    Is the DFF3D compatible with the TZ2?

    • @FurunoMarineElectronics
      @FurunoMarineElectronics  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the DFF3D is compatible with all NavNet TZtouch2 MFDs. 👍

      @@FurunoMarineElectronics Love my twin screen TZ's on my 28 Regulator! Is there any functionality that I would loose by not having the TZ3 system? To get this system I would have remove my current transducer and replace with the DFF3D transducer correct?

    • @FurunoMarineElectronics
      @FurunoMarineElectronics  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KeithHumes Yes, you would have to add a DFF3D transducer or replace your current transducer with a DFF3D combo transducer.
      The new NavNet TZtouch3 does have some functionality that the TZtouch2 does not have, but your TZtouch2 MFDs will drive the DFF3D in the way same as NavNet TZtouch3.

      @@FurunoMarineElectronics Ok so the DFF3D combo transducer will slip right into my old transducer spot? The Regulator has a nice built in transducer area right in the aft area. I have wanting this system for a while now. I look forward to installing it this winter!

      @@KeithHumes You should definitely talk to your Furuno dealer about the details for transducer installation for your vessel. I have a feeling that you're going to love the DFF3D, Keith!

    Can your side scan soft wear close the center black center section?

    • @FurunoMarineElectronics

      All manufacturers use the same basic method/principle for side scan, which is two beams shooting in a direction covering the water column off each side of the boat, not under it. In using side scan mode, it is impossible to close the coverage under the boat as you are only using two beams. However, we are the only company who can close that gap under the boat as the DFF3D runs a third beam, giving the user a stitch-free, smooth picture of everything under and around the boat. When using the DFF3D you can choose between side scan and three other modes. Traditional side scan does not show what’s happening directly under the boat. However, by choosing either the 3D History Mode, Cross Section Mode, or Triple Beam Mode, you will see off the side AND under the boat at the same time. We give our users the best of all worlds by letting them choose exactly what they want to see and how they want to see it. I am a firm believer in furuno every boat I have any control of electronics, has furuno on it. My boat has a furuno 582 on it with the biggest transducer I could get for it. But for inshore I use it in conjunction with humming bird side scan, and for over six years they have h had the ability to close that gap, it's in the menu. At the current time I am running "as we remodel" a classic 53 foot Buddy Harris charter boat. Iam trying to talk the owner into getting a furuno df3d. My question on closing the side scan gap was for my knowledge because it makes reading the side scan view more explainable to customers. I am a diehard furuno for offshore and inshore. I am a retired charter b part Captain that rebuilds, builds and repairs Boats. When a customer tells me set it up like it's yours, I like to be able to explain things to the nth degree with certain customers. I understand the 3-d and having experience with older 3-d I had a jump start with your version. And with the new finger touch twist, I think if I can get the right customers back on board market share will go back to the way it should be. I like and use furuno

    Hi. If this sonar work for the small boat???

      There is a transom mount transducer that you could install on the boat. I guess it really depends on how small of a boat. Here's a link to the transom mount transducer: www.furunousa.com/en/products/165t-tm54
