Disposable heroes, the four horsemen, blackened, one, battery to name a few
Mechanix
Creeping Death off this album is intense. Tells the bible story of the Passover in Egypt. Intense AF!!
The live version in Russia!
Live in russia!
@@andrewcastillo9558 LIVE IN RUSSIA!
Ride the Lightening and Master of Puppets are both perfect albums in my opinion. 16 tracks of perfection from Metallica released back to back.
Imagine being 19 years old living in Denmark ( Lars’ native country) and listening to this 🔥🔥🔥🔥….we went ballistic 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
same here in Germany in 1984, we went 50 km to a store to get the import of Kill em all on the 1st day
@ die Jugendjahre mit Metallica waren einzigartig 🔥😍🔥🤘🤘🤘…Grüsse aus Kopenhagen
It's hard to say what is the best of Metallica because they are the best 🤘❤️
One of the sickest guitar solo's ever. 🤟🤟🤟
I'll jump on for the ride. I was 18 when Led Zeppelin dropped their first album. In nineteen sixty nine. They changed music forever. Please check out some more of their music and the music of the 60s.And 70s Peace ✌️
They should dive into Zeppelin, Sabbath and Purple's songs one by one, in order. Hours of eargasms . ✌️😉
What i love about you guys is that you prove that when you keep your mind open and without judgement you can experience beautifully awesome things!!!! Thumbs up Bros!!!!
Metallica - Fade to black
In my opinion one of their top 3 songs. The ending guitar solo will make you feel things you didn't even know you can feel.
We reacted to that one! Go check it out!
@@R-EActsTV Oh, nice!
Kings of transitions! Love Metallica !
🔥🤘🏽🔥
I appreciate your take, fellows.
This was the music that I “discovered,” as a teenager. I have ONE suggestion for you: Harvester of Sorrow. I will add no more. Be well…
for whom the bell tolls, harvester of sorrow and blackened , you have to listen to these next
The MEN
The MYTHS
The LEGENDS
METALLICA 🔥🤘🏽🔥
FAN4LIFE 🫡
My favorite
Great reaction again gentlemen, you guys are feelin it 🤘
I was in 7th grade when I heard this in the locker room at school. Hit me like a hammer.
Glad you guys are discovering the good stuff. 🤘
I love the feelings and conclusions y’all got from this song because this is what I thought when I first heard this song for the first time 20 years ago
1985 Metallica
Day on the Green
For whom the bell tolls
With the late Cliff Burton on bass
His opening bass solo is EPIC
I was there
I'm not gonna lie, I've listened to this song about 14,000 times and I never rly put it together that the interlude/solo is like him actually going to the chair, but as soon as you said it, it's like a light bulb went off. Fuck ya 🤟
I’m so happy I found you guys from the early start listening to the bands I grew up on and did security for in the 80s. Keep the open mind going through this journey. Also remember NO AUTO TUNE. I feel you should watch some live videos to really grasp the intensity of these musicians. Keep up the journey and god bless you and yours.
Words not needed, hand over open mouth is the only logical response to this level of greatness
Just want to say that I'm loving your Metallica reactions! It's so refreshing and fun to witness first-time listeners. And your appreciation and analysis are spot on. Y'all just GET it.
Call of Ktulu from this album. It's about an ancient evil monstrosity asleep below the ocean, waking up.
TRUST. You want storytelling with a guitar? You listen to that track.
The music, especially in the background, perfectly captures the atmosphere of the story by the master of horror Lovecraft, which inspired Metallica to create this instrumental piece (the title of the piece is the title of Lovecraft's story).
You talking about the artist not knowing whether what they're making is good or not reminded me. The singer and rhythm guitarist for Metallica, James Hetfield, said in an interview that they thought people wouldn't like Master of Puppets because of all the riff, time signature, and tempo changes. Then they played it during a little promotional show in a small venue and some kids were in the front row yelling "MASTER! MASTER!" and he was thinking "You guys actually do like this?!" in the middle of playing it.
These guys wrote this in their 20s. What were YOU DOING in your 20s? All props 👏
Saving this for later when I blaze. Keep going man and I’m in for the ride!!
You guys have been killing it on these metallica analogies!! Great Job!! 🔥 🔥
This song was a beast to learn on bass!
