Certainly, with Ooze deployed, the mage would stand at 8 HP the worgen's turn or 5 HP after Leper Gnome's death and trade with anything including the Cruel Taskmaster that proved fatal. He would have resumed board control with a buffed 4/5 W.Elemental and brings Artosis to 6 HP. Kripparian could not have known the charge+rage thats cooking but he did waste Mirror Image on turn 2, instead of keeping it for emergency.
Well, krip did not "gamble" with ragnaros fire to kill the minion, instead he attacked it and got to 1 life instead of 4 (if he had attacked the hero) so he lost...
Lytalm55 If he left the minion alive he could have had a blessing of kings and killed him if rag missed. He basically reduced the number of cards that would give artosis lethal so it was the right play.
Kripparian could have won if he had play Ooze in turn 8. It would break artosis weapon and even if artosis dived into him like he did, krip would have 8 hp, in the next turn he could control the board sacrificing ooze, just to leave artosis with the 2/2 minion, so... even with the reaper + minion artosis couldn't finish krip nor control the board, so krip would won next turn. He tried to use ooze better than that, maybe to get a reaper or gore. But of course i don't know what he was thinking...
Agreed. Artosis hp was at 14. If Kripp dropped that Ooze at turn 8, he could attack for 6 (3 from water elemental, 3 from ooze, if both of them survived), and pyroblast for 10, a total of 16... GG... =D
In game 1, Artosis nearly punted away the first game. In addition to what he did, he should have also played out the spellbreaker without debuffing Ragnaros. Not including topdecks, it would have given him another lethal minion. He would have won that game on a 50% flip that ragnaros hits his hero and not his minion. Also if he taunts up the 4/3 (to a 5/4) and spellbreaker (to 5/4 also) then it doesn't give kripp a target for attacking with his truesilver champion (he has 6 power on board to sacrifice). Artosis made a huge misplay and didn't get punished because he drew consecration.
...and the Leper Gnome's notoriety (and card ranking) grew three sizes that day, from normal to ultra that little card grew, all thanks to Blizzard, and Artosis, too! Soon it was added to every deck (it still wasn't THAT good, but we gave it respect.) And then, at the next tourney, the finishing damage came from a wisp. Well, that would be funny. (sigh) If only ANY OTHER CARD didn't burn it to a crisp. Waddya think? I switched the format of my little ode for every line. You may either deem it to be art, or a small, crappy poem I spent maybe 30 seconds making. 'Cause I know that one of those options is most certainly correct. (Hint: It isn't the good option.)
Is it just me or most of these games were decided by one player having a terrible starting hand, having nothing to play for most of the early game? Still, fun, gg.
They were saying Kripp needed 11 mana to win the game. He only needed one. Pyro + Elemental = 13. Artosis was at 13 health + 1 armor. If he had the extra mana for hero power it was over.
The turn Kripp did not play the ooze was a mistake, he had the chance to get rid of the weapon and in the late game the gorehowel was not an issue against the water elemental. I know I got to see both sides of the game but I would have for sure played the ooze.
it's really not, most of the complicated cards are only obtainable from card packs, so by the time you get most of them you would have decent knowledge of how it works :)
59:25 Kripp sits on 2 mana instead of playing ooze, essentially guaranteeing the win. What a blunder. Was he waiting for gorehowl or arcanite reaper? Totally made no sense.
I would like some opinions on these: 1st game, last turn, theoretically Kir chould have hit the enemy hero with his weapon to heal to 4 HP and hope that Ragnaros kills the 3/3. On the last game, Kir sat on 2 mana and had his Swamp Ooze handy, but he saved it for a different weapon. However, that cost him 3 HP and the game. Am I missing anything? If so, what is it?
on turn 6, artosis could have played the raging worgen, used inner rage on it, following that up with the cruel taskmaster used on the same worgen. this would have left him with an 8/1 worgen with windfury, dealing 16 damage plus 5 from his weapon putting kripp at 1 hp, at which point kripp would be in checkmate next turn, since he had no way of stopping the fiery war axe's 3 damage. would have been a huge play.
Kripp messed up. He should have played his acidic swamp ooze when Artosis still had one swing left on his fiery war axe which would have kept him alive for one more turn.
i honestly didnt know krip was that good in hearthstone I thought it was just another stream to talk about but good job I like krip and athene ..artosis left sc2 looks like
Well this was commentary over a game in beta that people are still very much learning, there isn't any set commentary style that prevents the castors from talking over each other as of yet. Things will probably be far more professional next time.
Artosis failed alot at the last match, he could have used Auchenai soul priest and get rid of the sorcerers aprrentice, then shut down the pyroplast kripp was gonna use...
I hate how Artosis got lucky on his first and final match. Sure it's Kripp fault for not playing the ooze on the final match, but I still consider it as luck.
golden era of HS, those were the good days
game #1 9:10 game #2 24:10 game #3 33:05 game #4 44:10 game#5 53:30
That very last match, that was a spectacular ending.
thanks for the upload
Aw the race car driver won :(
This is so intense! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time!
Thanks for posting this video... great tos ee the games in sequence
The good days..
Bummer, losing the final match because he kept the ooze in his hand instead of playing it.

