why are people so rude??? the tips and tricks you provide are a suggestion for naturally curly hair. you recommend protein treatments to bring curls back to life if it's needed... if you, as an individual don't want to do a protein treatment, then don't do it. I don't understand why people feel the need to be negative or throw shade with the comments or feed back. do what's best for your hair and do your own research and if you don't like the suggestion or recommendation then keep it moving sis. thanks for posting :-)

Gonna start doing more protein treatments but will focus more on my front and crown. Maybe put less protein in the back 🤷🏾‍♀️

I was listening to Felicia Leatherwood and she stated that in addition to moisture overload, you may need a protein treatment if you are experiencing a lot of shedding. Also, I tried a new protein treatment by creme of nature, part of their aloe and black castor oil line. The bomb!! It works like aphogee, but with a much better smell.

YESSSS! This video is needed. not many hair bloggers on here emphasize the importance of having a balanced regimen of alternating protein and balance! I see a lot of comments about waiting til hair is broken. Please don’t wait. I use deep conditioning products with protein to keep my colored, high porosity hair strong. I also use the aphogee green tea reconstruction with my leavin as regularly as I can. That two step though, it’s the business. I don’t like the conditioner it comes with though lol.

    great video.
i stay with Aphogee 2-step protein treatment on my shelf. depending on what my hair is doing, i use it up to 3 times a year. that 16oz bottle lasts forever.
i don't like the balancing conditioner, so after that (cuz i still use it, per the directions), i follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner.
    stay safe

If I don’t have a dryer or blow dryer can I air dry in the sun for about half hour? Will it give it the same effect? If you don’t know you need it don’t do it seek a professional stylist to help you determine that don’t just put anything in your hair

I feel like it depends on your porosity. I personally have low porosity hair. When my hair has too much protein it gets straw dry, and starts breaking off. So I would just wait until you see signs.

Do a protein treatment every six weeks if your hair doesn't have any heat damage, or is not color treated. If you apply heat on your hair constantly, or you have color treated hair, than you do one every two weeks. Otherwise, just pay attention to what your hair needs.

estherooo girl same😂 I just use a deep conditioner that ik contains proteins every 4th washday or so, like a hair mayonnaise or I like vo5 collagen conditioner. That way don’t over do it

Great video, I’m a bit scurrred since I too am low-po and the same usually do mine with deep conditioner s but my hair doesn’t feel weak but I’ve never done THIS! I wonder, if doing a bentonite with a egg be equivalent🤔? Your hair looked good afterwards and Yes, the front be on something totally different

I’m really uneducated with hair stuff and I wanna get my natural hair back, what’s the difference between the keratin treatment and a protein treatment?

  • @nadiaray2104

Should I do a protein treatment if my front hair is a looser texture but it’s straight and the rest is tight curls and I know it can’t be at It’s natural curl pattern but I don’t have heat damage or nothing like that it’s just regular damage or something?

  • @salmahafsa2266

Okay so like, EVERYTIME I do my hair, I get this little broken pieces of hair. That would probably be a sign of protein deficiency right? (P.S, I’ve never done a protein treatment because I’m low porosity, and was scared off by people 😅). Also, after the Aphogee 2 step, would it be wise to follow up with your regular deep conditioner? Or just go about styling hair?

Hi kim.. my hair is too soft for weeks now. Is it ok to do protein treatment weekly or twice a week until it returns to normal? We dont have much option for conditioner with protein in the Philippines. Thanks

I tried implementing a deep conditioner with protein (Mielle) once a month. It made my hair start to feel hard so maybe I shouldn’t do it as much?

    • @kaylaj.3743

Some hair is very sensitive to protein. Also look at your other products and see if they have protein elements as well.
