The game that was supposed to be at Estadio Azteca in 2018 was Chiefs vs Rams, not Chargers. It was moved back to LA and ended up being the highest scoring game in MNF.
I fully believe the game was moved out of Mexico not because of the field conditions (the NFL is a multibillion dollar organization that had more than enough resources to get the field in good condition by gametime), but because both teams had 9-1 records at the time and the NFL felt that such a high-stakes game shouldn't be played abroad.

An interesting did you know about the Frankfurt Galaxy: They, the Cologne Centurions, Berlin Thunder, Hamburg Sea Devils, and Rhein Fire (all formerly of NFL Europe) are now back to playing American football in the European League of Football that began play in 2021. They all use the names from NFL Europe thanks to a deal between NFL, ELF, and the 5 clubs in question. Of note: Only the Fire play in the same venue the NFL Europe counterpart played at full time (Frankfurt, Berlin, and Cologne all use smaller venues, and Hamburg technically doesn't use the Volksparkstadion full time for ELF play, rotating amongst several other venues in north Germany)

6:02 "...it was also converted to this (retractable rood design) without interrupting games in the stadium" Real Madrid who had to play games in their B-team's stadium during the pandemic: "¿Que?"

The only realistic ones you listed are Accor, Suncorp, Marvel, the MCG, and maybe Allianz. AAMI, CommBank, Mt Smart are too small (Eden Park would be NZ’s option if NZ ever got one), and Perth likely wouldn’t host because that travel situation is the most extreme (and extremely expensive for anyone going)
Buenos Aires, Argentina would be a nice place to host an NFL game. There is an 80,000 seat on the outskirts of Argentina's capital city that could host it. The stadium is called Mas Monumental and is owned by River Plate, one of the largest soccer/football teams in Argentina and in the world. Taylor Swift had her Argentina concerts at this location.
it would... but the argentineans are very locked down with rugby already, their national team is really good. I see a game vs New Zealand, Australia and South Afirca happening there, I really don't know about the NFL. Here in Brasil the NFL is really solid... third biggest audience in the world. You will see that we were due for a game.
hi Vids, Tom was here in Brazil (as you already now....)... Our Corinthians Stadium (im corinthians fan) is great for the first NFL game here in Brazil, cause has a very big outside area and is easy to get by 2 metro stations inside the stadium... also Sao Pauo city is way bigger than Rio (almost 25 million people) we just dont have the beach view...but you can buy it in a postcard....kkkk cheers from Brazil!!
The NFL games in Mexico will be rescheduled after 2026 World Cup games and in this year , Mexico will finish a new stadium in Monterrey city with 65 k seats capacity
You used 'rogering' correctly, it's a term for copulating, you did pronounce Twickenham incorrectly though, the 'h' is silent. Oddness of the English language when spoken by the English . 😁
As a Brazilian that watches the NFL, it makes me kinda sad that the players were pictured the idea that Brazil's streets are that scary. Sure, we have a crime problem, but that's not everywhere, it is localized crime, you will get robbed if you go to the wrong place at the wrong time. NFL players acting like Brazil is a jungle full of apes is so freaking sad. We don't see bodies on the streets lmao
I don't know why the Maracana is considered so iconic to be honest with you, I think that's just Brazilian football related hyperbole. Apparently it fit around 200,000 people in it back in 1950 though, maybe that's why, I don't know. It's never captured my imagination though.
@@FivePointsVids It also fell into a state Pontiac Silverdome style disrepair after the 2016 Olympics. There are a lot of factors at play there, but that's how much they cared about this "jewel". Pele played there, but he also played at Giants Stadium. 😂
might be 'Murica thinking that there is no civilization below Arizona. It has the same importance as the old Yankee Stadium has to baseball. The british invented the game, we made it an art. And the greatest museum for that art is the Maracanã. Believe me, it was a shame to let the Maracanã getting disrepaired after the olympics, those days are long gone. Thing is, it was owned and operated by the state of Rio de Janeiro. And they gave up the stadium operation to a consortium of companies after the most recent (and criminal, and basically unnecessary) renovation. The consortium and the state had a disagreement and the consortium gave up. If you were brazilian you would understand why. Place hosted most national team games over the years, two World Cup finals, and countless games of great importance and atmosphere at the club level. Hosted the biggest crowd in volleyball history, Sinatra, The Pope, Guns n Roses, to name a few. It was, in the old days, truly seen as the house of the people through football (yes, I'm not changing that). In a phrase that was written once in a newspaper: a man comes to the general admission area of the Maracanã in the weekends searching a win that life denied him all week long. It's also a place of christening: an iconic game by a player in there proves that you can do anything. Every major brazilian player has an iconic game in the Mário Filho (the official name of the stadium) A sunday in the true Maracanã, a tribute of the Fluminense fanbase to the deceased pope John Paul II (th-cam.com/video/XiC0DuVNmgg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TpgAYsAWVCdAe5nc)
