I have got my karimor snow boots back out of the cupboard as the sudden drop in temperature is playing havoc with me chilblains and they are well clunky. Even though today is a beautiful spring day there is still much cold at ground level, thanks Gemma 😁
This was so interesting, Gemma. I have just been working with a counsellor on "the gap". That space between past and future which is now and also taking "a gap" or hitting pause to observe what is going on for you and to notice your feelings. Weirdly also I had to throw out a pair of shoes that were actually worn through just on the left foot that I've had for yeeears. Hate throwing shoes out! But maybe this is my autumn thing here, brushing away fallen leaves and worn out shoes. Don't want a wet footed winter! 👟☔⛄
I love your screen name! I had a friend from out of town visit me last year and help me clean out some closets because my husband passed away a couple years ago and I couldn’t bring myself to do it and I had a pair of pink flats that I had had for over 30 years and she made me throw them away. I loved them! It sounds like you have a good counselor. I have two, believe it or not, and I don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I’m a slow learner. 😁💕
I have always been and still am blissfully unaware of seasonal activities. No preparations, no wardrobe changes. Part of it is living in a temperate climate in California, but I was the same way growing up in Illinois where we had more defined seasons.

It is 78 degrees here, today! I cannot believe it! I ordered a gauze blouse for Spring/Summer. I also think about repainting some furniture. I am not committing to DOING it, but I am thinking...
Are you in the Midwest of the US? I’m in Missouri. The frogs are singing tonight! And I’m afraid they’ll die tomorrow night when the cold front comes in. This is crazy! My body is confused. 🤪
@@sarasmith99 I just remembered that there was someone I met online before who lived in Greenwood, Missouri and I think it might’ve been on this channel! Was that you? I’m in Independence. 💕
The 9 cups lady is floating on a cloud - more floating required here! I would like to be stood on the weird bit in the middle please 🙏 I’m trying hard, I really am. Thank you Gemma 🙏❤✨
I wear sketchers unos and they come in a lot of fun colors in grownup and kids sizes. I also have a pair of knit fabric sketchers that you can just pull on, and they have a thinner sole, which I like for longer walks (I like to feel the ground). I like sketchers because they tend to be very light and comfortable, but I would like to try a pair of vivo barefoot shoes at some point, because of liking to feel the ground (when I have the funds). I’ve gone through times of having holes in my shoes and I fully agree about soggy feet (the worst!). I always felt like some Victorian scullery maid or something equally grim and destitute.
Fun fact, a Pisces feet are most typically one of two things, very small, or very big! Other people where adults have small feet are Asians, so there are billons of small sneakers for adults if one dares shop online, I mean most stuff ordered online comes from Asia anyway.
Perfect reading. The title says it all. Ain’t that the truth? I find as I get older, my feet get really hot easily, so I have to wear shoes that don’t have any backs on them and that have lots of ventilation. It’s a pain because I used to love boots. All kinds. Thank you, Gemma. 💕💕 P. S. We broke a record today where I’m at in the US for the hottest February 26 on record and the frogs are singing tonight. I love to hear them, but it’s too early. I don’t want them to freeze. This is sad. 😪
It's definitely the garden thing and getting plant's and flowers potted. I love spring. This year though I've been working lots already. Hasn't it been cold though? Sunny but cold. I bought new trainer's. 😅. I had to as my other's have got spoilt with mud and are worn from Moving home. I've misplaced my other one's when i moved house. Im often in my own way. Thank you. ❤️ x
This is spot on & super helpful! I actually just broke out my flip flops the other day b/c we had a warm day here in Oakland, CA. :) I need to replace my trainers too - the bottoms are getting pretty shabby. Thank you as always Gemma! ❤❤❤
i live in Vermont USA we are just on the verge of what is called Mud Season where the ground begins to in-thaw and turn into a slog of semi- frozen mud. This necessitates us acquiring sturdy warm water-proof footwear usually weighing 5+ lbs trainers won’t be visible here for 2 more months!! much love, grace
Hey Gemma I always see Winter as being December Jan, February and March. I might be persuaded that April is springtime but I'd still be cautious as in my experience Easter (normally in April) can be cold and/ or downright wet and misogg. So I'm in fur (faux) lined boots or memory foam trainers until it's consistently above 19c 😂
Also putting away the shovel. It's still rainy and cold and I haven't changed footwear or jacket yet. In Sweden you say something like, you are supposed to sweat while waiting for spring and freeze while waiting for winter to come. Still not sweating though😅. Thanks for the reading❤🙏🏽
Transplanted 2 potted plants (had killed another one), tried to decide which old shoes to get rid of, washed the bed sheets. We have a high of 58 degrees F., so maybe go for a walk. I think maybe too much caffeine.. Thanks, Gemma!
Well... I'm living in peninsula in the south and so it is spring here which is lovely...(will send you a pick) and this is when you can buy fresh winter veggies strangely. But when I lived in the north I found that it was hard to transition out of my boots and long socks...but somehow by May your sniffing lilacs in a sunny frock...hmmm 🪻🪻🪻🌷🌷🌷
Hello! 👋 I did used to buy boy’s trainers when there were shops in the high street selling shoes. It’s become a bit more difficult now that it’s all gone online but I might give it another try 🙏♥️ Welcome to the Gemstars! 🥳
in memoriam for my Dad (nick name Zigo, meaning gypsy, constant inspiration): Gemma you know this one, TS Eliot, Marina, "what seas what shores what grey rocks and what islands? What water lapping the bow/And scent of pine and the woodthrush sing through the fog. What images return, O my daughter."❤❤
I often clear out things I pulled some clothes I don’t wear what about children’s trainers they go up to size 5 love todays reading seems to echo that feeling of energy shifting thanks Gemma❤
When it comes to footwear I’m still in trainers or ankle boots. The sandals don’t make an appearance until at least April when I start painting my toes again 🙂xx
In Canada we have company called MANITOBAH ; they have excellent multiple styles. Look great. Cosy. Waterproof. MANITOBAH MUKLUKS 9 of wands; wisdom and illumination after great suffering
Time for new trainers. I know you mentioned black ones. I like black or white basic. However, I have found some cute ones that for me seem out of character. Bright teal with orange soles. Not suggesting by he sane color combo. Might even be difficult to find even if you wanted them. For older Americans it might remind you of the old no longer with us,Howard Johnson's restaurants. How about some Cadbury purple trainers!😆
On a mission running out of puff. I think your postal code is not up to date was trying to send an amusing book to cheer us all up. Very possibly me. Now on new computer.

