I really admire this lady Patricia Nicolai! She did not accept to be passive but went on and created her own perfumes. I discovered them recently in Greece and I really like them. They have something unique and so classy! Real gems!
Nicolai is one of the handful few authentic perfume houses on the market. This is real authentic traditional French perfumery, rare today. Unlike 98% of perfumes on the market, which are copies of some other fragrances, Nicolai actually creates them from scratch the traditional French way.
I want to support this house based on her story alone. Good for her for going out on her own! I have yet to try any fragrances by Patricia/Parfums de Nicolaï, but I have had Cap Neroli & Fig Tea in my cart just waiting for me to place the order so clearly I'm most interested in those two. I also love that her fragrances aren't soo expensive. My current favorite neroli scent is TF Neroli Portofino and current favorite tea scent is Le Labo's Thé Noir 29.
I’ve tried New York Intense and Patchouli Intense from PDN. I would love to get my nose on and own a bottle of Cuir Cuba Intense. My favorite tobacco fragrance is Slumberhouse Jeke. New York Intense is my other choice and the sample I had didn’t last 2 days before it was empty. My favorite Oakmoss based fragrance has got to be Frédéric Malle French Lover. Hello, I personally used Bagouli and New York, and the Bagouli was fabulous, a masterpiece, and a bomb of fragrant and steadfastness, as if you were walking in a grove of green bagouli and vanilla trees. As for New York, it does not reach the strength of the fragrant baguioli, but it is a very beautiful fragrance of citruses and warm, refreshing spices.
So happy to see this review of De NicolaÏ,,, I went to a shop in Paris years ago and was struck by the simplicity and elegance of everything!!. Ended up purchasing a roomspray of Musc Blanc and adore it in my bathroom!!! I have to go with your top two favorites as so often I love your top picks! My favorite tobacco fragrance is Herod PDM and my favorite sample (do not own) of musk is Musk Aoud Roja Dove... although this one from Nicolaï seems so much cleaner and fresh so I am excited to try it. Madam Nicolai is an amazing talent. I'm glad she didn't get sucked into Guerlain, she probably would not be able to showcase her amazing skills. Her room sprays are amazing too. I have a couple.
You have GOT to try Odalisque... It's honestly one of the best fragrances I've ever worn... Green, floral chypre... And NOTHING smells like it.. really unique! ❤
Oh, the Musc Intense sounds amazing. I haven't tried it as I am apparently anosmic to some musks. The pear note is particularly enticing to me. I have a decant of Areej Le Dore's Russian Musk, which is heavenly and my favorite musk right now. Cap Neroli is also on my list to try. My current favorite neroli is Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir. My favorite Nicolai of all time is Le Temps d'une Fete, which is unfortunately discontinued. Sebastian, you must try the Patchouli Intense. Absolutely stunning! Illinois here.

I'm definitely intrigued by this house! The 30ml bottles are so ideal! Fig-Tea definitely sounds good! My favorite and SOTD is Un Jardin en Mediterannee. Second would be Cuir Cuba and my thoughts on Tobacco is that it's been repetitive in so many houses. But I do really enjoy Tobacco Vanille. Nevada.

My favorites, based on your descriptions are New York Intense and Cuir Cuba. My favorite oak moss fragrance goes way back to Coriolan by Guerlain. Favorite tobacco is really hard to choose as tobacco can be done so many different ways, but I'll go with a classic, Chergui by Serge Lutens.

New York Intense and Cap Neroli sound best to me. (My favorite now is New York... haven't gotten my nose on NY Intense yet). Favorite Neroli is Ferrari's Bright Neroli (!) which was cheap when I could get it.... seems to have disappeared altogether. I'm sure that's a much simpler fragrance, but I'm very keen to sniff the Parfums de Nicolai Neroli. Greetings from Southern California!

Loved the description of all of these. I've never tried anything from this house. I'm drawn to Musc Intense. My favorite musk fragrance is Kiehl's Musk (both the oil and edt). I've never tried any PdN but always have wanted to try New York Intense. I love Bois du Portugal and Héritage which I have heard NYI compared to. I love Paloma Picasso EdP and Mitsuoku for Oak Moss. Musc Intense also would be great to try and my favorite current musk is Over the Musk by Mugler. I live in Arizona.
Just picked up almost the entire line from fragrancebuy in their sale, I was going to pass on Musc Intense until I saw your review, sounds great. Really looking forward to trying this house out.
I loved her story of the big kiss off to Guerlain's male-dominated world. The neroli sounds very vibrant and interesting for summer. I've wanted to see more stone-fruit and fig fruit scents but I am not a tea scent fan. This sounds lovely. Cuir Cuba! Mmmmm. Very interesting composition! I like animalic musks rather than clean musks. But pear and musk sounds interesting. I think my two picks would be the Cuir Cuba and the Fig Tea since those are notes I own the least of. I think my fave tobacco scent is Habanita. My fave fig is probably Armani Prive Figuier Eden or Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio if it lasted longer. I have a few samples from this house that I have not tried yet. I am in Ohio.

Cool new intro music! I remember your review on Cap Neroli and it's certainly a winner - definitely my second choice of the bunch. But New York Intense piques my interest in this one... Creed's BdP has been one of my favourite old school woody aromatics for a while now, so if NYI really tops it....wow. My current favorite tobacco scent is Rania J's T. Harbenero. And current orange fave remains Cirebon from Paul Schütze, although I also love the original Czech and Speake Neroli. I'd have to say that the Cap Neroli is most interesting to me. I am in the States in Pennsylvania.

