Point of Clarification: ang pioneer Professors sa U.P. Medicine, nag-umpisa as Philippine Medical School noong 1907, ay galing sa United States bilang sa itong isang American Medical School ( Beginning in 1940, U.P.. College of Medicine was accredited as a Member in Good Standing of The Association of American Medical Colleges or AAMC, granting it's alumni privileges to practice MedicIne in U.S. hospitals. ). 'Other' Faculty were recruited from among the country's ELITE doctors of the time that included medical school graduates from Spain ( Unibersidad Complutense de Madrid, University of Vienna, University of Munich and other eminent medical institutions in Europe as well as UST. ). So HINDI siya EXCLUSIVE 'USTE"!

Apply ka lang ng apply sa iba't ibang mga scholarship programs (private and public) and hopefully marami ang mapasahan mo and mag fund ng med school mo. :) Good luck!

This video reminds me of my college years in UST. The college of Medicine and Nursing shared the same building back then. I live in the USA for 44 years now and a retired RN...so proud to be a Thomasian. Hopefully , will make sure to visit my Alma Mater next time I visit the Philippines. Thank you to both Dr Hayden Kho and Dr Vicky Belo, more power to both of you!

You should add the adverb ‘arguably’ before ‘The BEST’ since U.P. College of Medicine ( beginning in 1940 ) became a FULL Affiliate Member in Good Standing of AAMC, Association of American Medical Colleges ahead of UCLA ( University of California, Los Angeles Geffen School of Medicine), University of Kansas Medical School, The Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota etc., etc. while all of above ELITE 🇺🇸American Medical Schools and ‘other’ 🇨🇦 Canadian Medical Schools were ‘just’ or STILL PROVISIONAL ( probationary ) members of AAMC. ☝️U.P. FIGHT!

In the field of Medicine anywhere in the World, you become an expert based on the sheer number of cases and patients that you see. Philippine General Hospital the country’s National University Hospital is the republic’s tertiary referral center, the largest and busiest hospital in the archipelago. Historically and until today, it is the best place to train physicians in ANY specialty. UP also recently surpassed Harvard in terms of research articles and number of citations. It is still the best place to learn any clinical skills, surgical, diagnostic or clinical acumen.

Facilities pa lang panalo na UST FMS. Kitang-kita din sa PLE na topnotchers ang UST grads. Kahit madami silang students, mataas pa din passing rate.

UST will always be my dream school, kaso ayun hindi pumasa kasi quota course ang kinuha haha. Still hoping na makapag aral pa in the future with my dream course which is BS Biology. I graduated naman sa sister school ng UST which is Colegio de San Juan de Letran haha wala lang share ko lang.
