This is the first release of the Celebration Frogz with 2 motors for the movements.
Gen 2 only has a single motor.
And yes, they released a specific one to not have the red hat. It's even counted like that on the official Frogz checklist. So they're counted as a different Frogz. lol
There is no alt color variation of this Frogz.
I love this Frogz. The high pitched "Celebration" sounds amazing too.
This is one item I remember my history with very well.
He was a Christmas present and my second Frogz. (My first was Yeah)
    It did absolutely nothing originally.
The literal only thing that somewhat worked on this frog is that it twisted very slightly and slow.
Not even the sound worked. 😂
I got the top part functional quickly it was a locked motor, same with the twisting.
The sound was both wires ripped off the speaker, but here's the thing, I was really young and was scared to open it, so I did a really dumb thing by digging out the two wires from the small opening from the base and body, then I attached a larger speaker making it hang out the side of him... 😅
As a kid, I didn't care. It worked for me.
It stayed like that for a while until I actually decided to open the body to solder on the original speaker.
(i accidentally broke an arm during that)
and I believe the other arm just broke on its own..
The frog had broken arms for a lonnng time, and the gears started to split, as well as the twisting motor getting weaker.
The motor would start working better if I played it a bunch.
Fast forwarding a few years again, I decided to work on it more.
The gear was replaced for the twisting, and I WD40'd the motor. It did get a bit better.
I believe I replaced the top mech gear too, but it still sounds kinda bad in there lolol!!
The arms are always the most troublesome with this mechanism. They're thin pieces..
The left arm I replaced from another Frogz that had the movement levers snapped, but not the actual arm.
the right arm is modified using a plastic paperclip.
There was still some trouble with the left arm. The attachment where the pin goes in got cracked at the bottom, so the arm would slide out.
I did something stupid using a thin string to keep the pin in.
The string is held by the body shell.
The rigs are weird, but I'm absolutely proud that this guy's fully working finally. it's especially more satisfying when you know it was like a 98% dead item at first. (He literally did nothing xD)
There's only like 2 issues now, The wine bottle is coming loose from the hand, and the twisting still gets stuck at times.
