
I have watched this video over 30 times on one day alone! I LOVE this song, music, video!! Me, a little Black girl from inner city, listened to #RollMeAway #LikeARock. #WeGotTonight all the time. Still listening today! #MichiganBornAndRaised
Hello TINA-ANGEL, how're you doing, Your comment caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you!❤️
This is one of the most memorable kick ass songs in my life's history. I'm 49. Wow. Loved this song in high school. Bob propelled me spiritually. Great artist.
No flash. Just a songwriter that knows how to perform. After all, who needs dancers and big screens or pyrotechnics when you're real? So many artists out there these days wouldn't know an honest lyric if it hit them smack dab in the middle of their face. Half of them can't even play instruments. If you want to be a legend, you have to be good at the basics. And Bob is best.
I just saw him LIVE Saturday....... I STILL HAVE Goose bumps. I said the SAME THING. He is a littler grayer, but HE STILL OMG amazing.. I have to say HIS FANS are some INCREDIBLE PEOPLE. He did not even need a mic. That entire Room was singing WITH HIM and we really could not help ourselves. It Did not FEEL like 100.000 people, it Felt Like the MILLIONS OF TIMES, we pop in the 8 track. in the yard, [this is 40 Years of ADORING this man and his band. hey guess what, iam 68 years old ,and took my 5year old son to his 1st concert at 5 years old, yes it was bob seager,he is 40 now and still listens to the best rock and roll star on the PLANET!! GOD BLESS U BOBBY
That’s why he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004! He is the best. I, too, requested Roll Me Away for my funeral. Please Bob 1 more tour.
Sweet idea! I'm 75 and in great health right now but it's time to start some planning. I'm going to make a video with MC pictures and that song as the theme.
Bringing back memories. Bob was my late wife's favorite. We married in 1980 and I took her and her two boys to see Seger at Cobo Hall that year. This clip is from 1996. That is the year my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She died in 2002. Thank you, Bob, for the memories.
Seen Bob Seger in Houston back in 80’s before he quit touring and it’s still one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to , and he did not 1,2but3 times coming back out to give us so much music it still makes me smile thinking about that concert . He is Rock and roll totally
I went to every tour since Against the Wind - every show was great. Even at 74 in 2019. I saw Freddie Mercury with Queen 3 times. Bob has more charisma - different styles. He exudes joy, as does the band. Great songwriter, singer and entertainer
I’ve loved this song for years but this is the first time I’ve seen Bob and his band perform it live and it’s absolutely superb! I just wish I could have been there. Extremely talented musicians.
Thanks so much for your love and support all through this time’s.... it’s been a wonderful feeling 🎼 for my beautiful fans around the world. Though I rarely comment here... I’ll like we get along and stay in touch 🥰...... where are you streaming from?
I saw Bob do this twice. In his show he had a young lady on 2 large drums, and when he sings "next time we will get right" that young hit those drums so hard, her feet leave the ground. It was unreal! What a song!
My patient was passing and I gave her daughter a radio to soothe her soul. This song was playing and she passed peacefully...it was beautiful. Hospice nursing is a gift to mankind.
One of my favorites, being both s biker and traveler it's like he had a way of putting what I wanted to say ina song what s artist, painting s picture with a song, love and peace to you all in these turbulent to times💖🕺🕺☠️😎🌟💪🥧🔥🐯🐥🌹☕💘🌄
Yes, Hospice care is a wonderful thing, to help ease the pain of passing. I watched my dear Sister in law suffer terribly, in her last moments with COPD. Sooo very glad the decision was made to use Hospice care, to let her slip on to the other side peacefully. Thank you for your part, in helping those who need it. ❤
Bob Seger put on one of the best live shows out there. Not a whole lot of flashy graphic stuff in the background, just good pure music and he really engaged with the audience. Glad I got to see him in his (our) younger days. If I danced now the way I did then, I'd probably slip a disc or something.
I had seen every tour since Against the Wind, and I also Queen 77,78 &80. Different styles but I believe Bob had at least as much charisma as Freddie (IMHO more)
In 58 yrs, I've never heard another song that hits me like this one. The words, the style, all of it,...so good it still nearly brings a tear to my eye. If you've never seen Bob do this one live, you've missed out, big time.
Went to his final show in Charleston south Caroline I was 70 years old. What a ride. He was the best! I grew up with best music in AMERICA and I loved them all but The silver bullet was the best. Thanks for the beautiful ride.
l agree with you, indeed Bob Seger is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
The poet laureate of the Baby Boomer generation. Maybe the best songwriter of our time-chronicling things every single one of us has experienced-this song-get out and go anywhere but here. Her strut-the foxy girl (maybe you) that takes nothing from anyone. Rock and Roll Never Forgets-will live on way past Britney Spears and Fla-Ga County Line. Beautiful Loser-any one of us. Against the Wind--again-any of us. Doesn't get any better than this-Thank GOD I have lived during when this music was new and even more amazing.
Who remembers Bob Segar when way back when he was with Bob Segar and the Last Herd and did Heavy Music, 2 plus 2, Persercution Smith and so on and would play at places like The Hideout, Grande Ballroom, Crows Nest. My 1st and only introduction to actually meeting Mr. Segar himself, I was walking in the Crows Nest and he invited me into his Van, there was another guy there and was asked if I would care to smoke a joint with them. I did not even like Pot but what the hell? These places where bands like Segar, Alice Cooper, SRC (disliked), was for under 21, Ted Nugent (Can't. still can't stand) just pop but had a black room, dance floor, tables, it was a really cool place. I'm 68 now but still think it was cool. My claim to Fame sitting in a van w/Bob Segar and smoking a joint. I will remember that as along as I can. Mr. Segar, not a chance. Thanks if you took your time out and read this.
l agree with you, indeed Bob Seger is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
I was finally able to see Bob Seger in concert a few years ago. It was one of the very best concerts I've ever witnessed and this was from the 4th level and near the back row. This man has more energy and more Rock-N-Roll soul than a dozen of his contemporaries rolled into one. I felt like I was in the front row and felt that he was performing just for me. Amazing concert and a cherished memory for sure.
I have ridden a motorcycle since I was fifteen years old. I am sixty-eight now. I have had many enjoyable rides on bikes I have owned. This song epitomizes the freedom motorcycles give you. I have always said riding a bike is the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground. Bob Seger is THE MAN. A great song.
I use to live by him my bf worked at what was Farmer Jacks he would shop there n fans would go up n bother him she had to intervene but said he was very nice...true story. 👍🏻
Love this! Love all Bob Seger!! Have been rocking to you since 1973, I was 14 or 15. Saw you in 1978 in Memphis, saw you again in 2018 in Memphis for your farewell tour. I'll listen to my last breath!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have never understood how this song can have even a single dislike. It rocks from start to finish. Perfect.
It seems that there are people who would be angry with you if you offered to buy them an ice cream cone. I don't know why, they are out there.
You can buy me one anytime....

