That Medusa is textbook bad player meets good god. Not very confident, ults because he’s scared or completely misreads the situations, drops relics because he’s scared, just plays poorly all around, but he’s on a strong god so he’s fine. Can’t build for shit, but doesn’t matter cause he knows how to build crit. What a lovely game.
Honestly, I feel like the first duel banlist was by far the best one, after that, it went downhill. And it's funny because the first banlist was the closest to what you suggested to them, so that says something.
rotating gods every now and again is fine but yeah some gods should really just not be allowed in duel

@@FameMercury I've met some interesting creatures in that game so I'm not surprised by anything at that point 💀 Also it's kinda wild how you can pick one of those characters, go a weird trash build with jotunn's and still win against one of the best duel players.

@@FameMercury yeah plus you could see he's unsure in his actions, therefore, worried. He was using all his relics when sam even came close to him and would ult for no reason, yet he won.

I’m on the 67 letter squad from here on out. Never heard that but that’s hilarious.
Something I always thought would be fun is having a random ban pool that changes every game or every day, just a smaller amount of time. There will always be a best character no matter whos banned but that way at least it will change up every game and stay fresh, there will be thought behind bans and matchups and it rewards being good at multiple characters
sam has been a salty boi recently, first the skadi game and then the rant in game 1. Love you sam, love the content. Just a little schadenfreude on my end

I pray to all that is holy that they do something to crit as a concept in Smite 2. I absolutely despise seeing a hunter build 2-3 items and off the rip im getting blown up with stupid high damage autos. That's one of my biggest pain points
I feel your frustration with this Smite 1 into 2. You can quite literally feel in game that its been put on the back burner in the worst way possible. All these changes SCREAM "fuck balance, smite 2 exists now"

Trust me Sam, I feel your pain. I’ve been maining Overwatch for a while now and the same thing happened to it when they went to OW2. It just makes me so sad to see it die :(
I completely agree with you, I try play gods just because they’re fun and fresh and it’s every game I’m getting, Horus, Medusa, Osiris, Gilga, Bellona and a few others and it’s like no way you enjoy playing the same broken god every game and still LOSING
It sucks that the community and HiRez have moved onto Smite 2 creatively and productively. Word from all my favorite creators has been that the games just aren't fun at all levels because Smite just rots with OP metas now. Hell I haven't picked up the game since Smite 2 announced. Hard to hear Sam getting frustrated like this, but I don't blame him when he has to play Smite day in and day out and watch it rot from the inside out.
Ill ride or die with Sam though and keep watching cause the homie puts in the work and is always fun to watch even in stale ass metas. Sexy Samalander Squad for life

I feel you sam, yeah they said on videos on youtube, smite will keep receiving updates but we all know that soon enough smite will die quick since smite 2 will be better in any way, and imo is bad that all t5 arent crossover, they should be since they were very expensive
Its a ranked mode, people aren't as good as you and they want to play to their best potential. Can't blame them
duel is my favorite thing about Smite and I am not going to play it until the bans are changed. There are way too many broken gods available even after banning 12 of them audits are just not fun to play or play against. I tried for the first coupe of days but it is just braindead gaming and unfun ive been so invested I have hit masters for the first time and ever since they started to do the permanent bans because it made me want to play it was fun but now I just fight the same three as you said but when I ban them it opens up 7 more busted gods that I simply couldn't ban .

I seem to remember people saying the beta had unranked duel at some point. Exact same complaints there as this current meta - everyone would play the strongest gods, like Freya, and it was a shitshow. So they locked it behind ranked and gave people bans.

If you're gonna be upset when you play, then I'd rather not see the game at all, or at least have a warning. I'm here for the happy vibes or the reminder that smite is fun. I'm just expressing my opinion since that's what Sam has always said he's wanted for his videos (happiness and fun). I know you used to be pessimistic and angry, but if this keeps going, I'll be done with being part of the Salamander squad.
