Appearently you are on to something quite unique. I have not seen any Utube footage of the Ural let alone a team of seasoned enthusiasts taking us along on your adventure. The high spirited ambiance is rejuvenating. Carry on please! 🌻🍍⛺️
Look up Robby 3 Wheels on TH-cam. After riding through all of Europe, he and his wife shipped their Urals to Canada and rode to the Arctic Ocean in January 2023, then through the U.S. and Mexico. They're currently going through South America.
What a curious vid!! Did very well translating the oddity of sidecarring. Seemed more fun for couples than 2-up or side by side. Reminded me a lil of your Wild Wild West episode... a lil departure from the norm, Stirling.
I’ve been riding since I was 17 and have owned dirt bikes, European bikes, Japanese bikes and even a Harley and I have to say my two favorites have been a 2015 Triumph Scrambler that I put a DMC sidecar on and my current 2023 Honda Trail 125. Don’t give up on the Trail, it’s an amazing overachiever. I hope you enjoy the Ural. They’re so cool!
I've owned a Ural since 2015. When riding on twisty roads to help with the steering accelerate when you want to drift right. This works because the power is coming out of the rear wheel and the sidecar wheel is introducing drag. When you want to drift left drag the rear brake a little.
Awesome Oregon ! This summer i'm tooling around the mountains of umbria in a vintage 2 door fiat ~ seen lots of Duccati's & vespa's but not one sidecar 🛵 !
A thoroughly entertaining video! And the undeniable chemistry between the two of you is a plus. As always I’ll be looking forward to your next video. Please continue. ✅
Way cool guys 👍 what a great idea and great way to enjoy the scenery while having a new and different experience thanks for sharing another one awesome videos
Wow! A monumental UDF moment went by unspoken at the 11 minute mark when you put the Ural into reverse! There ain't nothing quirky about having reverse. Honda has had it for over two decades with the gold Wing; BMW adapted it to its Heritage R-18 line-up; And H-D made sure to have it with its Tri-Glide 3 wheeler models. While all three of these premium brands use a novel electric motorized reverse, Ural has 'em beat with an actual geared reverse. It's a standout feature for Ural and worthy of note.
Here in the UK they used to let you buy combinations with the sidecar on the right like you guys. This meant the passenger is on the crown of the road here, facing oncoming traffic, scary. Can't buy them that way now, phew.
Dunno when this was filmed, but I did that route, north to south, in early July. I’ve often fantasized about a sidecar rig so I could take my dog with me on bike trips. So I love living vicariously through your adventure. More, please.
Love it! My way of exploring! Admittedly I’m not a huge sidecar fan but it does give you a certain freedom. You have some nice looking mounting brackets on the Ural, please do some small explanation after some of them.
If you hit the coast & cruise through Garibaldi, hit Kelly's Place "by the smokestack", especially for Friday's prime rib-but get there really early, like 1530 or so.
Sterling, you did great at the helm of the Ural! Eva, your smile and energy is so contagious! I find myself smiling whenever you're on camera talking a smiling. And guys, don't be phased when the chicks give us a hard time for clicking the tongs when we pick them up....Eva did it, too!! :) Loving this adventure, y'all! Cheers!
At one point on your 101 northern route you were 5 minutes from my house as you passed through Waldport. If you ever have the opportunity to take highway 34 from Waldport to Corvallis it is highly recommended 👍😎 Excellent video as always!
If you end up going north and looping around, make sure to drive HWY 6 and take a left at the town of Timber before HWY 26, which will loop around and follow the Nehalem River back to Nehalem Bay at the coast. A lot of the old Nehalem River Highway has been paved with at least blacktop now, so you get your very smooooooth country rides through the mountains to coast and back and forth. :-) I like routes that add a few miles of amazing, just, driving...another fun ride is through the Jefferson Wilderness, there's a long corridor of blacktop through there near the Molalla River narrows (plenty of camping too).