Also, now I know why drummer Kenny Aranoff is referred to as the God of Thunder. He is amazing...and the piano player is pretty awesome too.
He was John Mellancamp's drummer in the early days. Thought I recognized his name.
Kenny Aranoff is one of the best drummers ever.
He's killing it in this song, he carries the song with his on point drumming.
black and loving it, good music has no barriers. It speaks to the heart, mind and soul. GOD Bless you Bob Seger!!!!!!

@officialbobseger39 come out of RI retirement.
I used to drive 1000 miles to see my son in Prison. All the time listening to Bob Seger.
I remember this song when I first heard it, it lifted my soul then, and now I am in my 70s. I still ride my 2 wheeler and listen to the music of one of the greatest story teller ever to grace this earth. I hope his music last way after my last ride on my bike.
You are so cool
amen my fellow biker brother.
carolinaphil It will . Class always does.
carolinaphil , my dad is 75, still rides a 2 wheeler! he never listened to rock. Ever. I played this for him a few mpnthscago. Before a ride. He closed his eyes, and for the first time ever, I saw tears. He looked at me and said change of plans. instead of a 30 mile ride for lunch, we logged 380+ miles!
Rene Davila your dad had what i like to call a musical spiritual awakening
475 people have no taste in music. This song continues to kick ass! Thank you Bob Seger for making timeless music.

