I assume the counter flooding DC activity is at the Survival At Sea School at JBRF. Some of the best fun you can have without beer especially if you have just got roasted fighting fires. On the serious hand, what you learn there has you moving and thinking seriously fast if you get the main event. And survival is also a darn fine way to bring everyone closer together. Not many civilian jobs have that or can even comprehend it. That's why we were the Pride of the Fleet, literally could stand the heat.
0.18 Ha Ha Ha Noddy Urquhart. FC 2.18 Cleggy was on JB with him. 6.00 SQS56. Notice one good thing no sheilas. The worst thing to ever happen. My time was from 1975-1995, and I was a UC in 81, I was in a patrol boat in Cairns Barbette. I was on Adelaide 84-87 Gulf 90 Darwin POUC. The greatest life one could ever dream of.
ffs you effing dinosaur. You forget, without women at sea we wouldn't have 1/2 the fleet at sea. They couldn't and can't recruit enough people. Best thing the Navy did was to modernise the fleet and to get misogynistic dicks to discharge. I remember my ex joined a FFG Chiefs mess and the Mess Pres was whinging that they had to change the toilet doors to reach the floor. This was the type of petty bs that was going on.
As RPs, we loved getting the greenies out of their rack in in the middle of the night! On Stuart we shared 3P mess with them, but they weren’t watchkeepers…
Time Stamp 7:06. Is that AB Hugh Markcrow (to the left) who died on HMAS/M Otama on 03 August 1987? RIP...
4:40 pack of Winnies! 😂
They were 2.50 a pack on Tubby in 2002.
50 cents a pack on Stalwart in 83
H was for Marine Technical Hull not hydraulics

Been there and done that and even got the Tshirts and medals 🏅 @ NAVY VETERAN!
@@JoanneVieweg Roger that. Yup, t-shirts (a couple), medals, ball caps, cruise book and port; about it really apart from the memories.

I was on there too, for the full speed run, sharp turn to starboard, fire the Seacat - awesome stuff
Sharp turn to Starboard followed by "Hands to dinner."
One of the best I've seen. Was that Steve Bisley or Jack Thompson doing the narrating?
Tony Barry.
And how did they get the greenies out of their rack for this?
Hahaha .. what greenies were they?