Good morning guys, yes another great video, love when you both do the video together, it makes your channel really inspiring to see you both sharing the same passion and more enjoyable to watch as well. I often wondered about these Ural side car setups, long time ago, few years back I was on a bike trip down to Big Bend Texas, there was an 84 year old man that had his army green setup, he was being followed by his son from Oklahoma to there because he was not sure he could handle the trip and it was his first, an interesting guy he was, from a long time two wheeler to this new experience for him, anyway interesting just the same. Me and my buddy just got off the road two days ago, we took our roadies ( roadglides) from Ala. up to Alaska, 8200 mile trip, but always great to be back home for sure and already ready to go again, that’s why I turn to your channel for continuation inspiration to keep going, fixing to turn 67 and been doing this for many years now, I never get tired of it but the time I spend in the saddle year after year age is beginning to creep up on me. I’ll shut up for now, never get tired of seeing others enjoy the same passion I do, love your channel and your unification you both have. Hang in there, Rob from Ala.
Hey Guys. It’s Rich and Colene from Canada. We visited you in Bisbee earlier this year and ate at the Mexican restaurant with the trail running dude. These videos made us smile so much. You two are so cute and we were blessed to get a few hours with you. The support you have for each other and the natural chemistry is inspiring and heart warming. I hope you are both awesome. Be well. The Roadknights.
My absolute fav vids are when y’all are together. Amazing team you make! In Pointe Noire Rep Congo at the moment and we fly to Victoria BC to explore the island in a few days ….. and all I wanna do is buy a bike and drive it back east to Nova Scotia via Bisbee 😊 thanks for the amazing vid today !
With a Ural you have to accept its limitations. Some do, others hate it. But isn't all hardware just a (nice) means of getting there? Great series, Günter/Nürnberg
The unique handling experience. I am guessing that it is because both rear wheels are driving and no differential? Or is there a switch to chose from 2 wheel to one wheel drive? Are the two rear wheels parallel?
Very different experience! Surprised you didn’t pack the kitchen sink….or maybe you did? What’s with that weird headlight, doesn’t it restrict the light output? 🇬🇧
I put together a '75 Gold Wing and a Watsonian Monza sidecar. Doug Bingham built an Earles fork (leading link) for my Gold Wing. Your remark that your sidecar rig handles unlike any motorcycle. Because it ISN'T a motorcycle anymore. It has absolutely NONE of the handling characteristics of a motorcycle. You actually steer a sidecar rig like a car with a tiller instead of a steering wheel. Turn the wheel to the left and the sidecar rig goes to the left. Attempt that on a motorcycle and it goes to the right. The closest you can come to describing how a sidecar rig handles is to compare it to an early (40's or 50's) British sports car. Same harsh suspension. But it handles different when turning left or right. Turning left, it's just like a British sports car. Turn right and it starts out acting like a car, then acts sort of like a ponderous motorcycle as the sidecar comes off the ground. Great fun to turn sharply right around a corner and fly the sidecar over the curb. Another different is the weight of the steering, It takes muscle effort to turn since the rake of the fork causes you to lift the entire front end of the motorcycle as you turn. Steering on a motorcycle takes very little effort. I notice your rig has an Earles fork suspension which is easier than standard, but still worse than a bare bike. Turning a sidecar rig can wear you out on a long twisty ride with the standard motorcycle front suspension. Look at WWII sidecar rigs. They usually use an Earles fork suspension. BMW offered it in the 30's through 60's I believe. A standard motorcycle fork suspension and geometry is not at all suited to sidecar use, but few are willing to change it out. That custom Earles fork that Doug Bingham (RIP) made for me was around $500 in 1975 money. My wife and I had plans of taking that rig from L.A. to Boston for the 1976 Bicentennial. Our first stop was Death Valley. It was so exhausting we returned home, removed the sidecar and custom suspension and continued on with the standard '75 Gold Wing for an incredible trip of 16,000 trouble free miles through the U.S. and Canada. Enjoy your adventure. Good to see you both sharing the driving. Sidecars are a wonderful experience, but very different from motorcycles.

