Fresh Ground has been my inspiration doing trail magic this year. Homemade cookies and milk (and coffee) were a big hit on a chilly day, root beer floats during the recent heat wave brought so much joy. And really, I have a hard time deciding if it's the hikers or me that get the most joy when I'm out there. Thank you for sharing the Leapfrog Cafe story here.
Two great guys - I am telling you that Fresh Ground's arrival was perfectly timed to coincide with The God Squad Bible Camp Ban news. Of course Fresh Ground wouldn't limit the Leapfrog Cafe to Thru Hikers - all are welcome - you could see that it never occurred to him to insist on eligibility because hikers are hikers and people are people. So many parallels to be drawn here. A true friend for life for Team Crawford.
When I first started thinking about section hiking the AT I wondered just what kind of people would be out there thru hiking, living in the woods, not bathing for days and eating Ramen noodles with instant mashed potatoes. But once I started watching videos I quickly learned what incredible people were out there and Fresh Ground leads the pack. I was fortunate enough to get to meet him when he passed through my town and it was incredible listening to him and his love of all mankind. Thanks Ben for your interview and for helping raise awareness of FG and how others can contribute to his Cafe. I cannot wait to read your book and wish you success with it.

Had so much fun with Freshground this year at the James River Foot bridge feeding hikers. It was a blessing to me to see the joy on their faces. Freshground is for real, a humble man who just is obeying his calling, and spreading love and joy, and I know he is getting blessed in return. They loved those brownies! And his nacho creation!!
If only the folks at the camp in Washington State had the same outlook towards people as Fresh Ground does, there would be waffles being served..........

FG is a Trail Saint. I learned a lot about TM from him and provide for hikers needs a few days a year. Bringing a few charging bricks also helps as half of my guest needed a charge.

Ok. My first comment was before I had finished the video. My husband's favorite trail magic on his thru hike was a cheese sandwich when he was at Stecohoa Gap. It was a hard day for him and those two pieces of white bread and slice of American cheese was like heaven. I first heard about Fresh Ground from ER. I loved what he did for the early hikers and I totally understand what he does and why. It makes sense to me. We've done it. Not on the scale that Fresh Ground does it, but we get him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
First thing. Love fresh ground and what he is doing for hikers. Second thing is rather random but I think you should consider moving the stacked wood away from your house, especially if you have wood house. I cannot tell if house is mostly brick or wood? Can Google the reasons. Termites is one.

Love Fresh Grounds from what I've seen over the last two years. Seems like a great man. A little curious as to why he leap frogs with the faster early group and doesn't stay longer in one area to bless a larger number of people. I heard what he said but isn't that helping a very limited number of hikers over and over and over while hundreds behind that specific bubble don't get any blessing
I know you were really disappointed about not being able to go to the bible camp... But maybe God has bigger plans for you guys... In maybe the hiking community over some of the summer, maybe perhaps 😁