I was so confused by the skype notifications until I realized the person taping the video's skype was on, lol
Artosis top decking a consecration right there.. Wow.
Ty 4 upload
That draw saved him in the paladin deck. Beautiful match.
Well, krip did not "gamble" with ragnaros fire to kill the minion, instead he attacked it and got to 1 life instead of 4 (if he had attacked the hero) so he lost...
Dwayne Schick Ragnaros had 50% chance to hit the minion and kill it, that would have put krip to 4 health and he would have won next turn!
Lytalm55 If he left the minion alive he could have had a blessing of kings and killed him if rag missed. He basically reduced the number of cards that would give artosis lethal so it was the right play.
TotalBiscuit :D This explains his in-depth Hearthstone commentaries when he's playing
Artosis has been lucky with topdecking on last game..
Kripparian could have won if he had play Ooze in turn 8.
It would break artosis weapon and even if artosis dived into him like he did, krip would have 8 hp, in the next turn he could control the board sacrificing ooze, just to leave artosis with the 2/2 minion, so... even with the reaper + minion artosis couldn't finish krip nor control the board, so krip would won next turn.

hindsight is 20/20
***** It wasn't. I was like "Okay, if he plays that he wins. GG kripp. Haha. What a game... Wait. WHAT?! WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING!? WHY!!!!!???"
mage deck with ooze? LOL
well played Kripp. You'll get that bastard next time.
kripp went out like a boss, great games! :D
In game 1, Artosis nearly punted away the first game. In addition to what he did, he should have also played out the spellbreaker without debuffing Ragnaros. Artosis made a huge misplay and didn't get punished because he drew consecration.
Kripp also misplayed not playing down his 3/2 Ooze on the second last turn of the game. It was an obvious play and he didn't do it.
The commentary was fine. It was interesting.
That top deck consecrate. In such a high profile tourney. Dammn that hurt.
If Kripps drop the Ooze he could have won>_
Every game artosis has so much luck...every single game
Heart of the cards @ 21:26.
...and the Leper Gnome's notoriety (and card ranking) grew three sizes that day,
from normal to ultra that little card grew, all thanks to Blizzard, and Artosis, too!

It's like that most of the time in hearthstone ^^
Weak game
***** correction, "any card game that has a mana mechanic"
Ronald Bryan Domingo so yeah, "any good card game"
@@namelessliberty9869 Stalker. :O There better be a documentary of this.
Kripp should have played the ooze before the rush.
Why did he not play the swamp ooze?
No idea. Seemed really dumb not to. 59:18 is the timestamp in case you didn't remember after 10 years :)
@@Ineedanaccountnow0 haha good times i think kripp did explain that it was a mistake after on stream
Dear god, that Artosis' Priest deck!
Kripparrian is a fuckn giant ;D nice matches from both players..
This is a lot more entertaining if you turn the sound off and watch.
Artosis. Master of the topdeck.
They were saying Kripp needed 11 mana to win the game. He only needed one. Pyro + Elemental = 13. Artosis was at 13 health + 1 armor. If he had the extra mana for hero power it was over.
well if krip instead of hero power played ooze he would destroy artosis weapon and set up lethal next turn with pyro
That was an awesome game for Finals!

watch the last game at 59:25 kripp would have won the last game game if he drop the 3/2 ooze when he had 2 mana left for it..
Wow i have not recognised TB..
He used to have hair
@royan rosche to help you understand the actions on the table...and it makes this event more official
hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to not the first round of comentary wars today the match up will be Kevin Knocke vs John "total biscuit" Bain
Holy shit, Kripp's real name is Octavian?!? How have I not heard that before??
WOW! final match was very close! I mean... If kripparrian had just one more mana, he can finish the opponent!
well if krip instead of hero power played ooze he would destroy artosis weapon and set up lethal next turn with pyro
This game looks overwhelming for a beginner
it's really not, most of the complicated cards are only obtainable from card packs, so by the time you get most of them you would have decent knowledge of how it works :)
it's not
this game has little to no learning curve. hope you've picked it up by now :D
You have to remember that these are pros. The best of the best.
this was wicked fun ti watch! i love art!
59:25 Kripp sits on 2 mana instead of playing ooze, essentially guaranteeing the win. What a blunder. Was he waiting for gorehowl or arcanite reaper? Totally made no sense.
Kripp just suicides at the end. He wouldn't give his opponent the pleasure of wrecking him haha.
Where can i see future Tournments of heartstone like this?
I would like some opinions on these:
1st game, last turn, theoretically Kir chould have hit the enemy hero with his weapon to heal to 4 HP and hope that Ragnaros kills the 3/3.
On the last game, Kir sat on 2 mana and had his Swamp Ooze handy, but he saved it for a different weapon. However, that cost him 3 HP and the game.

