AWESOME Job on the DIY (they look nicer than the Original CUBE 😊 .. shhhhh !🤫 ). you can also build a pair of VOXATIV Speakers (they have a very similar style).. either one. you're saving a HUGE Money on doing it yourself, but also rewarding and fun project. you have some serious Talent... KUDOS 👍👍👍.
Very interesting, Well worth the effort, I have built a pair of transmission line cabinets back in the 80s , just recently I replaced the drivers, to SEAS 8” 150w 8hm , and a tweeter to Mach , I coupled it from a HiFi machine from a 70s , they are only made of MDF 1” , the line is about 15 foot, and fire out the bottom, just over 5 feet in height, 10 inches across x 14 inches deep, I listen too Heavy Metal, Classical Music, Blues music,
Great information which will help me start my project. Thank you. What would did you use? Why did you decide not to use MDF or plywood? Thanks again Brendan
Awesome work, Chaepau! Thus seems massive wood and your side walls are how thick? Overall weight of your speakers? How is your sound expression? Haave heard several Nenuphars and also sound good, voice outstanding, but lacking overall soundstage and very, very picky how you set them up in your room. Thanks a lot for sharing!
For now I’m like more the lii platinum but for some rock or dance is the sb acoustic. If you don’t wanna pay too much the best for price is mark audio.
HI, I notice that when you build your cabinets (beautiful BTW) you're using what looks to be 2" of solid wood? Then no sound treatment in the cabinet. How does it sound? Does the 45 degree joints w biscuits help in terms of resonance versus typical butt joints? Thx
Hi the thickness is 43mm if you cut in angel 45 degree you get like surface of 60mm so is stronger joint. About the sound I’m impressed how much of base the small drive produce. The treatment I will put later I need try many different options.
And you could save yourself a lot of time and money by using good quality ply wood. It is actually superior in audio terms. You then simply veneer to your taste.
What on earth IS this thing ? It looks like a quarter wave horn but it's not ... the mouth of the horn is severely reduced making it behave like a simple ported enclosure with only the wood thickness for the port length ...
@@janinapalmer8368 I would not call horn. It’s like folded Voight pipe. They measure with the bass reflex very low under 30 hz ,if I take the bottom out the base is starting at 50 Hz but is stronger. If you are interested I can sand you the files of the measures.
transmission lines and ported have high group delay in low frequencies and i can always here it with music.. i've recently added drivers and more amps and the result is cleaner bass and much more accurate.. I'm beginning to think ports and lines are a bit of a gimmick.. more power and more surface diameter beats any fancy design. especially if you are paying £££££ for that fancy design
Breathtaking! Very well done!

Incredible craftsmanship.
Thank you
very solid and well built
Bravo mister !
Muy buen trabajo. Felicitaciones.
Mucha gracias.
love the built quality of these Cabinets. VERY NICE.
i'm surprised you don't have Spikes on them... you think you don't need them ?
With these I will need experiment. Thank you.
@@mari2800 they will also make them look nicer and more sophisticated. IMO of course.
Nice, but you could use about 3 more drivers in each of them speakers.
Wow a master craftsman at work bet they sound sweet
Awesome work!!!!
Thank you
Dobrá práce, kámo..

Hello I use oak wood. I love the massive wood and It’s build like music instrument real wood I think is the best for the sound.
@@mari2800 thank you.
What thickness did you decide on?
@@mari2800 my mrs loves massive wood as well..
I use 42mm if you use 27mm would be OK.
Hello the music instrument are made of the solid wood so I think is the best way for speakers too.
nice built brother

The walls was 32mm thickness. I didn’t weigh the speakers. The sound didn’t beat my another horn speakers so I sold them.
@@mari2800may I ask what speakers you are referring to? Are they on any of your videos?

The drivers look good but the foam surround will fall apart over time.
Yes like every drive this type Fostex,Voxativ and others. Will be need change after many years.
Expensive drivers😮

How much will it cost if I want to purchase your speaker cabinet?
Hello , Only cabinet will cost 1200 EUR.
@@mari2800what is cost of elements?
The wood is 500eu ,work 1500 and the driver.
@@mari2800 driver cost?
the drive is not on sale anymore but ther is different F8 Magnus 2900eu.
Looks great, the only change I would make is to flush mount the driver into the front baffle.
I will try next time (-:

Good plywood this tick ness will be more expensive but less work you right.

I think with the original cabinets the hole bottom is open.
Hello the design is bass reflex like on the website of cube audio. One of the options the bottom is open.
It's there a way to contact you for potential build of cabinets? Website or email or whatsapp?

This drive unit would behave and sound heaps better if this cabinet was rearranged to form a transmission line type ...
Hello It should be a bass reflex port like the schema on Cube audio website. And the bottom you can take out too bee like transmission speakers.
It's always a pleasure to watch a craftsman at work. Great job on your new speakers. I imagine they sound brilliant!😊