You two are truly Soulmates. How you found each other is a mystery. But good things do happen.
Something magical about the Oregon coast!
Enjoyed this one, eagerly awaiting the next!
Cheers.
You were fortunate not to encounter high winds. That straight open section can rip. Too much fun with both of you making the vid!
Living your best life. Awesome series. Thanks for bringing us along!
What an adventure Sterling. Good luck always
What a curious vid!! Did very well translating the oddity of sidecarring.
Seemed more fun for couples than 2-up or side by side.
Reminded me a lil of your Wild Wild West episode... a lil departure from the norm, Stirling.
My wife won't ride pillion on a motorcycle, but loves riding in the sidecar!
Looks like a lot of fun.
I'm loving this series!
Thanks Nice video!!😊

I have a '10 Bonneville sidecar rig. Love the power, compared to an Ural, but wish I had a reverse gear!
😂
Another awesome series with great videos!! Thanks Sterling & Eva! 👍👍
Really like following you guys on this trip! Different kind of adventure for sure!!!

Great video! I may even try a sidecar after watch this series. Nice opportunity to slow down and enjoy the scenery more. Have fun
I LOVE these videos!!! You guys rock!!!

J aime votre francais Love your video as usual , nice to join you on this adventure Alain ^ Yellow ( Jaune) the 3 wheel ryker

Fantastic! looks so good! I wanna go!
Your friend is sooo upbeat and always smiling so positive and a great motorcycles she is good and you to lol . Please do more of these .
Thanks for sharing, keep safe on the road and enjoy your time together.
great couple. I am enjoying the series so far!
If you tighten up the steering stabilizer it will handle better at the higher speeds. Loosen it for in town driving/ slower speeds for taking corners.
Awesome!!!

Pacific City is one of my favorite places in Oregon...glad you found it and glad you are enjoying that Ural!

Excellent video as always!
Make sure and check out Silverton and Silver Falls State Park and all the Water Falls in the park
That is the coolest Ural I have ever seen !! You two are so perfect for it, great team :)
Ural riding is the best! You are always engaged and that’s why I ride motorcycles.
If you end up going north and looping around, make sure to drive HWY 6 and take a left at the town of Timber before HWY 26, which will loop around and follow the Nehalem River back to Nehalem Bay at the coast. This is really fun to watch! Enjoy your cool trip ❤🏍️
Ride there now ! So happy I rode "there now", fifty years ago.
Most Excellent! Greetings from Philomath, Oregon........................Cheers!

Had to watch the vid immediately as it was so good 🎉
I’m loving this series, the ural is on my bucket list of bikes
What a fun Ural adventure! 😊

Sidecars are the best wat to ride a bike, but you have to learn and pay attention. I do this for about 17 years now and it's always fun.
All good. That's a beautiful part of America. I worked there a few times along the coast. Being in KY I miss it. Laid back place.
Now glad you with your wife
Brilliant trip,thanks for sharing
I live in Oregon but I never get tired of riding along the coast. I go year round. Actually I prefer winter. Less tourists.
The unique handling experience.
I am guessing that it is because both rear wheels are driving and no differential?
Or is there a switch to chose from 2 wheel to one wheel drive?
Are the two rear wheels parallel?
This video reminds me not to take life too seriously and just have fun! Good job, you two doofuses.
Could be true!
Kitchen sink gota have one
Very different experience! Surprised you didn’t pack the kitchen sink….or maybe you did?
What’s with that weird headlight, doesn’t it restrict the light output? 🇬🇧
Great video! Do you prefer riding in lush forested areas or having the serenity of the desert roads ?

looks like you need a trailer!!
you better take every it might get stolen
Welcome to the world of sidecars. Don't be surprised if you become addicted.
Junk
What cameras do you use in this video?
DJI Osmo 4, DJI Pocket 3, DJI Mini 3 Pro drone, Fuji XH2s...
Buy a Ural IMZ
Side cars are lame unless of course you’re crippled then they’re valid.
Not areal good endorsement for a Ural, lol. Tries to kill you in so many ways, lol. Just what you need, lol.
What's that ugly white thing on the headlight ? And do you really need a little door on the sidecar? Sheesh.
I hope you attitude does not reflect the Ural