@@Mullerology it truly does. I'm in a place far away from Rio. I wish I could've gone to the stadium between 2007-10. It was perfect for me in those years. And until 1960 Rio was our national capital (first 10 years of the stadium), which reinforced the status as the home of the national team. It was our de facto national stadium. But nowadays the national team plays anywhere but here, only 9 games every four years because it's mandatory to play in the nation (World Cup Qualifier games). Between 1950-2010 this stadium had more history in a weekend than many of those new stadiums could have in 10 years
NFL has chosen the wrong stadium in Sao Paulo for their business. They should have chosen the Allianz Parque Arena, with a MUCH BETTER location. Neo Quimica Arena is too far from city center, in a dangerous area, but they had chosen because it had World Cup and Olympics (and this happened because political choices ONLY, not practical: just notice that Corinthians team doesn’t have money to pay back for this stadium, and this corrupt government has given them this stadium paid by public money almost for free). You guys will make more money using Allianz or Morumbi. Brazil is the country of corruption 😢
and plus, all the things that the other sports are trying to do now association football (that's what the A in FIFA is for) has done decades ago, they are very much ahead by time
The NFL can finally say they've reached the big time when they play a game at the North Pole. (Not the South Pole, there's actual land there. Anybody can play on that.)
One of these days the NFL will dominate the world and we'll basically have what the WFL wanted to be and what the NFL sort of tried with the WLAF. Though if American Football overtakes Soccer, I hope the NFL just creates continental leagues (OG NFL, NFL Europe II, NFL Asia, etc.) and have a champions league style WLAF.
Maybe they went small for the first Brazil game since the popularity of the NFL in the most soccer mad place on Earth is still unproven. I figure there will have to be a game in Paris at some point. Its position as a global center for sport means the NFL will want to start tap that audience. Also weird that there hasn't been a game in Canada, though the CFL probably makes that hard.
the Bills played a game per year in Toronto for some seasons. I don't see the game going to some other place in Brasil. Not because of capacity (you will see), but because the stadiums that are bigger have pretty much no space for other league activities. Paris can host one easily at Stade de France
And people call MetLife the "Air Conditioner" stadium. Madrid takes the cake. Did you talk to Tom about them as he's actually been to them? Surprised this wasn't a collab (Yes I know he's at training camp now)
The Steelers have stated they intend to play a regular season game there in the future. In the short term, they want to do a pre season game there Basically, the Rooney family originally came from Ireland, and part of this is going back to roots
Thanks so much for showing the old Wembley stadium. Luckily I went there as a child, what an iconic place. They should have kept it and renovated it. The historic significance and individuality deserved it.
We have seen baseball what I want to see is football at one place the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo Japan it would be kind of cool as it will bring up a question should NFL Game only be played outside or can they be inside also
The should have one on a aircraft carrier since its already three football fields long might not get alot of seating but it would be awesome to see on tv. its a college basketball team that plays on one every year.
Astro Turf on a concrete floor absolutely destroys players' knees. I highly doubt that slapping it down over non-skid and steel deck plates is going to be any nicer. There are also padeyes, JBDs, catapult shuttles and rails, tophat cameras, and arresting wires on the deck, which would have to be removed or covered. You're talking about spending millions, just to modify the flight deck, just to make it usable. Then there's the fact that we don't exactly have "spare" aircraft carriers. So we'd have to pull a carrier from active duty, modify it, and keep it out of the fleet for months, just to play a single game, and then spend several more months out of operation, just to put it back the way it was before. Playing with national security and wasting taxpayer funds for a single game doesn't sound like all that great an idea, honestly.

