An officer who has made a deep impact to achieve peace and stability in Pakistan; a country that we all deeply madly love. A very informative interview with anecdotes that rings bells for public to know how much work went in to combat terrorism in Pakistan for decades since 1990s
It was a great episode. Things are much more complex than we think.
The Nation distinctly remembers Mr Tariq Parvez when during his probably last year tenure at FIA laid hands on Business Tycon, the KHANANI & KALIA, the Motiwalas and arrested them despite tremendous pressure but did not compromise. Resultantly the dollar price reduced substantially to benefit economy. To recall KHANANI & KALIA was involved in transfer of foreign currency through HUNDI to Oversea accounts. A great service rendered to the Nation.
Excellent narration of events concerning terrorism, human smuggling and NACTA. Problems and way forward has been described eloquently. You must pen these things in the shape of a book. The serving officers must listen to this clip and draw inspiration. 👍👏🤲
What a great episode. It reminds us what a long way we have come in terms of national security with the efforts ajd hardwork of such officers. Hearing accounts of these incidents first hand from someone who was so deeply involved in things we feared to talk to about or observed from our TV screens is so surreal. Such a competent personality he really opted for reforms and ultimately he had to quit. This is what happening all across the country useful input of talented people is ignored they either quit or leave the country to serve other part of the world.

Sadly the PPP government was such a failure that all the inertia of development in 00s was reversed by the Zardari regime. Unfortunately, the are still ruling a major province.
How Rehman Malik undermined NACTA but he could not have done it so without implicit support from Zardari, the chief ruffian and strategist.

That's great, Pakistan came out from high risk to low risk but nothing has changed till now. When SHO Chaudhry Aslam was murdered unfortunately, DAWN had reported that his funeral will be taken out from his Defense society Kr. house. Later DAWN has assessed cost of his property, it was of billions.