"Oh, they switched the pocket" Lars would intentionally switch it up to add spice to the 4/4
Had to sub for the old school Metallica reactions. Some would disagree but the first 4 Metallica albums are on another level. Can’t go wrong with any song on the first 4 albums.👍🏻
I grew up head banging to this shit every where I cruised in my ride when I was a teenager in the 80's. They came onto the scene with a sound no one heard before. And in the 80's, before internet and social media, the only way to find this music was underground by cassette promo tapes getting passed around and reading metal music magazines. This shit was never never on main stream radio until the 90's. Me and the crew I hung with were smoking Mexican brick weed and banging to this in early and mid 80's. They softened up in the 90's with the Black album. You can do days and days of reaction videos to their music. Check out Kill em All, all of that album is great. Disposable Heroes on Master of Puppets also great and of course Orion. Really there isn't a bad track on any of their fist 4 albums Kill'em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets and And Justice For All. If you want to here a different sound by them check out Garage Days Re-visited, it's all covers. very good as well.
Creeping Death live in Moscow there were like 1.8 million people there. Right after the soviets were defeated all of their young people wanted a Metallica concert. Pantera was there and you must listen to Walk by Pantera.
Or watch Domination from that concert.
@@allenvrabac4827 I mean it's one of the greatest performances ever. Pantera is one of the greatest ever.
0:43 You are so correct and it's very cool that you recognized that. So cool you went down the rabbit hole of their talented greatness. I've been fortunate enough to see multiple live concerts from them and it's something i'll never forget.
"For whom the bell tolls" next from this great album!
I saw this tour in 85’ I was 19 years old. Amazing
Metallica were flawless from their debut album Kill "Em All in '83 to about '89/'90 IMO.
There's a reason the saying goes "Metallica is better than your favorite band." Keep it going guys. The Metallica journey is a long and awesome one!
You think so ? Testament are way more consistent better musicians too
@@JamesEvans-uh7nubetter musicians? Sure. Better song writers? No.
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name, one of the live versions. Similar topic with wonderful storytelling, really think you guys would enjoy 🤘
This entire album is worth reacting to, song by song, whatever order. Every song is a banger.
Beautiful reaction guys!! Metallica is an amazing band! Listen to Disposable Heroes 🤘🏻
Definitely want y'all to hear Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name
Awesome 🤘
First time watching the show I liked it loved it IDK if you reacted to Iron Maiden's song called Hollow Be Thy Name great storyline song by Bruce Dickinson he also sings about being on Death Row thanks for your time Sirs from NM home of LOBOS and DUKES
So glad you guys did this one early. “One” is great too, personally would do no video version first time.
best metallica
Heavy Metal gives you the full spectrum of emotions. Sorrow to Ecstasy.
Orion is an instrumental and amazing
You guys are iconic as a duo
What's up guys, new to yall channel. Great reactions and it's so awesome the younger generation is exploring the rock/metal classics. Look forward to more reactions and ìf yall want another great band to react to, judas priest-breaking the law is a classic.
You guys should react to a Megadeth song. They are one of the most technical impressive metal bands in existence. Incredibly complex riffs, time changes and etc. they are unreal. I would start with the song "Holy Wars....The Punishment Due" for "Wake Up Dead."
Need to watch these dudes’ LIVE performances
First line in this song is “guilty as charged, but dammit it ain’t right” protagonist of the song did do it
I agree. Most (even diehard fans) miss that point 😂
@@gary2kr1 I know. 'There's someone else controlling me' isn't someone else deciding your fate, like so many think, but rather your inner demons that you don't recognize controlling your actions. But, still guilty as charged.
Regardless, one hell of a song.
you really should watch them play live...it´s even better than listening to the record...the energy is unbelievable !
love the guy who is always looking at his phone.
Imagine they wrote this album they were 22 years old, that is crazy😅,i’m a fan of Metallica for almost 30 years
This is kind of off topic, but Dostoevsky, the famous Russian novelist, was sentenced to death and spent all night in a holding cell right up to when he was about to be put to death before his sentence was commuted. He then spent a few years in a Siberian prison camp. His writing is strongly informed by that experience which changed the whole trajectory of his life.
You guys got to check out something from Symphony and Metallica. Metallica with a full orchestra playing with them.
They got the idea for this song from a Stephen King novel called “the stand” It’s one of his two longest books at over 1000 pages. I’ve read it twice.
The book was amazing 🤘🏼and I had no idea this song was based on the book?!
Facts!
An absolute banger.
You guys gotta checkout “south of heaven “ by Slayer👍🏻
Seek and destroy one of my f****** favorites banger 💯💯😎😎
The same album and song with a similar theme about death "Trapped under ice" you should like
That was great....listen to more metallica....they are deep
You love Metal...you just never knew it, now you do. I went to this tour in San Francisco 1985 RIP Cliff
If you want more Bay Area thrash, Exodus, Testament, Machinehead, soo much more
React to EVERY song on this album pure freakin 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wait till you get to Fade to Black !!
