Without a doubt, along with the Audi Cuattro Group B, it is one of the best car sounds I have ever heard in my life. As some say, an orgasmic sound. Apart from this, I take my hat off to these drivers, how they drive these Porsches with only rear-wheel drive, they are masters.

Switching next purchase decision considerations from a Ferrari or Cobra, to a 911 series Porsche, but has been challenging to find any as growling sounds from the latter as the former!

Rally GT is one hell of a class addition to the Rally family. In Dirt rally 2.0 it's my favorite class even thou it requires some patience and coolhead to keep the porche on the road straight xD

Car numbers 14 and 15 sound slightly different to the other Porsche's; more aggressive. Do they have a slightly different engine setup (intake, exhaust, cams)?? Just curious.
Car 16 is an earlier 997 cup vs the other 3 cars. All are 997.1s, but car number 16 is an 06 chassis, with the early exhaust. It's slightly more restrictive than the later 997.1 cars.
Race cars are like that, it might have a specific diameter since it's an atmospheric engine and you need to make a certain pressure but it's still a straight pipe yeah
These are all GT3 Cups. The car at 0:25 in has the grand-am exhaust set up, removing the cats in the primaries and the center muffler. The other cars appear to have the standard cup system with 100cell race cats in the primaries.

Actually, my two elder brothers and me have been dreaming of seeing and hearing these 911 (especially 997) GT3 Rally cars live for quite some time now :) Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to do so in the past - but now, I see a chance for us and so I want to surprise them on Christmas with some tickets to visit one of these rallies! 🤩 However, I am having quite some trouble to find tickets for a rally event in 2023 with mainly 911 GT3's taking part (other cars are cool as well but we are BIG Porsche fans, so I am preferably looking for a rally with mostly 911 GT3's taking part). Do you have a special tip or recommendation for me where I can find such rally in Middle Europe (Belgium, France, Austria, etc.)? We are from Germany so that would be the shortest way for us. Thank you so much!!
Pretty sure none of these are turbo's,,, the older 996 3.6 L sound completely different than the 997 3.8 L, some of the 997's are probably 4.0 L, same thing...

You can really hear the difference between the turbocharged 911s and naturally aspirated ones, the latter sound so much more glorious...
