I Hope You Guys and Gals Enjoyed the Video! If You Have Any Questions, Let Me Know!
Thanks for the information.
As Always @huntercoleman460! I am here to inform the masses of how UP operates! If you want to use those for railfanning go for it!
New to the channel.. great information 👍
Thank you @FLRailroaddog I’m glad you found what I provided as informative. If you want to take the photos of the cards for your railfanning adventures, go for it!
Good video, like.
Thank you very much!
I hope this will help me in the future with my dream job:) definitely saving this video
My friend, this job isn’t as glamorous as it seems. The people are not nice man and if they sniff the fact you like trains. They WILL fire you.
@WIPEOUT_Trains I know man I get that a lot but tbh I'll do anything to get that job I already graduated high school and got my diploma which is required so I'm somewhat ready
@@EricPlayzGames well please just remember there are other places to work also. To me, it’s not worth the amount of time away from family which really takes a toll on your mental state.
@WIPEOUT_Trains I'm just waiting til I'm fully ready when the day comes I'd be ready
I guess to sum it up I want to do work somewhere where I'm excited to go to work and not wish I had done that sooner
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I'm used to Eastern railroad signaling systems. When a signal says "approach diverging" or "diverging clear" and the rule is "proceed at prescribed speed". How does one know what the prescribed speed is? I am used to eastern signaling traditions where you will always be given the speed such as "approach limited" or "approach slow".
Hey @j-bird1778 so the “diverging” signals are basically to tell us that we are going from 1 line of track to another and we have ti correspond with the speed limit of that crossing. It’s just something that we have been taught. Also proceed and prescribed speed is something that we are given in our time table that is our speed limit for any length of track that we run on.
I remember taking this test i nearly was about to make a 0 on the score but my memory came back online and i made 100 and my instructor stopped the whole class after the test and called me to the center room and told me you either have to be a genius or you got bad memory 😂😂😂 all to say he said he never seen anything like this before 😂😂😂
Yea that test was super tough but that is a great story🤣 thanks for sharing
Now, you could be me with the Train Simulation game, and fly right through the yard at 35 mph, and completely throw out all of these signals, and rules.
Haha UP Management would have a field day with us! Training videos will be just us pissing around!😂😁

UP: Noooo, you can't just take off with the Big Boy!
Us: hahaha, locomotive go Brrrrrrrr!
@@bruinOne Yes Exactly are YOU in the Cab of the Big Boy...NO😂
The signals you have are complicated, compared to the Dutch system.
I can only imagine the Dutch system!
@@WIPEOUT_Trains In the Netherlands only one signal, sometimes with a number signal for a different speed than the standard track speed. For example: after a station the train can go 2 directions. One direction max speed 120 Km/h, the diversion route 80 Km/h. If the train goes strait, only green signals. If the train goes the other route, first a orange signal with number signal shows 8, indicating reduce speed to 80 Km/h, followed by a green blinking light with a number signal showing a 8 indicating passing allowed with a max speed of 80 Km/h. After that a green signal indication that the train can go to the max track speed. The track speed is given by a sign.
Where were u a conductor at for UP?
Most of my time was in Roseville CA.
where can someone, who is a model railroader, get a copy of these cards?
Hey @johnbrogan6583 unfortunately, to only get these cards. You have to apply for the train crew position and then they will provide these cards.
@@WIPEOUT_Trains thank you
Where can I buy theses cards ???
Howdy you can not buy these cards. You get these by working for the railroad.
@@WIPEOUT_Trains thanks starting for up in a couple days
@@jayd60644 Trust no one my friend managers are not your friend! Don’t be afraid to ask questions!
