What's the hype with hot dogs in Iceland?

Before heading out on our Iceland Quilt Tour, I was told by no less than 6 people, 'you HAVE to try the hot dogs!'. Even the staff at US Quilt Tours told me 'you HAVE to try the hot dogs!' So, I did!
