Im really excited for the last album Chris said it will be "back to basics" and he talked about some Acoustic Ballads that were from Parachutes Sessions.
Been more of an album fan over singles... an album tends to carry more themes, has more of a narrative and can take the listener on a journey.. I also feel I'm getting more for my money. I don't dislike the idea of singles but over my lifetime of being a Coldplay fan (2001 to now and beyond) the only iTunes singles I bought were... "Moving to Mars" and "Flags". I know albums have more weight with making them and I know it's the choice they're making... it'll be bittersweet in 2025 listening to the definitive, "Coldplay" album. :,) To end on a happier note, I'm thrilled Coldplay is taking more of an interest in sustainability. Years ago at university I attended classes on the subject and I'm still trying (and sometimes failing) to have a low waste lifestyle. I'm very proud of what they're doing ♡
I don't see them touring like the Rolling Stones into their 70's. I expect a Farewell World tour in 2026/27. After that, Chris will carry on with a solo career. Maybe Jonny will accompany him, but I can see both Will and Guy moving on. Guy is creating an entirely separate career in auto racing, publishing, & clothing design/manufacturing/distribution. Will can go into producing acts. All of the members of the band will be close to 50 once they conclude a World tour in 2027. It will be a good time to call it a day. U2 haven't really done much of consequence in 10 years. They do try to put out new music, but they haven't had much luck in gaining traction anymore. I suspect this is one of the reasons Coldplay is pulling the plug.

They're busy touring right now and I don't think they're able to releasen more than one album before 2025. And I'm not sure if this MOTS tour will be their last tour or what. I don't really see a reason för them to tour with old songs since touring is about promoting a new album. Maybe a anniversery tour but I doubt that there will be any more world tours. I'm going to see them in july and maybe there will be no more chances for me after that.....
They said they would stop making full length albums after they make their next 3 albums (which which the last one should end around 2025). But they’ll definitely still be touring! And they will likely still be making music. Just not to the scale of MOTS. But maybe releasing singles ☺️
@@noteable Moon Music was delayed until late January to early February 2024, and with the musical film its gonna be pushed back until late 2025, then the final album will be 2027, This was originally gonna be ended in 2024, but was delayed until 2025, and delayed until 2027,
With that license plate, I think they will start working on the final album in 2024 with MOTS 2 and 3 released in 2022 and 23 because Chris has said they are still working on Music of the Spheres, so it looks like they have been recording those albums and this new tour is going to be from 2022-24 to cover all 3 albums (although it could be 22-23 as one of the MOTS albums is going to be a musical which could be the final album and they may not want to tour that album) while also working on the finale album
@@brightersummerday Yeah but it will take at least a year and more, to re-record the songs especially if the songs are from Parachutes to Viva era (possibly even Mylo era) because the songs would of lose some quality on them or record the songs if they are new, producing them to sound them right, sorting out the order, getting it to the record companies to put them on discs, vinyls, tapes etc. It takes time, that's why I think originally the plan was to have the last album released on 2024 (with work starting in 2023, which meant that we supposed to have already two Music of the Spheres albums with the current album being in 2020 rather than now and Music of the Spheres Vol 2.) which is what the license plate was originally meant to be but the pandemic hit and put that to another year however that license plate still has revelance because they can just start working/recording on it in 2024. You can have the songs ready in terms of lyrics and maybe possibly arrangements but that doesn't mean they are recorded to the high standard or even recorded at all.

What if Music of the Spheres is a two-part series instead of a three-part one? And the album coming in 2024 is just something we don't know about yet? xD
I think you’ll find Coldplay have been writing and recording a lot of songs since 2019, as well as older unreleased songs being reworked. We also know the band have been recording songs for the next album this year. In that case, late 2022 is a likely release timeframe for MOTS vol. 2, and it would also provide Coldplay more new songs to play on tour. 2023 would be the gap year, but would have a live album being released perhaps. Then comes the final 2 studio albums, one being a musical in 2024 and the final album December 2025.
Even though I understand why Coldplay want to end making studio albums by the end of 2025, but I'm disappointed that there won't be a 13th studio album. It makes me wonder if Chris Martin thinks that 13 is an unlucky number.

I've grown up with Coldplay. I started listening to them in middle school and I'm in college now. Although I do feel a little sad that in 2025 they will make their last "proper album", I feel like this is honestly the best choice for them because they've been making music for so long and even Chris said making a full length album is intense. Every member of the band deserves a much needed break to enjoy life because, as you said, life is for living. Also, EPs and singles are a thing, so they won't stop making music completely.
coldplay is such an amazing band, but i really hope that this decision is the best they can make. i will enjoy each year we have left with them

I've grown up with Coldplay. I started listening to them in middle school and I'm in college now.