* AAMI Park - Melbourne (Might be small but great atmosphere)
* CommBank Stadium - Sydney (Nice looking ground)
* Docklands Stadium / Marvel Stadium - Melbourne
* Allianz Stadium - Sydney
*Optus Stadium - Perth
And the amazing ................Mt Smart Stadium - Auckland, New Zealand (Up The Whas) lol
The only realistic ones you listed are Accor, Suncorp, Marvel, the MCG, and maybe Allianz. AAMI, CommBank, Mt Smart are too small (Eden Park would be NZ’s option if NZ ever got one), and Perth likely wouldn’t host because that travel situation is the most extreme (and extremely expensive for anyone going)
looking forward for the brazil game, I'll be there!
Who you gonna root for?
@@whosaidthat84 fly, eagles fly!! friends from philly are coming down here for the game!!

BBVA Stadium in Monterrey
Who's ready for college football week zero i"m definitely am.
I think if they can get the small details down Toyko, or maybe Seoul will be added shortly
I believe the Packers and Raiders once played a preseason game in Canada
I think that the NFL should play in Paris, Seoul, Rome, Tokyo, or Sydney next!
i like one of the Spanish renovated stadium that has the nfl in mind. very cool idea n renovation.
7:07 Maracanã would be nice someday, but finding an open date on the crazy 70+ games per season schedule it has currently would be very difficult
Bring it to Australia
If you can say Tottenham properly as you did in this video then you can say Twickenham properly too!
Apart from the first syllable it's the same.
5:03 Shows a picture of the Estadio Azteca with the Rams logo.
5:10 “… *Same two teams* , the Chiefs and the *Chargers* played here” 💀
They need to play one in the Tokyo Dome. NFL hasnt been back to Japan in forever. Eagles did play in Japan way back in 1993
hi Vids, Tom was here in Brazil (as you already now....)...
Our Corinthians Stadium (im corinthians fan) is great for the first NFL game here in Brazil, cause has a very big outside area and is easy to get by 2 metro stations inside the stadium... also Sao Pauo city is way bigger than Rio (almost 25 million people)
we just dont have the beach view...but you can buy it in a postcard....kkkk
cheers from Brazil!!
or come some days early and go down to Santos, Guarujá...
They should do games in Toronto's rogers centre again. I know when they tried it with the bills, it failed, but hey, toronto's a big market
The NFL games in Mexico will be rescheduled after 2026 World Cup games and in this year , Mexico will finish a new stadium in Monterrey city with 65 k seats capacity
nfl game at twink stadium before gta 6
I hope they have festive laser lighting like that Mexico game did!
a game in sydney would be a dream need to attend an nfl game maybe that would be it
You used 'rogering' correctly, it's a term for copulating, you did pronounce Twickenham incorrectly though, the 'h' is silent. Oddness of the English language when spoken by the English . 😁
🤣🤣🤣
Saw Beyonce at Tottenham last year, amd going to Bears-Jags at that same stadium this year!
It's like every country. There are nice parts and ugly parts.
Any future videos if you can pronouce Twickenham as Twicknum then you will be made an honorary Londoner.
0:30 We call The Big Printer
Allianz was by far the best stadium I’ve ever been to
5:08 Correction... the RAMS and Chiefs were supposed to play there in 2018
bills played a ton of games at the rogers center. not going to mention that at all???

People asking for games in all sort of countries 😅
Hold your horses. People at their own team cities want to watch the games too.
I don't know why the Maracana is considered so iconic to be honest with you, I think that's just Brazilian football related hyperbole. Apparently it fit around 200,000 people in it back in 1950 though, maybe that's why, I don't know. It's never captured my imagination though.
it's honestly a pretty bland stadium but it holds so many people
@@FivePointsVids It also fell into a state Pontiac Silverdome style disrepair after the 2016 Olympics.
Every major brazilian player has an iconic game in the Mário Filho (the official name of the stadium)
A sunday in the true Maracanã, a tribute of the Fluminense fanbase to the deceased pope John Paul II (th-cam.com/video/XiC0DuVNmgg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TpgAYsAWVCdAe5nc)
@@otaviofrnazario That's cool bro. I'm glad it means a lot Brazilians
Best thing would be to expand on teams in the future instead of relocate
Australia sounds like it'll happen in 2026 or 2027, likely involving the Rams.
Real Madrid played at their training ground stadium whilst their ground was being renovated, also it was during covid and lockdown.
Nfl/american football willl never be more popular than soccer/world futbol. We all sometimes forget just how big of a deal soccer is worldwide!!
and plus, all the things that the other sports are trying to do now association football (that's what the A in FIFA is for) has done decades ago, they are very much ahead by time
I would love to see NFL play a game at Strawberry Arena, Stockholm
I hope they host a game in Barcelona when Camp Nou renovation is finished, it would be great to have an NFL game at my city
Gi to Japan, what did they have to infer for stadiums? Send Terrell Davis' family first class.
Their stadiums 🏟 in Europe look so nice
And people call MetLife the "Air Conditioner" stadium. Madrid takes the cake. Did you talk to Tom about them as he's actually been to them? Surprised this wasn't a collab (Yes I know he's at training camp now)
Where’s Toronto on this list?
I want the NFL to have a game in Ireland like College Football does.
The Steelers have stated they intend to play a regular season game there in the future. In the short term, they want to do a pre season game there
Basically, the Rooney family originally came from Ireland, and part of this is going back to roots
Kinda shocked the Jags haven't played at Craven, considering the connection and what not
Way too small at a capacity of 25,000
Thanks so much for showing the old Wembley stadium. Luckily I went there as a child, what an iconic place. They should have kept it and renovated it. The historic significance and individuality deserved it.
No Rogers Centre?
Jags sure play alot in Britain.
They went to Europe before Canada😂
We have seen baseball what I want to see is football at one place the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo Japan it would be kind of cool as it will bring up a question should NFL Game only be played outside or can they be inside also
What are you talking about? There are already NFL teams with indoor stadiums.😂
Estadio Azteca is being renovated for the next Fifa World Cup. Hopefully we can have a game in Monterrey or Guadalajara.
At this point the jags are London teams🤣 might as well just move them over to england
@@SkunkApe407what about using a mothballed carrier? They could dock in different cities or naval bases.
@@benwahl3989 we have the JFK, Constellation, Kitty Hawk, and Ranger in mothball. You're not getting the DoD to okay turning those historical vessels into a gimmicked staudium.