Fig Tea and Cap Neroli for me. Favorite fig fragrance is Figaro de Lubin. I like Neroli Portofino but the price is so off-putting that I'd rather douse myself with 4711 which smells very much like it. to my nose, at least.

I love this house. My favourites among this five are Musk Intense and New York Intense, but as I already have them I would like to chose Cap Neroli for giveaway. My favourite musk scent apart this one (Musk Intense by PdN) is completely different musk scent, which is Narciso Rodriguez For Him Eau de Parfum Intense. My favourite oakmoss scent? O, wow, this is hard, I like this one as well as BdP by Creed, but I have to mention also a few others like: Polo by Ralph Lauren, Colonia Quercia by Acqua di Parma, Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene and Bogart by Jacques Bogart. New York Intense and Cap Neroli sound best to me. (My favorite now is New York... haven't gotten my nose on NY Intense yet). Favorite Neroli is Ferrari's Bright Neroli (!) which was cheap when I could get it.... seems to have disappeared altogether. I'm sure that's a much simpler fragrance, but I'm very keen to sniff the Parfums de Nicolai Neroli. Greetings from Southern California!

Loved the description of all of these. I've never tried anything from this house. I'm drawn to Musc Intense. My favorite musk fragrance is Kiehl's Musk (both the oil and edt). The other I was drawn to was Cuir Cuba Intense. My favorite tobacco fragrance is Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille (even though I don't own it). I live in the USA (Pennsylvania)

Top 2 choices would be cap neroli and fig-tea! My fav neroli fragrance is basil & neroli (Jo Malone London) and unfortunately I don't have any tea or fig fragrances. From Canada, can pick up from USA. Hopefully I can still enter the contest :)
I've never tried any PdN but always have wanted to try New York Intense. I love Bois du Portugal and Héritage which I have heard NYI compared to. I love Paloma Picasso EdP and Mitsuoku for Oak Moss. Musc Intense also would be great to try and my favorite current musk is Over the Musk by Mugler. I live in Arizona.

Just picked up almost the entire line from fragrancebuy in their sale, I was going to pass on Musc Intense until I saw your review, sounds great. Really looking forward to trying this house out.
I loved her story of the big kiss off to Guerlain's male-dominated world. The neroli sounds very vibrant and interesting for summer. I've wanted to see more stone-fruit and fig fruit scents but I am not a tea scent fan. This sounds lovely. Cuir Cuba! Mmmmm. Very interesting composition! I like animalic musks rather than clean musks. But pear and musk sounds interesting. I think my two picks would be the Cuir Cuba and the Fig Tea since those are notes I own the least of. I think my fave tobacco scent is Habanita. My fave fig is probably Armani Prive Figuier Eden or Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio if it lasted longer. I have a few samples from this house that I have not tried yet. I am in Ohio.

Musc Intense and Cap Neroli sounds a bit more to my interest but I don’t have a favorite Musc or Neroli fragrance yet because I Haven’t had the chance to try or wear fragrances with those notes being dominant. Cool new intro music! I remember your review on Cap Neroli and it's certainly a winner - definitely my second choice of the bunch. But New York Intense piques my interest in this one... Creed's BdP has been one of my favourite old school woody aromatics for a while now, so if NYI really tops it....wow. Favourite current oakmoss is tough though..hmm...probably the original Eau Savage. Mugler cologne is my current favourite neroli. Can't wait to hear about Patchouli Intense! NC

I have tried New York Intense and Cuir Cuba Intense, so I'm most intrigued by the Musc Intense and Cap Neroli. My current favorite musk probably isn't heavy on the note, but I'd go with Christopher Street by Charenton Macerations or Narciso Rodriguez for Him. My current neroli is Neroli Portofino Acqua by Tom Ford. I'm in Ohio.

I have to admit that the combination of notes makes it obvious that she's trying to break new ground and I value and appreciate that. A great perfume should be distinctive as well as smell beautiful, IMHO. OMG, definitely "Cuir Cuba Intense," and my fave tobacco (decant) is Herod and "Fig-Tea," and my absolute favorite tea scent is Le Labo's The Noir 29. Shocker, I know, right? This is a great brand. Used to own New York original and it is a world class fougere. Reminded me of an upscale Bowling Green. New York Intense and Musc Intense would be my selections. Current Oakmoss is Sartorial. Current fav musk is SMN Muschio. Gorgeous stuff. Cal USA 🇺🇸

Fantastic review as always, thank you. I own PdN's Vie de Chateau and adore it's fresh hay greenness. It's a house I'd truly enjoy more of I'm certain. My current favorite tobacco scent is Rania J's T. Harbenero. And current orange fave remains Cirebon from Paul Schütze, although I also love the original Czech and Speake Neroli. I'd have to say that the Cap Neroli is most interesting to me. I am in the States in Pennsylvania.

Fig Tea and Cap Neroli for me. Favorite fig fragrance is Figaro de Lubin. I like Neroli Portofino but the price is so off-putting that I'd rather douse myself with 4711 which smells very much like it. to my nose, at least.

I love this house. My favourites among this five are Musk Intense and New York Intense, but as I already have them I would like to chose Cap Neroli for giveaway. My favourite musk scent apart this one (Musk Intense by PdN) is completely different musk scent, which is Narciso Rodriguez For Him Eau de Parfum Intense. My favourite oakmoss scent? O, wow, this is hard, I like this one as well as BdP by Creed, but I have to mention also a few others like: Polo by Ralph Lauren, Colonia Quercia by Acqua di Parma, Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene and Bogart by Jacques Bogart.
