    This is going to help a lot because trying to sew every aspect of a tiny piece of clothing is a pain, especially when you have arthritis.

      I think its fabulous for the same reasons as you and because its less bulky looking in the finished items...I am making stuff for 10.5 cm (1:18th) and its a lifesaver!

    This is a fantastic tutorial, thank you so much! I suck at sewing and I'm sick of butchering my tiny clothes.

    Super tips. It's so hard to be neat in 1:12th scale and this really helps me.

    OMG!!! I love this video. I can put this to use in so many ways. I have a friend who used to make awesome doll clothes with Fabritac. Now I know how she did it. Another doll'er presses her glued seams to speed up the drying process. Thank you so much for this video. I'm a new subscriber.

    What is the purpose of the butte seam?
    I just came across your channel and love the topics you have in it and subbed. I am currently collecting patterns of clothing to create a shop and your tips and tutorials are helping me big time. I work with the 1:12 scale. Thank you for this informative video.

    • @MiniDollKits
      @MiniDollKits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the late reply. Butt seam is just an alternative way to join the fabrics. I use it less than other methods but there are times when the butt seam allows a more crisp turn in the fabric join.

    Doesn't the glue make it kind of stiff so it won't "fall/lay" right‽

    Excellent video I loved it and so easy to follow. Do you have a video on cutting the pattern pieces out? I’m having a hard time cutting around corners and neckline trying to follow pattern and was wondering if there’s a easier way or trick to doing it. Thanks for any help and new sub :)

    • @MiniDollKits
      @MiniDollKits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Transfer the pattern to a piece of tissue paper first. Pin it to the fabric and use tiny scissors, not full size sewing ones. You can also trace the pattern onto fabric if you use disappearing ink fabric pen. hope this helps

    Please could you explain why you take x2 pieces of fabric and join down the centre when it could be just one piece? Many thanks. I like the glue method for making dolls clothes so much easier.

    • @MiniDollKits
      @MiniDollKits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Bluebel. Sometimes it is to mimic where a seam would occur on the full size piece of clothing and other times to allow the fabric to turn and conform to the dolls body more easily. If you make a paper towel mockup (toile) of the clothing before using your fabric it helps you choose whether two pieces or one works best. Hope that helps.
