@@cody42693 Umm, no, I've just seen a meme on makeup tutorials which I think was also made by a girl. Edit: wait, I read "You're on something" instead 🤦♂️.

Man, a wonderfully succinct and clear delineation of the design process, LFO’s, filters, FX, etc. I loved the use of two different LFO’s. I’m new to synthesis and I feel I’ve been hampered with the rule of thumb: “stick to one LFO when modulating.” Great tutorial!
Ppl will sleep on it but the trick w/ the noise lvl is the reason VR is always one step ahead of everyone in terms of sound design. The dude always finds something new little trick to widen his already insane arsenal
To make the LFO or Automation on the knobs go left and right from the middle just hold alt+shift and click the knob after you've already placed the LFO on it. 4:42
VR if you want to change your modulation from uni to bipolar, just 'alt+shift+click' with your cursor on your lfo. It instantly changes between the 2 modes. This can be done with any lfo or macro or envolope mldulation. Hope this helps. And lovely video btw. I learned a lot about the messy riddim basses you made in your newer tracks and also what you do to make sounds with simple processes and experimentation. So much inspiration!!!
For those who don't know (ctrl+shift+click to get the dial to be in the middle of the area of lfo influence - you dont need to go into the matrix to change that)

4:45 alt+shift+click to change the directionality of modulations in Serum in case anyone was wondering
damn beat me to it :P I can't believe how many producers don't know that shortcut
Saves sooo much time, yeah
Are there any other keyboard shortcuts in Serum ?? I only know this one
oh whoops lol i just commented that too and didn't realize you already said it
also can right click the knob - "rest control" - then slap the LFO down and will be multi directional :)

Virtual Riot once again answering just about all my current sound design questions in a single video. I love this man.
It needs Eliminate's OTT-Octagon.
I watch a bunch of his videos and was like, what the hell is that. Then the next video was eliminate adding 8 otts 😂
0:41 this sound was used in Panda Eyes' I Am Undead
ALWAYS ADD

4:23 virtual riot NOT knowing something about serum???????? I thought he was born tweaking LFOs and playing with filters
I know right
By the way I did 69th like.
He was born tweaking LFOs and playing with filters, just in Massive
Virtual Riot was making bangers way before Serum Existe. Did it in Massive.
He uses more Massive than Serum, lmao
Dude my reactions were like -25 ms when i clicked this lol
When its virtual riot I click way faster
It's always a good day when Disciple upload a tutorial

The shortcut for changing the unipolar to bipolar is shift alt left click on the knob or shift option left click

The modulating the cutoff of the effects in serum is godly but so simple i love it.
0:42 that's the sound panda eyes used in I am undead.
I think
I always loved that bass so much and no I see, that it's just from a preset pack😂
Thanks.. I was going mad trying to understand where I listened to that before
@@blacksitemusic With a ton of modulation. The sound is so far from the original preset...
so I’m not the only one lol
Thought the same
I never would have thought of using a Sophie sample to make dubstep. That's pretty cool.

"alt+Shift+Click" on the modulating knob to toggle between bi-polar and mono-polar modulation
Ayy, nice to see the Novation Circuit here
Right? Surprised me. Was jamming on mine the other day.
Is his Phat Rack in a video anywhere? That’s what made the sound. Saturator/ott but obviously in some specific order/optimization?
So basically modulate every parameter with an lfo until it sounds really distorted then put a compressor on it and a limiter on the master channel
You got it!
Damn all this time I’ve been a preset junkie until now , Thanks a billion!!!

My last two braincells during a math exam
LOL .
The command to change between unipolar and bipolar is Shift+Alter+click
For Mac: Shift+option+click
For unipolar/bipolar toggle, you can alt+shift left click the blue LFO symbol on which ever parameter you're modulating.
seen this video so many time and still learn and apply something every time thank you v riot
For those who don't know (ctrl+shift+click to get the dial to be in the middle of the area of lfo influence - you dont need to go into the matrix to change that)
you can hold alt+shift and press left click on little headphone for changing bipolar and unipolar type :)
