This city needs more parks, lakes and greenery and not more housing. Save the city

It's grown very large without any form of planning especially cause of real estate mafia and corrupt officials. They could have saved the lakes and tress and still developed Bengaluru.

Once upon a time Bangalore is known as the garden city with full of trees surrounding the city...Now Bangalore has developed in such a way that we couldnot find more trees and greeneries in Bangalore...I live in chennai but studied in bangalore. But when u look at the climate bangalore is off no difference from chennai as both cities are hot now a days... the only difference is in chennai its hot and humid but not humid in bangalore althought its hot weather...

Well..Stop influx of population from the North. Set a population limit. Resources are finite and cater to limited needs. The govt has a choice to cap n prevent people from settling down here. There are no ground rules. The local governing bodies and panchayats are people responsible to ensure lands are protected. But if people sell their agricultural land or ancestral land for earning a million dollars from real estate then face the consequences. Unfortunately people dont realize they lose their identity and self respect once the land is gone.

@@quark31 its nothing to do with people from North. For your information, It's the south indian gowdas that are largely responsible for rampant corruption, denotification of fertile land and covering up 500 lakes illegally with builders. If you cover up hundreds of lakes and cut trees out of greed for money, does it matter if the workforce is coming from north, south, east or west? Do you forget Devegowda who is a billionaire land owner? Or Dk Shivakumar, who is known to be as corrupt as sharad pawar. Or maybe you want to still blame the British? Look at your own politicians.

China shouldn't be our role model.
      Why?
I believe my freedom and liberty is more important. In China there are no such values. If they want to do a project on the land where people are already living, then they just kick them out.
So would u like to be kicked out if Indian government want to do a project?

Man, many Indians disagree with u. We all know how China is secretive, and curtail human freedom. I live in Australia and there are many Chinese here. I regularly interact with them. They don't like China, hence the get their wealth out of China.
1 million uighur Muslims are kept in captivity and no one can talk shit about it. Imagine if 1 million Muslims are captured in India, many people can raise voice against it.
Democracy is a slow process. Communism is a failed a failed ideology. Not to mention China's economic imperialism in one belt one road, India was smart not to get into it.