Oh, I left a quote from TS Eliot from the poem Marina somewhere vr recently. And ... trainers, size 7? New Balance Black all weather winter summer.
Size 7? Black trainers? I found New Balance would not embarrass your wonderful son and super comfortable. I am obviously older than you Gemma but trekk about ❤❤🛴🛴🐶🐶with intrepid (small) hound. Just now going through a rough time with radiotherapy and very lucky someone is helping her out. She means EVERYTHING to me and your channel is a life saver.
Online is the land between, the place that is both everywhere and nowhere, connecting all.
I do gardening. Lettuce and onions. Radishes and spinach. I’m am a gardener. I always look forward to the season.
I plan to attempt gardening this year. Lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and may tey cucumbers this year.
Putting away the snow boots, shovels and be semi set for spring to come.
I’m currently reading an Angeles Arrien “The Four-Fold Way” and also have her Crowley tarot guidebook which I received way back in 1997.
Being in the southern hemisphere, this time of year is my last chance to get blankets washed and dried for the year.
Doing the same here in NZ, Rosie!

Good thing we don’t have to mess around with sinews anymore.

Thank you ❤

Nice red mug. I'm having a coffee, beans from Burundi with the frothed cashew milk. Raining here but spring like temps.
L O L my sandals will last for years, as I am barefoot most of the time, even on my nature walks

The Mud Boots are still in season hereabouts for February. Some areas are quite unkind to nice footwear☂ ❄❄
Hi G, I can only wear my trainers at the moment, because I'm suffering from Plantar Fasciitus, very painful, so no dancing for me, boohoo !! Xx
Try reading the Great Pain Deception.
I start to open more windows at this time of year. I am still in socks and shoes or slippers. 😂
This seasons hottest trend is sinews & newborn calves 🧥💅🏼 (your expression when you got to that part 😆🤣)
I'll keep all seasons at hand for quite a bit longer. You can get all of them in the same day in Ohio.
❤ (from a newly minted GemStar) For small athletic shoes you might try the children’s offerings, often the same as the adult versions.
