- The Vernon's Miracle Card Trick Performance and Tutorial
With the magician's back turned, a spectator selects a card from a shuffled pack of cards. A group of cards is selected, the chosen card is placed into these cards, and the cards shuffled once again. When the magician turns back around, they are amazingly able to look through the cards and find the selected card.
After the performance is a full tutorial showing exactly how you can learn this easy card trick.
This card trick was devised by Dai Vernon.

Oh my grandkids will love me this xmas. I always learn 2 tricks. This is one of them
Excellent. Hope they enjoy it 🙂
Thank you. Simple but so effective (and room for creative additions)
Thank you 🙂👍
I was about to ask what if all 4 were in the pile. You answered that. Cool trick.
Thanks 👍 Yes all 4 in the pile is the perfect outcome 🙂
With little forcing you can land on miracle every single time. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes that's a great idea 🙂👍
@@crashmagic Just realized that then you know the card in advance so they can deal any number of cards - that makes the method even harder to guess. Just checked with my son, and I told him to deal on two piles, just not too little, because if I guess one card among three it would be unimpressive, but not too much so the trick does not last too long. He just cut the deck in two, put it on the table and the "got ya" smile on his face was priceless. Even more priceless was his face when I produced all eights. This really works, it is easy and innocent in performance and the effect is massive. Thanks again.
In the 3 of the same card situation, I would put 2 of then on top, and one on the bottom. If its one of the top, I would a double lift to show the second or a single lift to show the first.
A second deal is also a good one
fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful 👍
Awesome trick! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you and have a good weekend 🙂

Very strong effect with an ingenious method. Thanks for sharing! 😀😀😀
Thanks 👍 Yes it's a nice method 🙂
Very nice routine. Thank you for this tutorial. 🎇
Thanks and glad you liked it 👍
I really enjoyed this! What an ingenious metod! 👏👏
Yes it's very clever and basically the same as the principle for finding a chosen card over the phone.
Great trick. Thanks 👍
Thank you. Glad you liked it 🙂👍
Congrats on 1k subs and brilliant card trick my friend 😍
Thanks so much on both counts 👍
This is great! I'll add this to my notes. Thanks for sharing it 👍
Thanks. You must have lots of notes 🙂
Love this trick! And as incredible as this may sound, the first two times I practiced this trick, all four cards of the spectator's chosen card were in the pile of counted cards. First time there were all of the 9's and the second time there were all of the 7's. Incredible! What are the odds? So glad you covered this unlikely, but obviously very possible occurrence in the tutorial. I plan on showing this trick to my fellow magicians at my magic club meeting tonight. Good trick!
Thanks so much and glad you like it. Hope you get four cards again tonight 🙂👍
Very nice my man this is in Card College Light.. I have just been to lazy to read it.. Thanks for the video !!
Thanks and glad you liked it 🙂👍
It occurs to me that if you set the deck up so the top half is made up mostly of three copies of each high card, when they choose a card from the deck and then count off the right number of cards, it will greatly increase the chances of the “miracle” ending, with all four there. Especially if the selection is a force from the middle with the fourth copies all bunched together.
Oh yes! That's a great idea to increase the chances 👍
With all respect i have not seen this trick before yet it took me only about 3 seconds to figure out the method!! Seems way too easy to me that this would actually fool anyone, as i am not a mathematical genius!! Spectators are more sophisticated these days than they were in the past. The misdirection involved just doesn't seem strong enough to hide the method. Gary in dreamland; have a nice dream!!!🙂☁️☁️☁️⛅💫⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🍬🍬🍬☁️⏰☁️ dream!!!

Where was this published?
The problem is that if there is another Queen in your pile of 24, you won't know which queen it is, so that's a flaw, that if there is a duplicate card, the trick will fail, if you pick the wrong one.
8:40 explains how to handle duplicates and as some people have mentioned in other comments, you may choose to try and force duplicates for the ultimate outcome.
No one I know would have the patience for all of that, neither would I when trying to perform it. I'd fall asleep on my closeup pad! Definitely not trying to learn that. The miracle would be how fast your audience starts snoring!
I don't think there is the need to spread the cards on the table so you can count them. Because when you pick them up to look through them to locate their card you can count them at that time. Even if you have to say "I'm trying to mentally find your card, please keep concentrating on it" The first time you went through the cards you were counting them. Now that you know the value, the second time you go through them is when you set up the position of their card. It's more of a mind reading trick now. Otherwise they can figure out you counted the cards and divided in half. Too obvious. By making it into a mind reading trick and having trouble finding it the first time you look at them and telling them to think harder, it throws them off that you are counting. Also another idea is if there is a 4th duplicate, you can place it that number from the top. If they chose a jack and there are 4 Jack's you can place the 4th jack 11 from the top.
Wonderful though they are, I don't think I'd trust my friends not to f their part in it up.
🤣
I hate counting and counting and so many moves all for i found your card how is that entertaining thats a puzzle not magic and DEFINITely not a miracle whats the miracle?
Yeah not a fan. Pass.
I agree
Boooo
Great job my man
To much talking
Not worth watching because it is a WASTE OF TIME.. Unnecessary delay.
It’s such a terrible trick. If an ace is selected, especially so!!!!
