One time for Black girl relatability 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I kept a pixie to the day I went natural. I’m so tempted to cut my hair again there’s something soooo chic about short hair!
Was I the only one that thought that’s a super cute sweater and how skilled is she to not be concerned about getting product on it? I said it before, I’ll say it again - LOVE, LOVE the haircut!
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Not one pixie stylist breaks it down for the beginners like this. Literally everything pixie is gate-kept (sp?). Thank you so much for this!
Love the result and I have a pixie as well! I suggest trying Paul Mitchell: Foaming Pomade with the Nairobi while molding. It keeps the foam “foamy” and thick and not so drippy...also it leaves the back and sides super sleek. Thanks for posting 👍🏾🧿🌹
Yes I was going to say the same thing. Something she used before applying the Narobi was oily and kept it from being super foamy which keeps it sleek. But she did a great job. I’m a licensed stylist and I loved her video
My hair has been in a pixie cut for 15/16 years, I’ve lost count. I could never cut my own hair, I can barely tong it myself lol. Thank goodness for my hair stylist, I don’t have to say a word I just set there and leave happy lol I applaud you for being able to do all that yourself with Josh’s help too.
I like when I cut my hair into a Pixie because; 1. Cutting, Molding, and Styling is fun. And 2. Whenever shake my head, I always feel like a Model. I get my skills from my Mother and I get so Many Compliments on it.
I love the mould when it's fresh from the dryer, knowing me, I'd keep it flat like that. But I also really like it when it's bumped and curled a little. So much versatility.
Love the look! I am so glad you didn't use gel. Ladies, if you use that razor comb go in with a soft touch. You can cut a hole in your hair. Trust me, I have done hair for 15 years and sometimes I slip and cut too much.
One of my favorite videos i have saved ..makes me want to cut my natural hair and do this look ..texas heat is hot sis and I just love this look on you 😍 💕. Im here wishing again today..
Love it a good relaxer and cut goes a long way so even when I don’t want to curl it I use my Nairobi wait til it dry comb it out and it still looks good
try design essentials compositions foam, it works well with or without a relaxer! I love my Nairobi but I always need a different foam if I don't plan to relax for a while.
You’re doing an EXCELLENT job doing your own hair, I usually do my own as well ( with a razor comb) I went to a barber a few days ago, my hair was laying on my neck like I like ( he literally SKINT my hair up my head) I’M LIVID, now I have to wait at least two weeks for it to grow back, I’m so mad I could cry!
Beautiful pixie cut! I absolutely love short haircuts as you can tell looking at my picture. My hair was shoulder length when I decided to learn how to cut & style. Trial & error(mostly error😂😂) but now its a breeze, I cut and style my husbands hair, who like your husband is also caucasian. Now that was a learning experience, but like you say, hair does grow back😂😂 I never do the swirls to the front or sides of my hair, it just happens naturally, but I'm trying to learn how so I can do that for others.
I wear this style a lot and when I don't wanna relax the top of my hair, I mix Paul Mitchell Foaming Pomade with Nairobi Foam. The Paul Mitchell is heavier and adds awesome shine. Love your channel, new sunnie.😊
thank you! you know it might sound crazy to you but i started fellowing you because of your hair style and I've been waiting for this video lol so thank you!! love love it!
Lisssssseeeennnnn!!! Last week, I dm’d you on IG for this video!! 😂😂 yep, I have ZERO shame for doing it either! Pixie laid to the hair gawds! Thank you! 🔥 🧚♀️ 👏🏾 🖤
Love it! I have a short cut as well but my hair is thin and natural. Im thinking about relaxing it again. Im definitely getting a razor comb as well as I hate when the back starts to grow back. Thanks for the tip!
I have waited for this video for so long! I love it. I was wondering who cut it for you. We follow some of the same steps. I go to Superkuts and get a maintenance cut every 5-6 weeks and I cut in between myself . I do everything else on my own. I have been wearing that style for several years and love it as well. Looks great in you!
Best video I have seen of hair in my life you madeso simple to do and you just so confidence ,love the smile. Always smiling ,how refreshing informative , took time with every step ,not messy , love the product had them all right there for us to view they were easy to obtain , you are so gorgeous and classy ... Well thank u God bless for sharing this video I did every step look younger ,hip classy thank you so much save money too 😍👌✌💖
I had no business watching you do this 😂. I loved having a pixie many years ago but still love short hair though mine is long now. Stop tempting me girl! Lol
Hi how are you? Just a helpful hint if you like a little versatile in your hair styling. The beauty supply/Walmart has a circular sponge hair tool (black). The tool makes little curls/waves in your short tapered/faded hair around the back and sides. This style is a natural look and is great for short hair styling. I do like your molding as well.
You did a great job! Very soothing to watch. Another great foaming lotion is Nutress my hair is texlaxed and it holds it down much better than Nairobi. I would love to know of you found another hair rinse as well. This one doesn’t last long for me either. 🌹🌹
This video makes me want to cut my hair short... up here in this Canadian winter!😍😍😍. I have so many Halle Berry / Nia Long style inspo in my Pinterest folders, for the same reason 😃😃😃. One thing though is to try to get a cape to protect your neck and shoulders... definitely don't want relaxer falling on your skin. Also, Mizani butter-blend is another good relaxer, it's a bit pricey but, it has shea butter in it. I find the texture of my hair is very shiny, even before adding conditioner. Thanks for the tip on the Nexxus products, I'll need to check them out😀
Happy New Year’s to you Queen 2023 ..🎉I hope you still have your pixie cut ..i love the way you style it’s beautiful..love your music theme ..it’s so relaxing 😌 I am following you and your steps your hair is the same definition as mine I just cut my short three months ago to the pixie I’m about keep😢my hair healthy..keeping up with my pixie and I like your regiment I like the product that you use also I use some of those I’ve never tried a Nexus which I’m going to try on my type of hair my hair is black dry but is shining on top so I’m definitely following your videos.Thank you for this beautiful tutorial❤
Beautiful! I just relaxed and cut my hair in a pixie a little longer than yours after being natural for 12 years. I’m about to go even shorter! I need the nape/kitchen area to be more self sufficient and I think that with my face shape it would look good if I did something similar to what you do. Thanks for sharing! You got yourself a new subbie!😍😆
@@MsKinkyHairDontCare I LOVE IT! I appreciate my time of being natural, but I don’t miss it at all. I really loved my pixie too! I just enjoy the grown and sexy look that I felt like I couldn’t achieve with my natural hair. I’m growing out my pixie now so I got box braids. I’m looking forward to growing it out to bob length. If you are open to it, just try it! I don’t think I’ll ever go back natural, but I know I can always change my mind.✨
You did sooo great. You should try the relaxer “Africa’s Best” it’s cheap but it works sooo well. Your hair looks thick, but I promise you it’ll have your hair sooo sleek and straight.
That style fits you so perfect 😍 … I’m naturally I’m to lazy for that style the salon appts can get expensive but I just do a lot of wigs… I have a tapered cut which I absolutely love ❤️
WOW !!!! for you not being a professional hair stylist you do exactly what my stylist does to my hair...I wear almost the same type of style as you but I have a lot more hair in the front. I'm having problems with my hair laying down on the side, even when I tie it down at night (LOL). but your hair is absolutely gorgeous.. Since watching your video I'm seriously thinking about going shorter in the front... Thank you so much for sharing ♥♥♥♥
Wow live how you style and trim your hair. I have pixie too but am too afraid to cut myself and mine never looks so sleek 😻🙈 I will try some of your suggestions. Hope I can do 🙏
Love love love. The background instrumentals were so calming. Your hair is beautiful. I can’t seem to open the flat iron link. Which one do you recommend?
Its me trying to keep my eyes open while this music is soothing my soul @ 10pm,lol🤍. I love this style. I had it years ago & contemplating again..i just need to find the right person for that initial cut.👌🏽