The charge combo was ridiculously insane. Happy it got nerfed.
Kripp messed up. He should have played his acidic swamp ooze when Artosis still had one swing left on his fiery war axe which would have kept him alive for one more turn.
It's funny, Artosis played well at the start, his deck still had a lot of spells, the chances of him drawing what he needed waas high.
krip shouldve went face for the first round and hoped rag to hit the defender
+ycafe123 It was a misplay, a greedy one because if there was no consecrate he would probably win on next turn
The skype on here trolls me
you know it is a casual game when you can predict every single fucking player turn.
I am no hater, I love Hearthstone, but it is just funny ^^
Holy shit, were am I?
that...was...AWESOME!
This game is STILL in Closed Beta...
Unlocked 4 hours ago :3
If he had played that Ooze in the last game... :(
HOLY NOVER!
Believe in the heart of the cards.
have you noticed the trollface?)
Great finals.
The dude on the right..is that totalbuscuit? Sounds so much like him, but I`ve never seen his face before
Who's the other guy commentating with TB?
Ofcourse he got trolled by getting a blizzard at the end. How ironic lol.
Blizzard trolls us all...
Anyone else checked skype on the start o.O ?
TotalBiscuit has such a awsome voice lols ^^
Yeah 21:35
"Ragnaros is thinking, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Lol
People can say that Artosis was lucky, but Kripp could have tried to play around consecration and divine wrath but he chose not to.
why no play ooze?
***** because he mb had another arcanite reaper/gorehowl on his deck
Every time the commentator says "Artosis" i hear it in Tasteless' voice
Who would have known that leper gnome will play a vital role in finishing blow LOL..
i honestly didnt know krip was that good in hearthstone I thought it was just another stream to talk about but good job I like krip and athene ..artosis left sc2 looks like
52:32 TROLL IN THE BACKGROUND!
Lmao, I just noticed. If Kripp had played the ooze, he would have had more hp and probably had a good chance to win. That one move screwed him.
Total biscuit?
kripp would of won if he had played the ooze with his free mana on artosis' raging war axe
improve the quality next time
Well this was commentary over a game in beta that people are still very much learning, there isn't any set commentary style that prevents the castors from talking over each other as of yet. Things will probably be far more professional next time.
RemorseFree he's probably talking about the video quality. At least for me it didnt switch to 720/1080 even though I selected it
This was live streamed, I was the first person to upload this content.
So I was watching it, and streaming it myself.
Artosis is lucker as hell
kripp looks like a young ron jeremy at 23:56
Games 2/3 card drawl luck 1/3 strategy. It was always meant to just be a little fun-side action.
Mind Control used to be 8 mana. What!!
Artosis reminds me of the antagonist from Despicable Me (the first one).
miss when knife juggler was 3/2 lmao
Mind control nerfed because of Kripp?
why didn't artosis use equality on rag? OMG
Are the decks drafted in constructed or is it like Arena play?
Constructed
OCTAVIAN!
anyone notice the troll face on 52:18
Kripp such moustache, such cool
my cousin looks just like artosis lol.. And he is phenomenal att HS too xD
Artosis failed alot at the last match, he could have used Auchenai soul priest and get rid of the sorcerers aprrentice, then shut down the pyroplast kripp was gonna use...
Leper Gnome op
Artosis was the best in this tournament, I mean this warrior deck is just so powerful!
he crushed Trump easily with it
how come artosis was only level 13 pally after the first game? you'd think he practiced more with that deck...
Its offline game modes, not online. So its not their actual accounts with actual levels.
About 7:00 - 'he got the best priest deck in the tournament right now' it's the only priest deck.. Big deal
Dat lucker Artosis
why didn't artosis use his fluid minion to destroy kripp's axe?? by doing that he was going to win!! what is the point to hold it?
It's seem fun to play just look like yugiho
I hate how Artosis got lucky on his first and final match. Sure it's Kripp fault for not playing the ooze on the final match, but I still consider it as luck.
Soe kinda reminds me of Christopher Walken.
