I, personally, like the style of art the Darksiders franchise employs. IMO, it is the perfect mix of realism and fantasy. But, I also have to agree with you on that when the dice are cast, it isn't the solely the artwork's influence that decides whether it's a good game or not.

This game looks amazing. Yes the look and art style of the game isn't that realistic like lets say god of war. But does it have to be? Gaming isn't about how a game looks as much as how it plays and I'm fine with a game having its own unique art style and gameplay so to all you complaining that this looks like god of war or the art style is to "childish" just bear in mind this is its own game and while i won't disagree or talk negative about you're opinions i will have to disagree with them.
I prefer death's "ultimate or whatever" form, it could do without wings tho, I hope there is a "cheat or whatever" that let's one play through the story in THAT form, since it has "new-game+" if I'm not mistaken. like in god of war!

The Grim Reaper and Death are one in the same. Hence why this Death character occasionally takes on the dark flowing robes and scythe we know so well.
