I have a 93 USA Fender blues deluxe that is awesome. I also use the Peavey Classic 30 tweed In stereo with my Princeton 65. I have more amps but these 3 I mentioned are not going anywhere, love em. I’ve had good results with the Jr but not as much as my big 3.
Love this!! super cool. More please. Thanks from mtw and 99 in L.A. , CA. Cheers from Peavey Teal Stripe player. A buddy's got a Peavey Vintage 30 tweed. stock. Gotta get a gig to play 'em out! ha ha
I love the blues deluxe especially with an upgraded speaker such as the one you have and also running a 12aY7 preamp tube for the clean channel. This way you go from 100% distorted tube down to a45% which makes more sense when running clean. Likewise with a 12aT7 preamp tube for the phase inverter which is down to a 60% distorted tube. Just these few changes renders an amazing sound. I think the original 59 Bassman amp ran this type of pre amp lineup as well back in the day.
Literally three of my favorite amps! I’ve had divided by 13, tone King, Dr. Z over the years, and always prefer my trusty, blues junior! I always regret selling my peavey classics 30 and my Blues Deluxe.
Until the board burns down in them. Any competent amp tech will tell you to stay away from it. The peavey is probably the most dependable and it sounds really good live.
@@earlycuyler8719 I never liked peavey. Yes the amp has some weakspots and i had to repair the amp twice already but my amp is now 30 years old and i love the sound.
I've got the WGS G12C (non-S). They are really fantastic speakers, That Blues Jr sounds a lot better than most, I'm thinking it's the speaker making the difference. Great demo thanks
If you use Delay, reverb pedals, you want a effects loop.i don't think the jr has one . But I know the peavey classic 30 does and that little amp rocks!
Great review (subscribed). One question, I have a good deal on a peavey 30 and a Supro 10. My question is: I live in a flat and I don't want to get killed by my neighbours. Can I get good tones out of the peavey with a low volume? The Supro has great reviews and may be more suitable for a house. I trust your recommendation. Best wishes
Celestion vintage 30s are the best never part with those. Love them in my oranges. If you're ever in the market for a new amp for this type of music you should consider supro they take pedals to the face very well. Playing pink Floyd leads in seconds.
Five minutes of talking and 30 seconds of playing a single riff on each amp and you call this an amp "shootout". Not even close! You never explore the various sounds these amps produce by changing the preamp and master volume combinations that each amp has and contrast the differences between them. You never explore the channel switching capabilities and how they can be employed during a live show. You never push the gain capacity of any of the amps and provide any comparison of their similarities or differences to demonstrate how they may affect a live performance. The title of this video should be "How three different amps sound at a wedding reception".
The blues deluxe in terms of tone knocks the peavey and the blues junior into a cocked hat. What is the obsession you have with size all about ??, surely it is about the sound ??.

Loving this. Great collection of tube amps. So alive sounding.
Peavey, Fender. what more do ya need?? ha 12ax7s oooooh yeah
That Peavey is a great amp I had all of those amps the classic has more headroom than the blues Jr

Peavey Classic 30 👑
I feel the classic 30 sounds a lot like that Blues Deluxe. Must be that Blue Marvel
speaker

Blues deluxe rules against many other combos in that price range and beyond.

Digging the headroom in the BD. 6L6 FTW.
6L6 actually
@@gibs8412 Ha! I guess that's where the headroom comes from lol. Updated.

If you don’t like that peavey I’ll take it
Blues Deluxe is a 6L6 amp,
Too much talky. Not enough rocky
Blues jr, hot Rod deluxe, or blues deluxe…I only play in the basement. Which do you prefer and why?

I prefer the blues junior because it’s quieter if you’re playing in a basement.

I’ve owned both, didn’t care for the supro, peavey is an amazing amp
Steve Hunter, yeah.

not enough headroom for clean on the junior
Unfair comparison, only one amp is on the ground.
Is the blues deluxe a lot louder than the junior?
It’s a good bit louder
A lot louder. The blues deluxe and hot Rod deluxe are painfully loud
What kind of guitar is that? I'm looking for an HH Strat.
Hi guy, what guitar do you use ? Is this a noventra ?
Just a modded Mexican Strat!
Just letting you know that they're not 6V6's. They're 6L6's. Big difference.
Sounds muddy peavey and blues jr blues deluxe I would change speaker with Jensen
EL 34s could not sound as good as a 6L6 in anything.
These are EL84s, btw.
@@ald7248 You can tell

Bla bla bla
Blah blah blah….. and then a couple of minutes of music?!? Like Zappa said: Shut up and play!