I thought the SAME THING sis! I used to put a rinse in my hair at home and it was a MESSY process! Notice I said…USED TO!
Nope, my thoughts exactly.
👌🏾👍🏾 for Josh coming in and helping with the process.
This jazz is so soothing while watching the process.
Almost two years later and I'm back watching this video! timeless video :) Love love the short hair on you! :)

The music is so relaxing.....I could sit here and watch all night 🤗
Finally found a video of u doing ur hair! Simply stunning
This music and watching you do your hair is so soothing!! You did a good job!🤗
Yay! Thank you!
Gurl save that money. You do a great job doing your own hair. 🥰🔥

Even when I would get my pixie done by professionals it always looked better the next day after a scarf has pressed it down. You’re fire!
This came so pretty!! It looks very salon worthy and professionally styled. Bravo 👏🏾
Yes you always look in your wigs ..but that pixie cut on you is a whole next level...its glamorous, sophisticated and cute at the same time
Very attractive, sophisticated hairstyle. Really makes your eyes standout, too.
Please take this as a compliment. You are STUNNING without a shred of or touch of makeup 😊
Thank you! 😘

Boo, if you don’t tell us that you didn’t go to a professional, we would never know 👏🏾👏🏾 That’s that black girl magic/talent right there!
A year later and I'm wondering WHY she would go to one.She slayed her head for free.🤷🏽♀️
I love the mould when it's fresh from the dryer, knowing me, I'd keep it flat like that. But I also really like it when it's bumped and curled a little. So much versatility.
At this rate you don’t need a stylist. Love your technique too.
I recently got a pixie cut and i wanted to earn how to mold myself and this video came right on time 💪🏽
It’s the jet black hair for me! The cut fits u perfectly and u did that sis! 💕💕
This tutorial is the best!!! You have really guided me along the way with styling my hair! Beautiful talent! -Thankyou!!
Beautiful! Just Beautiful! Your hair is beautiful💁🏽♀️And your skin...... flawless!!
Thank you so much!!
I love song my hair when it’s in my Toni B Pixie 🥰🧚🏾♀️ Especially the molding part ! If the cut is nice u can do no wrong ! 🧚🏾♀️
And you definitely executed the 90s Haley Berry look 🔥🔥
Love the look! I am so glad you didn't use gel.
Ladies, if you use that razor comb go in with a soft touch. You can cut a hole in your hair. Trust me, I have done hair for 15 years and sometimes I slip and cut too much.
When you said, “I like that done but undone look.” I knew immediately I needed to subscribe because that is so me 💖
