Man...I was laughing in the beginning because I thought this was hilarious. But then something weird started to happen. I started reminiscing about Champaign and really missed it. So for all you people still there - enjoy it while it lasts because college is awesome!!!
The hateful and ridiculous comments by some people are just uncalled for. As a white Chicagoan alum, I think one of the coolest things about my time at U of I was the diversity and all of the people I met from different countries, some of whom are still good friends of mine. Yes, I was also Greek. It's possible to be Greek and tolerant, imagine that. That being said, this video made me a little Champaign-sick. Nicely done! Don't let bigots ruin your day. Keep doing what you do.
Wow, this is so good, it looks like it was done by a professional advertising company rather than just the Chinese student club! I'm posting it on the Facebook group for the university I'm teaching at now... maybe this will cause some of my current undergrads to follow my footsteps to Illinois for grad school? (And the pretty girls in the video probably help, too :)

this has nothing to do with the CSSA students though. They are students here, studying like the rest of us. If you are upset about the University admission policies, then direct your complaints at the University, not at the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, a student group who is merely representing people who are our classmates and peers. They haven't done anything wrong with this video - people are mixing their frustration and directing it at the wrong people.
This actually makes our University look beautiful. Though I too am concerned about how that girl got into the Morrow Plots. Don't we get expelled for that?
