I really like the dramas where both the leads are equally smart n witty n at the same time good in fights too...the way they play mind games n challenge each other is so entertaining...n they always outsmart their enemies n try to outsmart each other but then there is a twist...its just so fun
Best I have seen in the past 6 months! The ending was good, the storyline was solid, the actresses were actually attractive, the male actors were handsome and all the characters played their roles well! I hope Season 2 is in the works with the same writers, directors and cast.
I have seen many great dramas , but royal rumour is actually not that good. I mean love the actors. Their good. But There is not much detailed backstory. The plot and plan of the storyline is pretty lame and simple. doesn't show much scenery. It was not well directed in detail. The political story wasn't much challenging with arguments and rebuttal.
This was sooo good! I am getting addicted to Chinese Movies and TV Series. They are so well written, great acting wholesome scenes and great cinematography! ❤🎉

2:30 = now I have seen Chinese drama enough, even if I am so slowly as a bradipuos... I watch every drama at a very slowly pace, in order to enjoy (or disregarded or thinking about them) everythong. I know a little bit how all the things go in such a case... I like and enjoy, when every details is "right"... Here, I want to say something that I have noticed plentiful times... we have here the assembly (gathering) of all the conseillors and dignitaries of the Emperor... and then, please, take a look now... how they could be such a characters??? from the third row onwards, only very young extras can be seen and whose faces certainly do not express a habit of study, wisdom and knowledge.... it is such a evident thing! how can a director do this? are we all so blind or uncultivated? me not.... I know the history, I do my best to study and go deep in the Chinese history... why does the director let this shot be so absurd, non-believable and far from the historical context?
I have only just begun watching this, and going in blind, I suspect the "maidservant" is actually the princess, and the "princess" is a badass female guard. 🤔 Nope. I'm wrong. Princess is princess. Would have been a great plot twist, 'tho.
She is hinding her power so act different from her real character but here people with zero mind ready to criticize her with knowing her don't judge so quickly even if I'm wrong about her character atleast I'm waiting to know if she really annoying to act like childish or not not like people commenting that she act like childish to look cute and yeah i really hate when people think if a girl is strong and powerful that mean she can't be cute 🙄 look like there is no brain in there head 🤣😂
What a roller coaster, and not in a good way! I love the costumes; the family relationship of the main leads; the female lead's sisterly relationship with her maid. BUT, the writing/ directing is TERRIBLE! I understand that they want to present the main female as multidimensional, but why is she acting like a psycho patient? She just killed 8 men and when she met the crown prince, she's acting like a ditzy teenager again? China and Asia in general needs to stop obsessing with youth/cuteness/ innocence to the point of infantilizing their women. And this is from an Asian woman herself. Hua Liuli had so much potential as an empowering character. The sickly act gets tiring after 4 episodes. The childish talk doesn't suit her character as generals' daughter who grew up in the barracks with robust and burly soldiers. Jeremy's eyes are red all throughout the show. I think he's a little old to be playing this character (maybe it's a case of bad script or direction). And I'm someone who wants to see actors 30 years old and above!
She’s faking being weak on purpose so people will have low expectations for her and also not think her family is power hungry. There are rumors that her family wants to seize more power after the battle. Why she wants to appear weak to put people at ease while she’s in the capital alone.
36 :06 = I know now, this drama will be only worth to be seen because of the beauty of the two main leads... but, for the script... it is already a mess, really a mess, unreasonable and without any stand point from a logical and historical perspective
I'm very disappointed in this drama. Not much action, not much political issue, and the romance is corney and the comedy is stupid. Overall the story line is not so good. The female lead supposed to be a mean vicious hard core generals daughter like it's rumor but her character doesn't portray that.

There is no twist and turn. The story is pretty boring and corney. It lacks a lot of detail plotting and storyline that's all. Now if you've seen joy of life. You will understand what I'm talking about. It's politically good, there is some romance, and rumours.and it's good.

Richard Li is not the main Lead but I’m glad to see him in longer episode dramas instead of those short mini dramas.
