I have that same Canon scanner. It does a great job with all types of scans. Paper docs, printed photos, slides and negatives.

    No one noticed 2:19-2:20?
How are you catching dust if you miss that?
Nice video. Hadn’t thought to apply merge to dust removal.
    Thanks for the advice!

You realize that if you enabled FARE when scanning the images with the 9000F M2, it will do an infrared scan to remove dust so you dont have to manually do it later in photoshop, right?

I mention it in the other video, the results are awful, it turns dust into smudgy boogers. Not recommended.

HI Jayquist, I love your two uploaded videos. I am about to purchase a scanner for my slides and negatives. I am not a pro or anything , but I would like to review my work for over 20 years and maybe print some of that into a large format. Do you still reccomend the CanoScan 9000F MKII? Let me know and thanks again. I love your sense of humor!

This scanner was released in 2012, and it still seems to be the best one on the market. It gets pretty annoying to get going on it, but it does achieve great results.

Some people suggest using alcohol. But I'm leary to use it, since damaged film can't be undone
