Have you ever messed around with using a gamepad/controller to control the camera? I think I saw a video of someone doing it, maybe it was for FAF but I am pretty sure it was BAR. I feel like it might make spectating and narrating game replays more fun for you if you could smoothly zoom the camera around getting really cool shots (not that your camera work isn't smooth, its just the movement you can do with joysticks is way more organic feeling).

I like earth but I haven't been to any other planets so I can't really compare
