I'm a bit on the fence with this song. I kinda like it, but something about the use of the word buffoon turns me off. That word is better used in a sit-com. Maybe I'll have to listen to it a couple of more times.

What happened to this band? They started off brilliant with their first album back in 2014 but they got all garbage now.
The departure of Dorian Sorriaux, the original guitarist. After he left this band became something else.

I completely understand these comments,and have been listening to this band for quite some time now. They have in fact changed a little bit...not saying bad att all. An argument can be made that the band has become more of a vehicle for the singer,and I subscribe to that theory a little bit. However,the core sound is still here,maybe not as pronounced but still here. Earlier songs had a different feel,but you can't argue the vocals are what makes this special. I will still listen regardless for sure
I see a lot of people that didn't even hear the music and already "love it". "They are evolving" they said.... They are just trying to be commercial, more of the same. Everyone that liked the 1st album miss that style, but the truth is that the money talks and from these days, it's just generic sounds with no soul and will not be remembered.

Why?
Dorian left the band years ago and from 'Holly Molly' you can see how the music fell apart. Repetitive, basic, predictable, even monotonous rhythms, in addition to the fact that the band became the platform for the vocalist to put her personal life (Proud woman, Birthday, etc.). It stopped being a band and became Elin's solitary project.
100% agree with you. Dorian was exceptional. Never hear another song like Little Sun or Ain't No Change again with him no there. Still love the band though 🤘🏻💚

I mean dorian was apart of the lady in gold album, and that is in noway a heavy album, there is heavier songs on holy moly and birthday.
