Already squeaking a few months after the rebuild.
    Hypothetical...
    1. Put shackle/leaf spring bolt in the lathe. This might be a good time to go to grade 8.
    2. Drill a 1mm hole through the head, about 35mm deep into the shaft.
    3. Drill a larger but shallow hole in the head, just deep enough to run a tap for a grease fitting. Tap it.
    4. Remove the bolt and drill a 1mm hole perpendicular the the shaft, just short of the end of the 35mm "tunnel".
    5. Blow out all shavings and screw the grease fitting into the bolt head.
    6. Drill a 2-3 mm hole in the side of the bushing, matched to the approximate depth of the side hole in the bolt.
    7. Chamfer the hole at the outer surface of the bushing, to aid grease dispersion and reduce the possibility of chafing the rubber bushing.
    8. Repeat 5 more times.
Grease the fittings once a year or whenever you hear squeaking.

You can replace the bolts you have with greasable leaf spring bolts or make your own greasable bolt by drilling them and tapping threads for a zerk.

Another tip here... SuperPro makes bushings which are knurled on the inside so that when packed with grease, the grease stays there for years longer than standard bushings. ;)

Hey guys, those of you that's in this heat, and do not have air conditioning. Get some water bottles and freeze them, if you put salt in them they will stay frozen longer. And put them behind a fan in a pan or dish to catch the condensation as the ice malts this will help to cool the room you are in! This is what we did back before there was air conditioning .

I'm having the same squeaking problem with my front sway bar, I forgot to grease the new bushings during my rebuild, going to shoot some WD 40 on each side of the bushing and see if that helps, I hear ya on the heat, here in CT. we are in the 90's, with the humidity it feels like 101 degrees. I have a Friend who just moved up to Rainier Oregon about 3 yrs ago, bet he wishes he was back in Hampton Bays Long Island lol. Great work as always Austin, looking forward to the rest of the build.
