This almost makes me wish they were in a TARDIS team of 3 for the entire era. They clearly get on so well, so much so they turned a panel into them just talking as friends
God I wish I had been born in the 40's. The 60's were a good time to be a young adult, and a brilliant time to be so if you also had some money in your pocket. These three are good people from better times.
The cast of Classic DW were a family, and as anyone who has lost a family member will tell you, that is something you know you got to accept, but you never ever get over it. R.I.P Debs, we'll always treasure your time in the Troughton Era.
Just finished The Space Wheel again and watching Jamie grow from a strong willed youth saddled with adult responsibility, into a strong gentleman by learning to live by the heart and love as Vicki did, lose her and become a Kind Hearted, Thoughtful Man, who defends others by Zoe's influence. It showed how important they were to each other and displayed such a beautiful and organic healthy human connection that could only happen by opening themselves up to the unfamiliar life of another person. ❤❤❤
@@BeAGoodDoga It's an absolutely brilliant story! Atmosphere, great characters, and surprisingly effective horror are practically falling out of its ears, plus it has a heart-pounding climax and one of the best companion departures of the show. Easy 10/10 for me. (And I've only seen the telesnap reconstruction with still shots and the soundtrack, not even the animation!)
"How did you get the part as a child?" "He knew my daddy and mummy and nothing else mattered. There's no nepotism in the acting industry though... It's just talent and raw hard work..."
I still find the constant need to be the joker a little bit tiring, when I watch Frazer Hines in fandom events. I love him as Jamie in the second Doctor era and have really enjoyed it at past fandom events over the years when he has been serious for a moment and talked about behind the scenes problems, decisions and making the series during the 1960's. My favourite was when he said he wished to appear on the Simon Dee talk show that was very popular when he was playing Jamie, Dee Time (1967). However Patrick Troughton did not wish to be on as he didn't feel it was right to appear as himself, as he felt it gave people to much insight into the actor behind the character of the Doctor. This resulted in him not being able to go on alone and missout on appearing on the show.
Wow this is extraordinary for me to see. Patrick Trenton was my doctor. I was at American kid living in England and I remember all three of them and then we moved back to America and guess what! we started raising Westies dogs!! ha ha what a coincidence
If the enemy of the world was released to the public in October 2013, why would Deborah Watling say she'd junk the enemy of the world, which didn't exist at the time?
R.I.P. Deborah Watling. She’s still a legend. And she still looked as beautiful as ever, right up until she died.
12:57 , 'which I keep up here'... referencing arguably the most iconic Troughton scene...
Imagine what an amazing Tardis quartet team they would’ve made! Rest In Peace to Patrick and Deborah, God rest their souls.
Deborah Watling was such an adorable kind woman.
miss her so much
I totally agree.
She was lovely and is missed greatly
She had the best giggle

"Enemy of the World" is one of my favorites with Patrick Troughton!
Rip Deborah Watling you have fun in heaven with Patrick Troughton and Nicholas countey and Jon Pertwee
Did he just say CORONASchool? xD
Never met Debbie sadly but have met Frazer and Wendy ,both lovely.
Met Deborah in 2013 at a convention in Newcastle, Wendy was there too. They were incredibly nice to everyone there.
We miss you Debora Watling

These three are good people from better times.
Yeah but then you’d be 80 now
My other half is a lovely guy bless him but always on about Doctor Who and he told me that this is absolute gold and should be able to view on a DVD.
I absolutely love these three
I love these three so much...
I wonder if they've ever done a panel with Anneke? I'd enjoy seeing all four of them together!
There’s one with Anneke and William Russell, I don’t think she’s ever done one with any of this group
Frazer Hines was on his best behaviour this time. That's good.
Yeah, I knew you'd bring that up.
Lol
Nothing wrong with Frazer, mate.

Met Debs back in the 90s - a wee sweetheart !! xx
i've been trying to watch all the Classic Who episodes in the last few months and i'm so so happy to have found this interview
That was great to see thank you

Burn "Enemy of the World"?!? That's heart breaking! I love that episode! :'( Imho it's the best story of the Troughton era.
I know a youtuber who placed it on his 10 worst 60s stories.
Donna Lang yeah... For years, we only had episode 3... So I can see why some people are such jerks... I liked it myself.
I'd say
1. Fury from the Deep
2. The War Games
3. The Enemy of the World
Eclectic Dog 2K why Fury From The Deep?

I met Frazier Hines he's a delight

The news of its return had probably broken already
@@jaded6530 episode 3 existed at the time.
Ah Salamander bahahahahahah I'm sure Al Paccino took tips for Scarface lol.
Rip Deborah:(
Jamie is my favorite companion, and I still have a crush on Jamie and Frazer, respectively.
Deborah Watling was kinda cranky lol
Love this era