We have already reacted to Fade to Black! Feel free to check it out!
TRAPPED UNDER ICE
Okay listen or not but here's a list of amazing old-school metal tunes you guys could listen to; you two seem like a decent coupla dudes so I wanna lay out a good metal menu for you from someone who's been a metalhead since '86. All these tracks have musicianship and atmosphere by the shedload.

sorry got carried away there but every single track is a BANGER
You gotta do "So What"
Ah yes
A good old British punk song.
Gotta say it's a brilliant cover, much like other covers by Metallica
You got to hear Injustice For All great album all the way through
Absolutely right!! And this song off the album is not one of my favorites. But it is still badass because it's Metallica!!!
'One' next!
It’s coming today go check it out!
Love it - please do Metallica Disposable Heroes. Metallica is great to do with lyrics
Would you believe me if I said that all the band members were in their early to mid twenties when they wrote this?
This one always reminded me of a video game soundtrack
I would like to recommend:
Danzig - Heart of the Devil.
Gary Moore - The Messiah Will Come Again (Live).
Iron Maiden - To Tame A Land.
Or Danzig : Mother!
@joelb8653 While it is a good song, it has become oversaturated.
@R/E acts...if you like history, or if you don't, you need to check out, Iron Maiden, and try out "The Trooper" for size...Rock on!!!
You don't have to get into the politics of it--think about the writing a song from the perspective of the doomed; guilty or not, the march towards one's own demise. It's dark, it's metal as F#$%, and it gives a wonderful backdrop for a macabre tale told through music!
Disposable Heroes, Dyers Eve, and of course One (watch "One" with the music video).
After Metallica give the band Tool a go. Start with the song The Pot. Musically they are arguably the most talented. The drummer is considered by many the best. See for yourself with the song Pneuma drum cam video.
No...If you want to "feel" the music don't do the video, do it only after the album song with lyrics.
The thing about thrash music at large is it's lyrical leanings towards social and environmental issues. While mostly comprised of melanin deficent artists and fans, we (or myself at least) take these songs and stories and apply them to our everyday lives, and call out people on their racist, misogynistic, fascist, greedy (etal) BS. Hypocrisy is not a virtue, and stupidity shouldn't get you elected. Nice reaction. Peace!
If you guys liked that then listen to Metallica “The Four Horseman” on Kill em All
Trapped Under Ice next. Believe me , a lot more than you think listen to this type of music. MEGADETH and Pantera needs to make an appearance. It's a go.
Infinite dreams Iron Maiden bro
Id like to see you guys check out some slayer. Reign in blood or ghosts of war. If you ever wondered what it would sound like descending into hell.... That would be the soundtrack. Sinister A.F!
It's taboo to pause during a guitar solo fellas. LOL I do enjoy your commentary though!
You go to the gym? No pre-workout needed. Just put on Metallica on your headphones and that's gonna get you pumping...
If you really want tragic -Angle of Death by Slayer- a song about the cruel things a Nazi physician was doing in the Auschwitz concentration camp
It's not Metallica, but it has one of the founding members of Metallica. Hard to go wrong with "Megadeth-Holy Wars"
Ever check when they did Symphony of Destruction live in Argentina? I get major goose bumps with the crowd chanting. If not?, you’ll love this!
😂
The only founding members of Metallica are Lars and James. Not hating because I love Megadeth too but just pointing that out. That being said, Holy Wars is amazing and I second that.
@@ovaismalikvo Yeah, I wasn't getting too technical.
Good song to bring that up on dude. Dave wrote the main riff and the bridge. That spider riff.
Disposable Heroes
I will say that the opening line of this song is actually "guilty as charged, but damnit, it ain't right, it's the beginning of the end." So, yeah, the opening line of this song indicates that he DID do it, but it's more that the punishment is unjust. That's my read of it anyway.
Every song on:
Ride the Lighting
Master Of Puppets
Kill Em All
Metallica are the Michael Jordan of music!
I Subscribed so you guys have to do Metallica One !
The song i prefer the most is am i evil
First three words of the song "guilty as charged". He did it.
Do yourself a favor fellas. Live versions. See them do it in person and go see a show for yourself.
My friend of misery
Hit the lights
The Judas Kiss
Cyanide
Orion(instrumental)
All nightmare long
Its got to be Yes Close to the Edge for a real journey.
Please check out "van Halen live without a net 'eruption"
check out for whom the bell tolls!
I second this request
🤘🏽
