    as people mentioned, it is recommended to get one with a gpu since then you also get a riser cable. same goes for 2.5” hdd, comes with special caddy and i believe special SATA cable. but, even if you dont there should be a CRU (customer replace unit) list for the 360 ultra, and then you just goto lenovo’s website and find a place to order (usually a lenovo partner or directly from lenovo, depending on the place of residence). im also comsidering getting one since it is so damn small and since we are sporting a standup desk, it seems perfect. im also worried that lenovo isnt advertising this that much, just a few videos on youtube, no reviews or additional info on after market upgrades, e.g. GPUs (which fit, which dont). also lenovo offers beefier PSUs, from 130 up to 300 so theres that to think about. damn, it is so tiny (thats what she said). lol

    The i7 12700, nvidia T400 version is on sale in Canada for 1160$ CAD, great deal!

      I see it for 1,549.00 Cad now, still says 52% off. Was it cheaper before, or was that without the gpu?

      @@leadwhite1249 You need perkspolis to get down to that price. You could do a little search on redflagdeal to find out how it works

    Been researching this machine, thinking about using it for a VMware cluster. Do you know if you can disable the e-cores in the latest BIOS?

      After the latest update I didn't see that but I haven't been looking for it.

      @@SudoShowMy units arrived last week and the latest BIOS does support the ability to disable the E cores. One thing I'd like to note is that all four of my P360 Ultra units had terrible thermal contact between the processor and the heatsink. All four only had thermal contact with the bottom half of the processor. You could easily see this because the top half of the processor did not have thermal paste on it even though the heatsink had thermal paste for the top half, but was untouched by the processor. I had to reapply a thick amount of thermal paste to improve the core temps.

    Is the a2000 the same as the one that we can buy on the market?

    Hi, i am also interested in this device. Maybe you could say something about the noise it produces under load.
    Regarding the ram sticks: do you have one 64gb DIMM installed or 2x32GB? I wonder if it's 2x32 installed on one side. Because I believe it's one channel per side 🤔

    • @SudoShow
      @SudoShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      two 32 gig sticks. Came from the factory on one side. Noise wise is pretty quiet.

      The CPU fan quickly ramps up when under load, but it keeps the 12700 below 85°C during CPU-Z stress test. Be aware that: 1. That secondary pcie x8 slot is actually only 4x and 2. If you buy a unit without dedicated graphics, it is not equipped with the necessary riser to use that primary pcie x16 slot for any other card! Getting that spare part (SKU 5C51D95675) proves to be a pain in the butt... Also, my unit must have been assembled by someone who learned TIM application from the Verge: goop city all over the place! Anyway, it is a very nice slim unit that I eventually will equip with a 10GBE SFP+ card and a HBA to connect to external storage.

      @@robgee2713 thanks for sharing! It's a shame that the riser is not included.. I was actually considering to buy a unit without a GPU card and extend it somewhere in the future with Intels arc pro A40.
      I guess a 2,5" bay is also not included, if ordered without a HDD 😓

      @@kartikmahajan4405 I can't tell, because my unit has not arrived, yet. However, as @Robert Gee has written, you will need a riser cable to mount the GPU card. And you will only can do it if you ordered the unit with a CPU with a TDP not higher than 65W, since the higher "K"-suffixed CPU configurations come with a bigger heatsink , that occupies the place where the GPU card would be

    Removed optical drive, removed sd card reader, removed internal power supply, limited gpu upgradability even more, used 2.5gbe rather than 10gbe, removed 3 front USB type A ports, changed from desktop ram to laptop ram, and still no amd gpu support.
    Of course this thing is smaller, tons of features were removed. This isn't innovation, this is ruining one of the best small form factor desktop workstation line ups.
    I believe my P340 and P620 will be my last Lenovo products going forward.
