I'm part of that big fanbase too. Waluigi has always been my favorite Mario character since I was a kid. No matter what spin off Mario title I play, Waluigi is always my number one choice

I think the main reason he doesn’t have his own game despite his popularity is because his fan base is only really in the western side of the Nintendo fan base because Nintendo has to appeal to both markets this is also why I think smash has so many fire emblem characters because it may not be that popular in the US but it has a massive following in japan it’s the opposite case for waluigi he is only has a real fans in the west i think this is why Nintendo doesn’t care about him

I like your story idea but I think you could go into a more sympathetic angle where the first part shows nobody really takes him seriously but then all of the main Mario characters leave to go fight bowser or something leaving him behind a new threat emerges and it’s up to waluigi to save the day

rob the robot had no real game and hes a outdated toy, daisy is a stupid clone with no game, mr game and watch is also very outdated. the plant is just some enemy. ice climbers are also outdated. captain falcon is cool yet hasnt had a game in decades, the same pokemon, no one new, mii's are trash but they are wasting a slot. the fans have made very creative games but nintenDUH doesnt even bother. jesus christ, not shitty cringe lord pepe.