Hello TINA-ANGEL,
how're you doing,
Your comment caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you.
Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you!❤️
The Larry bird of music. Criminally underrated and scary talented.
This is one of the most memorable kick ass songs in my life's history. I'm 49. Wow. Loved this song in high school. Bob propelled me spiritually. Great artist.
Ditto. :)
Yep, this was a fantastic song! Seger was the first concert I ever went to all those years ago, and has always been a fave to this day...
Stephen Deac the song came out in 98. if you're 49 you weren't in high high school .
Sorry, this came out in '83
Stephen Deac sorry it came out in 98.
+Kate Bishop Well said.
Nothing wrong with big screens when you pay $250 for a ticket.
I just saw him LIVE Saturday....... I STILL HAVE Goose bumps.
I said the SAME THING.
He is a littler grayer, but HE STILL OMG amazing..
I have to say HIS FANS are some INCREDIBLE PEOPLE.

You know of what you speak.
Bob Seger is the greatest singer/songwriter of all time and his music is timeless and I will never get tired of listening to his great music
The fact that most of his band and tour roadies are still employed by him after all these years speaks volumes
One of the best voices on the planet.

That’s why he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004! He is the best. I, too, requested Roll Me Away for my funeral. Please Bob 1 more tour.
hope at 11 on volume.
Sweet idea! I'm 75 and in great health right now but it's time to start some planning. I'm going to make a video with MC pictures and that song as the theme.
Bob Seger was Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Too along with the Song writers Hall of Fame!
It’s on my list also. Along with turn the page…….next time….we will get it right!
I could listen to this all day... never gets old
Yeah!
NO it does not...saw him in LA a week ago...and it was outstanding
ONE OF BOB'S BEST...........CLASSIC SONG!!!!
That thunderous beat by Arnoff is fantastic. It drives the adrenaline through the rest of the band.
Definitely
Who the Hells Arnoff ! Segers Silver bullet band never had A drummer named Arnoff !
@@jerryparks6123 Kenny Aronoff ... Has toured with Bob Seger multiple times. He is the drummer in this video.
Aronoff was John Mellencamp’s touring drummer for years
Kenny Aronoff is the G. O. A. T

One of the best live performers
A great songwriter and performer
I saw Bob do this twice. In his show he had a young lady on 2 large drums, and when he sings "next time we will get right" that young hit those drums so hard, her feet leave the ground. It was unreal! What a song!
1981. 16 years old. Need I say more. 👍👍👍👌👌👌✌️✌️✌️
Bob is still bad ass and down to earth.

Oh how I wish I saw him in concert. It sure would have been the best ever!
Bob Seger put on one of the best live shows out there. Not a whole lot of flashy graphic stuff in the background, just good pure music and he really engaged with the audience. Glad I got to see him in his (our) younger days. If I danced now the way I did then, I'd probably slip a disc or something.
I'm 72 and I still dance to Bob's music .

Never seen Bob live in Australia but wish many times, I could've. Bob always sounds brilliant.
I’m 58 and just love this man’s music and this song is just amazing how it pulls the emotions to the surface along with that big lump in the throat!
Went to his final show in Charleston south Caroline I was 70 years old. What a ride. He was the best! I grew up with best music in AMERICA and I loved them all but The silver bullet was the best. Thanks for the beautiful ride.

Doesn't get any better than this-Thank GOD I have lived during when this music was new and even more amazing.
comcham1 don’t forget “The Famous Final Scene” and “Til It Shines.” Just an incredible songwriter and performer.
Well said. I will elaborate and say i agree totttally dude.
I love the Piano in this. Simple chords but beautiful.
Craig Frost on the keys, still to this day....
Great keyboard in a lot of Seger songs, Against the Wind comes to mind
No words. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

I have ridden a motorcycle since
I was fifteen years old. I am sixty-eight now. I have had many enjoyable rides on bikes I have owned. This song epitomizes the freedom motorcycles give you. I have always said riding a bike is the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground. Bob Seger is THE MAN. A great song.
