The financial statement is one of the crucial elements used by the investors, creditors, and market analysts to evaluate a company's financial well-being and earnings potential.
One of the greatest investors in the world, Warren Buffett says that- “You have to understand accounting and you have to understand the nuances of accounting. It's the language of business and it's an imperfect language, but unless you are willing to put in the effort to learn accounting - how to read and interpret financial statements - you really shouldn't select stocks yourself.”
In this video, we have covered all the significant aspects of how to read a balance sheet in Hindi. Since it’s part 1 of the video, the remaining sections of the balance sheet are covered in the 2nd Part of how to analyze a balance sheet.
In this video, we have mainly covered the following things:
a) How to read and interpret the balance sheet
b) What is Financial Year?
c) What is a balance sheet?
d) Types of Balance Sheet

f) Why and how assets of the company are equal to the liability.

Shareholders fund does not form part of liabilities that's why we always write "Equity and Liabilities" on balance sheet rather than just Liabilities. Thank you so much for sharing us valuable knowledge. Just bcz of u we are able to make value addition in our knowledge.😇

Equity= Asset - Liabilities.
Shareholders equity is a liability to a company that needs returns on their investment.

DK 17, The margin money you pay to buy a option call or put option is premium. what will be your profit now ? If the option price goes above(in call) or below(in put) the strike price + premium paid by you. you'll starts to earn money. if its equal to strike price, you're not in profit, cause the premiun is still needed to be earned back.

if liabilities are equal to assets...than how we can judge a company having assets more than liabilities,as the balance sheets reflects them equal??
Assets = Liabilites + capital
we exclude some items from liabilities in order to find ratios,company calculates current ratio quick ratio,but all asset and liabilities are not considered some has to be excluded.
